On behalf of our client, we are recruiting to fill the position of the HEAD, HR & ADMIN.
Job Objective
To provide leadership and effectiveness in the management of the Company’s Human Resources and facilities while
coordinating the implementation of Human Capital services, policies, and programs through the organisation’s
resources. The incumbent originates and leads HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented
and high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment,
and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. He/she will play a key organisational role by
supporting office management and providing administrative coordination to ensure that all company’s operations
run efficiently. The incumbent supervises the availability of required office supplies to achieve efficiency and
effectiveness.
Reporting Relationship
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Human Resources and Administration initiatives in line with organisational
objectives. The incumbent is accountable for the performance of the HR & Admin. function while providing
strategic counsel on all people matters including, people development, succession planning, talent
management and talent acquisition.
• Oversee the implementation of Human Resources programs through Human Resources staff; Identifies
opportunities for improvement and resolves any discrepancies.
• Develop and monitors annual Human Resources budget to ensure optimal implementation of the Human
Resources initiatives and plans.
• Conduct a continuing study and assessment of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to
keep management informed of new developments.
• Lead the development of departmental goals and measurements that supports the accomplishment of
the company's strategic goals.
• Develop strategic workforce planning process to support the business needs. Designs and ensures the
delivery of appropriate and relevant personal development training plans for staff.
• Develop coaching, mentoring and supports staff personal development.
• Lead skills and capability development of staff in order to maximize the diverse talents of the Organization.
• Assess the training needs of the employee, ensure training plan meets required budgetary approval and,
ensure implementation in order to build the required capabilities.
• Drive a learning organisation and boost the professional development of the organization’s workforce.
• Establish and lead the required standards, practices and processes for recruiting superior workforce.
• Responsible for coordinating the team’s travel, work with management to update corporate travel policies,
develop and monitor budgets, negotiate rates with airlines and hotel chains.
• Provide leadership to employees involved in all aspects of the administrative function.
• Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material with attention to budgetary
constraints.
• Drive and promotes a work environment that ensures employee engagement and retention.
• Formulates and recommends Human Resources policies and objectives for the company with regard to
employee relations.
• Partner with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and relevant
labour & employment laws.
• Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-
employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
• Documents and ensure strict implementation of standard operating procedure (SOP) at the departmental
and corporate level.
• Manage all grievances and disciplinary related issues across the organisation to ensure proper resolution in
line with the organisation’s policies and labour laws.
• Design the strategy and oversee the performance management process across the organisation in order to
ensure the institutionalisation of a high-performance culture in the organisation.
• Establish the company wage and salary structure, pay policies, benefits and oversee the implementation.
• Lead competitive market research to establish pay practices and pay bands that help to recruit and retain
superior workforce.
• Direct a process of organizational planning that evaluates company structure, job design, and personnel
forecasting throughout the company.
• Identify and monitor the organization's culture so that it supports the attainment of the company's goals
and promotes employee satisfaction.
Requirements
Experience • Minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in Human Resources &
Administration function with at least two (2) years of managerial
experience.
Educational • Minimum of Bachelor’s /HND in Human Resources Management, Social
Science, Business Administration and any relevant degree.
• MBA or related Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
Professional Qualifications • Relevant professional certifications e.g. Chartered Institute of Personnel
Management (CIPM), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) or
international equivalents is an added advantage
