4-2. Cleaning, inspection and lubrication of Equipment in shaft

(1) Check whether dust, motor, etc. adhere around the traction machine.
Especially check the movable part (sheave, encoder, brake, etc.)

(2) Check the installation of the traction machine.

For NEXIEZ(in case the Traction Machine is PM3P7SR,PM6P5SR,PM011SR,PM016SR), be sure remove the protective surface film *
before test run.(See Brake Construction Manual C-4-A63.4) If the film is not completely removed, the brake malfunction may occur
and causes CRITICAL trouble.

(3) Ensure that the control panel is properly installed and wired (External wiring, Connection of Connectors) and its components
(PCB , relays, circuit protectors, etc.) are good condition. And cleaning it if there is much dust.
When checking, MCB is necessary shut down, shall be worked to check that no voltage is applied to between C(+) and C(-).

(4) Clean the pit.

(5) Clean tops of the beams, the rail bracket, header cover, etc. in the shaft.

(6) Ensure that the buffer is properly installed and the all devices are fixed with bolts and nuts.

(7) Ensure that the shaft does not have holes or opening through which external object may enter and there are no obstructions to
interfere the car travelling.

(8) Clean the rail and remove the burr at joints. Use oil solvent for cleaning. Never use petrol.

(2) Measure the value of insulation resistance between the earth and the secondary terminals of all
the circuit breakers except "GBP" in the control panel and the motor line terminals U, V, and W using
a low voltage (below 15V) insulation tester. 400

In case of a multi car system, the "GBP" circuit breaker can be found in each of the control panels,
the secondary terminals of the "GBP" circuit breaker are connected to the auxiliary panel.

(3) After performing the above-mentioned low voltage insulation test, measure the value of insulation resistance between the earth and
all the above-mentioned terminals using a high voltage (500V) insulation tester.

(4) After the insulation test, confirming the voltage between the earth and the terminal of "400" on KCA-94X is below 10V, connect the
connectors "RPJ", "RPW" before reconnecting the connectors which were removed for the insulation test.

4-6-3. Check for light emitting diodes on PCB
1) Check for open phase indicator
Ensure that the LED for open phase (PWFH) on P1-Card lights up when power is supplied.
“Note1”: For locations of the LED's mentioned in 1),2) and 3) on PCB,see Section 4-5-5.
“Note2”: Without CP3, note that unless CST turns on, PWFH does not light up.
It warns against short-circuiting C10 and C20, in turning on a switch, when having not attached Car station.
“Note3”: With CP3, note that unless CP3 turns on, PWFH does not light up.

2) Check of WDT (watch dog timer)

Make sure that the LEDs, CWDT and MWDT on P1-Card , and WDT on C1-Card(if exists) light up when power are supplied.
“Note”: WDT checks if CPU correctly executes the programmed operations.
If WDT activates (turn off the above LEDs), it means CPU is out of order. If the LED lights off even only once, make a thorough
check on CPU. In this case, check for the power supply of 5V and poorly connected terminals.

3) Check for charging condition indicator LED

Ensure that the charging condition indicator LED (DCV) on E1-Card and capacitor board of Regeneration Converter unit lights
up when power is supplied and lights off when shutting off it. It takes time to turn off LED of DCV from the elevator to VFDLA.
(For about 10 seconds)
“Note1”: If the LED (DCV) does not to light up when applying power, it is considered to be due to shorted inverter, open or damaged
charging circuit, closed or damaged regenerating circuit, failed LED, etc. Check them to locate the cause. Checking shall be
done after measuring DC voltage (voltage at the electrolytic capacitor terminal) with digital voltmeter to ensure that no voltage
is applied to it.
“Note2”: If the LED (DCV) does not to light down when power shut-off it is considered to be due to failed E1 Card (KCR-943X,
KCR-946X).
(It is not a failure though some shines because it does not finish completely discharging electricity.)
