When you learn auxiliary verbs, you would have also come across modal verbs. They also perform the same functions as a
helping verb, the only difference is that they are used to show the probability/possibility of something happening. Try out the
following exercises and check how good you are with auxiliary verbs.
Exercise 1 - Read the following sentences and fill in the blanks with ‘has’ or had.’
Exercise 2 - Read the following sentences and fill in the blanks with ‘am’, ‘is’, or ‘are’.
Read the following sentences and select the correct form of the verb given in brackets.
Exercise 4 – Use helping verbs. Fill in the blanks with the correct form of helping verbs (is/am/are).
