I HAVE POST, MY SCHOOL, MY RESPONSIBILITY

Introduction

Benigno S. Aquino National High School (BSANHS) is a shining example of

both academic achievement and community improvement for this city in Tarlac.
Our school stands in the middle of Central Luzon and is named after the
homeland’s most respected hero, Senator Benigno "Ninoy" S. Aquino Jr. The
selfless commitment to the people and his public service underlies the deep
mission and ethos of the institution. Being an educational institution, our
BSANHS has pledged to create a learning environment that is comprehensive,
inclusive, and progressive and which is customized to the needs of the diverse
student community. BSANHS was built with the goal to help the youth of
Concepcion and neighboring areas in their current education. The school was
established based on the main ideas of academic rigor, the development of the
whole person as well as social responsibility. Through the years, it has
transformed into one of the essential places of learning, significantly
supplementing the education and the personal growth of its students. BSANHS's
physical campus will be the proof of its dedication to a great learning
environment for it is where its students will be taught. Having up to date
equipment, the school is modernized, the classrooms, science laboratories,
computer rooms, a library, and sports facilities are all well maintained. These
listings are intentionally made so that they can cater to a variety of subjects
which will be equally practical in academics and extracurricular activities.

Benigno S. Aquino National High School was established in 1948. It was

originally named Concepcion High School. By an act of congress in 1957,
Concepcion High School was renamed Benigno S. Aquino Memorial High School.
With the promulgation and implementation of the provision of Republic Act 6655,
otherwise known as "The free secondary education act of 1989". Benigno S.
Memorial High School became National High School. With this law the school was
renamed Benigno S. Aquino National High School for the second time. The school
was established to serve the educational needs of the Concepcion community.
This school started as a small one but now it has been expanded to fit more
students as the years go by. The goal of the school is to educate young people
with the knowledge and ability necessary for living a successful life.

2
The name of the school reminds every one of the values Ninoy Aquino
stood for: bravery, fairness, and devotion to the motherland.

Benigno S. Aquino National High School, through different academic

tracks, offers a wide range of programs. Following the K-12 curriculum, from
junior high school (grades 7-10) to senior high school (grades 11-12), is the
designated educational program of the school.

In the eight junior high school, the students study the basic subjects
which is composed of Math, Science, Filipino, English, Social Studies, Technical
and Vocational Education (TVE). This is because in these disciplines you acquire
knowledge that forms the basis for more advanced studies.

Senior high school empowers students by providing them with freedom of

choice to decide on their career path and select a track that meets their goals
and interests with different tracks available. The courses offered include
Academics, TVL, Sports and Arts and design. The design of every one of the
tracks gives the student the capability to judge the college, vocational training or
if she or he wants to by right become employed at this point what type of
education that he or she is best equipped with.

For instance, STSTEM, which covers Science, Technology, Engineering,

and Mathematics, is part of the Academic track, and so does ABMB, which stands
for Accountancy, Business, and Management, and HUMS, which is short for
Humanities and Social Sciences. TVL track work rather on ways of life, which will
shape you to be a good citizen in the community as you practice them in various
fields, among them electronics, agriculture, and home economics. They also
accept people with disabilities who want to study and finish their high school
lives. Their disability is not an obstacle to not being able to study, so Benigno S.
Aquino National High School accepts those with disabilities because we know
that they have a future and dreams for their families, especially themselves.

The learning of students will be supported through various facilities

available at the school. There are many buildings and rooms in Benigno S.
Aquino National High School that you can definitely study well in because they
are not lacking in subjects, and also because the teachers make sure that they
can teach when needed. Many plants and trees have been planted in BSANHS to
make the school look neat and clean, especially so that the students can breathe
fresh air. It has a classroom, science laboratory, a computer room, a library, and
a school gymnasium.

3
The science laboratories are for the students to perform experiments and
learn through practical experiences. The computer room ensures that students
get exposure to digital resources and gives them an opportunity to polish their IT
skills. The library provides a conducive environment for reading and studying,
providing a collection of books and reference materials. The school gymnasium
accommodates PE classes and sports activities. In addition to this, the cafeteria
is used as an event and program venue too. The availability of such facilities
helps in the construction of a learning conducive environment for the students.

