We are going to discuss the Elements of Music

Let us begin.

One element of music is tempo. What do we mean by the


word tempo?

Kindly read, Kimberly. It is the rate of speed of a musical piece or passage


indicated by one of a series of directions and often by
an exact metronome marking
What are the common tempo markings?

Kindly read ,class. Allegro- fast and bright (120-168 bpm)


Moderato- moderately fast ( 108-120 bpm)
Adagio- slow ( with expression) ( 66-76 bpm)
Tempo is how fast or slow a piece of music is performed.

What are the main types of musical forms?

Kindly read, allison. Primary- consist of single musical phrase or section

Binary- it consists of two different musical phrases or


sections that are usually repeated

Ternary- It consists of three phrases or sections in


which the third one is usually the repetition of the first

Forte- loud
Dynamics in music refers to how loud or soft is the music Fortissimo- very loud
