What is our Pastor?

Jer 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and
understanding.
Pastor is given according to God’s heart. There is God’s calling, choosing, and command.
Why God has given us pastors? Pastor’s responsibilities

1. To edify us meaning to instruct, to build or to establish
Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors
and teachers;
Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of
Christ:
2. To pray for our spiritual growth

Col 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that
ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and
increasing in the knowledge of God;
3. To present us as a chaste or pure virgin to Christ

2Co 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I
may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
1Th 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and
body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
As members of the Church, what is now our responsibilities to the man of God?
1. Regard or Respect him
1Th 5:12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in
the Lord, and admonish you;
1Th 5:13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among
yourselves.

2. Reward Him
1Ti 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in

Every time we share our blessings to our pastor, God is going to supply our needs.
Sa aming mga workers, challenging ang giving. Why? Kase gusto din namin magbigay ng malaki sa
Panginoon, pero kung ano yung provision ng Panginoon yun ang binibigay namin.
3. Remember Him
Heb 13:7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God:
whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

c. Let us follow his faith considering his life
Kung may isang tao na nakakitaan ko ng pananampalataya sa Panginoon isa si Pastor Dan?
Kung may isang tao na nakakitaan ko ng pag-ibig sa gawain ng Dios? Si pastor yun
Kung may isang tao na hinahangaan ko sa biyaya ng Dios sa paglilingkod? Si pastor yun
Conclusion
Pinagpala tayo ng Dios ng pastor na talagang may totoong pagmamahal sa Dios, sa ministry at sa mga
members. Our pastor is not perfect. Pero isang bagay na di natin maitatanggi sa mga buhay natin na
nakita nating lahat ang pagkilos ng Dios, na totoo ang salita ng Dios, na may kabuluhan ang paglilingkod
sa Dios dahil may pastor tayo na nagpatuloy na nangaral ng Salita ng Dios. Di natin maitatanggi na may
pastor tayo na tunay ang hangarin at pagmamahal sa atin.
