Webinar on “ELEVATING COMMUNICATION SKILLS DURING THE LOCKDOWN- PROFESSIONAL AND


PERSONAL” by Ms. Sangeeta Magan, HOD, NDIM

On 8th May, 2020 the first webinar of the ECA Committee was organised by the Chakraview Society,
keeping in mind the need for “Elevating Communication Skills during the Lockdown - Professional and
Personal.” Ms. Sangeeta Magan, HOD, NDIM was the resource person who spoke about the new
strategies that we can employ to enrich our communication skills.

Teachers Day

5th September 2020, Teachers’ Day brought the chance to formally revere the teachers through a Video
message: “To Teachers with Love” prepared by the students and was sent to the educators via WhatsApp
and other social media platforms. Tribute was also paid to Late Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Former President
of India, Teacher and Leader.

Virasat: Performance by Vidushi Shovana Narayan

12 September 2020

Virasat of SPIC MACAY - MAC Chapter was organised where the eminent personality – Vidushi Shovana
Narayan enticed the audience with her performance and talked about kala of Kathak. The event also paid
a tribute to all teachers.

National Webinar cum Workshop: “New Formats of Video Production” by Mr Yogeshwar Singh

A National level Webinar cum Workshop was successfully organised on 19th September, 2020 by Qissa
Society where Mr. Yogeshwar Singh introduced the emerging “New Formats of Video Production.” This
was followed by the productive participation in script writing competition.

Online Singing Competition: Alankar

Alankar an Online Singing Competition was organised on 25 September 2020 by Septune Society where
audio clips were submitted as entries and judged online. The event’s success was reflected not only
through the participants’ enthusiasm but also through the massive encouragement brought by the
audience.

Gandhi Jayanti

2 October 2020

On the day of Gandhi Jayanti, 2nd October 2020, an online essay writing competition on topic
“Relevance of Gandhi amongst the Youth in North East” was launched bringing in entries from across
India highlighting the youth’s perspectives on the subject of Gandhian ideals and philosophy and how
they play out their importance amongst the North Earth Youth. The competition was organised by the
North East Society. The judges for the competition were Dr Anupama Jaidev, Dept of English, Maharaja
Agrasen College and Dr S.K Rinten, Dept of Journalism.

Webinar on “The Rise of Domestic Violence under the Shadow of COVID 19” by Mr Udit Malik

With the woke sense to spread awareness about “The Rise of Domestic Violence under the Shadow of
COVID 19,” a Webinar was conducted on 5th October, 2020 by Chakraview Society. Mr. Udit Malik
sensitised the participants of the online webinar on a very significant and current topic in need of action
and awareness.

“Let’s Be Diplomatic”: The Indian Politics Quiz

Let’s Be Diplomatic, a quiz on the Indian Politics was conducted on 16 and 17 October 2020 by
Inquizitive Society. Through the participation enthusiasm it was evident that it was a successful
Inter-college Online Quiz Competition that prompted the participants to dig deeper into the history, GK,
geography and more of the subcontinent’s politics.

Webinar on Digital Marketing by Mr Rajendra Rawat

On 18th October 2020 owing to the rise of Digital Marketing in social media spheres, an Inter-college
online webinar was coordinated by Mr. Rajendra Rawat on the topic of “Digital Marketing.” The
strategies, precautions and utilities of Digital Marketing in new spheres of social media were also
touched upon in the Inter-college online webinar.

Maharaja Agrasen Memorial Debate Competition

Maharaja Agrasen Memorial Debate Competition marked its online debut on 25 October 2020 by
Chakraview Society. Previously organised in the physical mode, with much appreciation for reflecting
contemporary needs, like its debate topics does, it was for the first time organised successfully in the
online mode.

Snap It: Film Editing Webinar by Mr Gaurav Gopal Jha

On 4th November, 2020 for the very first time in the University of Delhi circuit, editor of famous OTT
platform shows like Kota Factory, Yeh Meri Family and many more, Mr. Gaurav Gopal Jha, was invited to
give a webinar on the craft. The webinar was titled Snap It: Film Editing Webinar.

Online Film Screening and Discussion Forum

8 November 2020

(Qissa and Spic Macay)

On 8th November, 2020, the Bengali film “Sonar Kella” by Satyajit Ray was screened on Zoom platform to
commemorate the birth anniversary of the Honorary Academy Award winner film maker. After the
screening, the participants engaged in a discussion forum surrounding the themes of the Film and about
Satyajit Ray. This was part of the Online Film Screening and Discussion forum Event oranised by Qissa
Society in collaboration with SPIC MACAY.

Diwali Mela Competition

Virtual Diwali Mela was organised on 11 November 2020 by Srijan Society. To encourage the Indian Fine
Arts and boost the festive mood, Rangoli making, Diya decoration and wall hanging making competitions
were also organised in the Diwali Mela.

