The Committee on Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting produced a First Revision
Report for NFPA 424, Guide for Airport/Community Emergency Planning, and
sought Public Comments. No Public Comments were received on this Standard
and the Committee determined, through a letter ballot, that a meeting should be
held to consider the development of Second Revisions. The meeting was held and
there were no Second Revisions. Therefore, the proposed NFPA Standard, as
revised in the First Draft Report, shall be considered a consent document.
According to 4.4.8.4 of the Regulations Governing the Development of NFPA
Standards, NFPA 424 will be forwarded directly to the Standards Council for
action in accordance with Section 4.7.
MEMORANDUM
The Technical Committee on Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting produced a First Draft Report for
the Annual 2017 edition of NFPA 424, and sought Public Comments. No Public Comments were
submitted on this First Draft Report. The Technical Committee held a Second Draft meeting on
September 27 - 28, 2016 but did not create any Second Revisions.
According to the Regulations Governing the Development of NFPA Standards, NFPA 424 will
be considered a NFPA Consent Document and will be forwarded to the Standards Council for
further processing.
The NFPA appreciates the Technical Committee’s time and effort in revising NFPA 424 for the
2018 edition.
