Annual 2017 Revision Cycle

Notice of a Consent Standard

NFPA 424

The Committee on Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting produced a First Revision
Report for NFPA 424, Guide for Airport/Community Emergency Planning, and
sought Public Comments. No Public Comments were received on this Standard
and the Committee determined, through a letter ballot, that a meeting should be
held to consider the development of Second Revisions. The meeting was held and
there were no Second Revisions. Therefore, the proposed NFPA Standard, as
revised in the First Draft Report, shall be considered a consent document.
According to 4.4.8.4 of the Regulations Governing the Development of NFPA
Standards, NFPA 424 will be forwarded directly to the Standards Council for
action in accordance with Section 4.7.

NOTE: In accordance with 1.6.2(a) of the Regs, there is a

fifteen day appeal period following the publication date of
this report in which one may file an appeal related to the
issuance of any Consent Document listed in this report. The
final date to file any such appeal is November 1, 2016.
