V. RATIONALE
Pursuant to DepEd Order No.22, s 2023, (Implementing Guidelines on the School
Calendar and Activities for the SY 2023-2024), the Hayanggabon Elementary School will
conduct Five-day Midyear Performance Review and Evaluation and School-
Based In-service Training (INSET) of Teachers for SY 2023-2024 on January 24-26
and January 29-30, 2024

This Five-day Midyear Performance Review and School- Based Midyear Inset 2024
will provide an opportunity for teachers to sit together, review on some specific instructional
concerns and discuss on topics that can solve everyday problems in the classroom. This will
also serve to support the teachers for some innovative practices that would enhance their skills
and competencies. Teachers will be equipped with the necessary teaching strategies and
techniques in developing the children literacy and numeracy skills and attitude.

VI. OBJECTIVES
This training generally aims:

● To evaluate the school progress in the implementation of the educational programs,


projects and activities;
● To review the performance of teachers and the school staff to address concerns through
cooperative effort;
● To enable teachers to support each other to continuously improve their content and
pedagogical knowledge, practice skills and attitudes and;
● Foster a professional collaborative spirit among school heads, teachers and community as
a whole.

VII. PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND MECHANICS

Hayanggabon Elementary School will spend the 1 st 2 days in evaluating the schools
progress in the implementation of the educational programs, projects and activities and
reviewing the performance of teachers and the school staff to address concerns through
cooperative effort. The last three days shall be devoted to the conduct of the School-Based
INSET activities for teachers continued professional development and the preparation of
their instructional materials.
Training shall conduct through lecture, oral presentation shall be undertaken in order
to present information, updates and knowledge about a particular topic. A discussion shall
be instituted; such will cater an interactive, spontaneous communication between the
lecturers and the participants. Lastly, an open forum shall be encouraged so that the lecturers
and the participants can openly exchange ideas and information about specific issues in
order to reach an agreement.

VIII. BUDGET
Training expenses and financial requirements of the training will be the following:

The expected outputs of the training are the following:
1. Evaluated school progress in the implementation of the educational programs,
projects and activities.
2. Reviewed performance of teachers and the school staff to address concerns through
cooperative effort.
3. Teachers supported each other to continuously improve their content and pedagogical
knowledge, practice skills and attitudes and;
4. Fostered a professional collaborative spirit among school heads, teachers and
community as a whole.

XII. MONITORING AND EVALUATION


The School Head and the chairman of Planning committee will ensure that the roles
and responsibilities, monitoring and evaluation of the activity and other guidelines shall be
observed by all concerned.
