    Subject: New Compass Repeater Generation released

    Description: Please note that existing serial Repeater generation will soon
    be finished in Production.
    They will be replaced by our new serial Repeaters.

    Old repeater with the following Stock numbers will be soon not
    available anymore:
    Console Repeater 74485, 74486, 74552
    Bulkhead Repeater 74490, 74632
    Bearing Repeater 74487, 74782

    New Repeater with the following Stock numbers will replace the
    existing ones:
    Console Repeater 74881, 74882
    Bulkhead Repeater 74883
    Bearing Repeater 74880

    Required Action: Repeaters will have the same dimension and will fit into the same
    Console Frames and also into the same Bearing Repeater
    Gimbals system.
    Bearing Repeaters and Bulkhead Repeater will require also to
    exchange the existing Connection Box 74492 against the new
    Connection Box 74859(same Box dimension as old). That is
    necessary because of the implementation of an USB connector.
    All new Repeater settings could be changed or analyzed and
    Software could be updated by using our SUSI Software tool
    Version 1.024.
    An example drawing for conversion you find on page 2 of this
    Bulletin. For Sales there is also a Marketing Bulletin MIB No.119
    released.

    New Features: - Integrated heading source displays : MAG, GYRO, THD


    - Built-in dimmer function. No dimmer separate in Box anymore
    - Fast rate-of-turn displays 30°/sec
    - Automatic synchronization with master compass
    - White compass card illumination
    - Automatic Baud rate setting to master compass
    - Automatic recognition of NMEA interface

    - Last heading stored before power failure, making re-


    synchronization unnecessary
    - Compatible with previous repeater generation
    - Compatible with all NMEA heading messages:
    HDT, THS, HDG, and HDM
    - Same prismatic azimuth device PV 23 and telescopic alidade as
    for old bearing repeater.