Street Theatre Workshop by Mr Siddhant Sharma

On 24th November 2020, the one of its kind Inter College online workshop on street theatre was
conducted by Abhinay Society. Mr. Siddhant Sharma, founder of Khanabadosh was the resource person
who brought to light the nuances, techniques and characteristics of the art. He also showed some ways
to improve skills needed in Street Theatre.

Prarambh 21

23 January 2021

Prarambh 21, held on 23 January 2021 was the Online Freshers Welcome programme. Chief Guest for
the programme, Prof Balaram Pani, Dean of Colleges, University of Delhi gave golden words of
encouragement to the new enrolled students. The excitement heightened with Miss/Mr Fresher healthy
competition. With that, cultural presentations were done by all societies of the college.

Republic Day

Republic Day, 26 January 2021 programme was done in a blended mode. Flag was hoisted in college
grounds followed by a short cultural programme. Results of the India Quiz (an Inter-college Online Quiz
via Google Docs, conducted to celebrate Republic Day on 25th January 2021) were also declared. Mr
Saurabh Mishra, Treasurer, Governing Body, was the Chief Guest for the day.

Tarkshakti: Inter college Hindi Turn-Coat Competition

On 30th January 2021 the first ever Online Hindi Turn-Coat competition titled Tarkshakti was organised
by Chakraview. It was a challenging and healthy competitive competition. The competition was judged
by Dr Saumya Shukla, Dept of Economics and Dr Farha Khan, Dept of History.

Mark-Ombat

Online India Level Marketing Competition, Mark-Ombat was held from 28 to 29 January 2021. The new,
innovative and creative strategies and techniques employed by the participants were much appreciated.
The event was organised BY Markos Society.

Online theatre workshop

14 February 2021

Meraki - Online theatre workshop for all the theatre society groups was organised on 14th February
2021, where Mr. Yash Lakhyar, the resource person revamped the ideas, techniques and characteristics
of the art. He also showed some ways to improve the skill set associated with the art of Theatre.

SPIC MACAY: VIRASAT 21

SPIC MACAY: VIRASAT 21, a week-long series was conducted online from 16 February 2021 to 28
February 2021. It had artists: Dr. Kapila Venu, Koodiyanttam performer, Ms. Puja Jha, Madhubani artist,
Mr. Argha Kamal Ganguly, Curator, NGMA, Mr. Anwar Khan Langa, Rajasthani folk singer, Ms. Gitanjali
Lal, Kathak dancer and Ustad Baha'uddin Dagar, Hindustani vocalist.

19 to 21 Febuary, 2021

Maharaja Quiz, an Online India Level Quiz Competition was organised from 19 to 21 February 2021. The
quiz competition was organised by Inquizitive Society.

Dhamak: Instrumental Music Competition

25 March to 31 March, 2021

(Septune)

Dhamak: Instrumental Music Competition was organised from 25 March to 31 March, 2021. This was the
first ever Online Instrumental Music Competition by Septune Society. The results of the competition
were announced on 31 March 2021.

Udhghoshna, the curtain raiser to Yuvaan 2021 was organised on 31 March 2021.

Yuvaan

Yuvaan 2021 was celebrated with full zest from 7th to 9th April where all the societies under ECA came
to contribute through various programs, events, competitions and talks. Various events were organised
were: Aamad, Avishkar, Spectre, G-Sharp and many more. The Chief Guest for the Inaugural Programme
was Dr Sachidananda Joshi, Member Secretary, IGNCA.

Farewell 2021 (Au Revior)

On July 8, 2021, the ECA Committee organized an online Farewell programme for the outgoing batch.
The progarmme included a cultural presentation by the ECA Societies and the Mr and Ms MAC contest.

Independence Day

Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the 75th Independence Day 2021 was celebrated on college grounds graced by
the presence of Mr. Saurabh Mishra, Treasurer, Governing Body and Prof. Sanjeev K Tiwari, Principal.
The Flag Hoisting ceremony was accompanied by NCC Drills and Musical Presentation. On the theme of
unity amongst the North, South, East, and West India, Natraj Society picked some major dance forms and
concluded the video with a patriotic ending to depict the unity with diversity parameter.

Unlocking Potentials

Webinar titled “Unlocking Potentials” explaining about how to recognize ones marketing potentials was
held on 11 August, 2021 by Markos Society. The guest speaker was Sri Ram Kumar Chandrasekharan,
who is a TEDx speaker, consultant, coach, trainer, facilitator and director at TLRNOW.

MARK-O-WEEK

The Markos Society organized a series of webinars between 13 and 19 September, 2021. The list of
speakers included Ms Pallavi Madhukar, Marketing Expert, Ms Pankhuri Gupta, Image Consultant and
Life Transformation Coach, Mr Nimila Jayawardana, Digital Marketing Mentor, SLIT, Mr Soham Wagh,
Senior Marketing Manager, Gloxo Smithkline, Ms Sultana Khan, Chief Marketing Consultant, Starbocks
International, Mr Ajeet Yadav, Technical SEO Consultant, Mr Monik Patel, Stock Market Expert, SEBI
Registered Brocker.
