song and go infront to perform what you chosen song.

1. Form- is the general shape of musical working, it's


also refers to the basic structure of a musical
composition,

2. Phrase- just like in grammar and language, music also


has phrase .

A. Antecedent- this is a phrase that is left hanging or


unresolved, like a question.

B. Consequent- this is phrase that usually follows a


antecedent phrase which complete and resolves it.

A. Introduction- this is a passage in the beginning of a


musical work, an opening section.

B. Coda literally means the "tailpiece" this is a section
that gives closure to a musical work even if it's material
is sometimes unrelated to the themes or phrase used in
the piece.

3. Structure of musical forms

A. Binary- this is a piece of music which has two


sections which are related and complement each other.

B. Ternary- also called A-B-A form, this has three
sections, where A is opening section, allowed by a B
section is repeated.
"Twinkle, twinkle, little star" is example of this form.

C. Rondo- in this form, a primary section or theme


(usually in the tonic key) recurs multiple times,
alternating with secondary section.

D. Strophic- this type of form wherein all the stanzas or


verse of a songs lyrics are sung to the same music

4. Repeat Marks

A. Da capo- it is an italian word that means " form the


beginning" usually abbreviated as D.C.

B. Dal segno- abreviated as D.S, it is italian words


meaning "form the sign." It direct a musician to repeat
a section of music from the sign,

C. Da capo al fine- it is an instruction that means " to


repeat from the beginning to the end.

D. Repeat Marks- these are a sign which says that a


section of music is to be played twice.

E. 1st and 2nd ending- when the music has a different


ending upon repeat, bracket with numbers on top of
measures show which to play during the first time.