The school has a wide range of extracurricular activities that give students
an opportunity to excel in areas other than their academics. BSANHS has
everything from sports teams, cultural associations and academic societies to
leadership organizations where students can sharpen their skills, gain confidence
and create an enduring bond with their mates. In this context, student
participation in these activities enhances their school experience but also plays a
significant role in their general growth.

Benigno S. Aquino National High School encourages students to engage in

extracurricular activities. This way, they can explore their hidden abilities outside
the classroom.

Our school provides different clubs and associations such as the Science
Club, Math Club, English Club, and Sports Teams. These clubs support students
in their hobbies and allow them to hone their talents. The school, further, is
actively engaged in inter-school contests in academics, sports, and the arts.
Students have won awards from science fairs to math contests, literary
competitions, and sports tournaments. Such victories highlight the school's
excellence and stir students to success.

The school believes that volunteering and community service are crucial.
It carries out the goal of organizing programs and activity projects that work for
the community's benefit. Learners and educators will be planting trees together,
joining clean-up drives and health campaigns. Through these activities, students
are taught the priceless qualities of helping others and taking care of the
environment. The institution also engages with the local government agencies,
NGOs, as well as the other institutions to provide the necessary support to its
programs. With these collaborations the academic background of students is
improved, and school receives additional aid.

4
Through the years, Benigno S. Aquino National High School has been
known as one of the best in the field of academics and community service.
School has produced top-grade students who have become leaders in different
areas. A number of them have become top professionals and have contributed to
diverse sectors of society. The school's feats underscore its dedication to
imparting quality education and forging the future youth.

Problems

What are the main issues happening at school? In Benigno S Aquino

National Highschool, school problem areas refer to the needs of students or the
setbacks that manifest itself in the surrounding situations or at school, as the
problems, it can escalate to unhygienic living, lesser self-esteem and engaging in
inappropriate or risky activities that eventually leads to trouble.

Here are the following examples of a set of problems.

-Trouble with understanding the course material or lacking the ability to complete
the assignments by deadline.

-Fighting at school

6
-Sleeping in class

-Difficulty taking tests

-littering

-lack of discipline

-Learning Disabilities (LD)

-lack of hygiene

The gravity of the school determines the approach to be taken to restore the lost
hope and subsequently, being able to follow a path of success. Of course, if this
could not solve the problem sometimes in the poor handling of their
responsibilities to the school here at Benigno S Aquino National Highschool
around, even the teacher that always reprimand them to maintain their
surrounding the learners will not think of being a good citizen of the school.

Observation

Based on the problem in general, the observance that we may notice in

schools is how the learners adapt to the school environment and in general the
learner tends to disobey the rules or set aside the pleads of the teachers. Based
on our observation of the BSANHS method, there are many rooms without
windows, doorknob tables and lights.

There are also many classrooms that do not have electric fans. Also
outside there are many students who throw garbage in any corner of the school.
There are many students who have no respect for their teachers and for their
principal. I observed in our school campus is the cleanliness, they created
programs like recycling paper and water bottles.

The teachers here are responsible, they can handle the student even if
they are messy, and I can say that the students have sense of belongingness,
yes, the restroom is dirty, but the student are making a way to keep it clean. The
school is happy because it’s always having an event, they are always making a
way to keep the school happy. The student knows how to get along and
communicate with others.

7
Solutions

Based on what they observed in BSANHS, many classrooms do not have

windows, doorknobs, or electric fans. The solution to this is, encourage parents
or teachers to donate classroom equipment, so that they have a window and an
electric fan in their classroom, especially now that the weather is getting hotter,
children need enough air. And if the parents or teachers lack budget, the
students can also help like they saved in their class funds. Trash also mentioned
in their observation at school that trash is thrown everywhere, what should be
done here is, that they'll go 1 by 1 on classroom and teach the proper way to
dispose of trash and when they see someone throwing in a non-trash bin, they
can complain to the guidance office. They also observed that there are students
who have no respect for their teacher and for the principal, what should be done
here is, report to the guidance counselor so that they can talk to him, he can
also be given a 1-week suspension because of what he did.

To maintain cleanliness throughout the school we must have rules for cleaning
such as cleaning the bathroom, classroom and so on. We also need to collect
recycled materials/garbage to reduce environmental waste and keep the school
clean and tidy. We need to add garbage cans to each classroom so that they can
separate the perishables and non-perishables, so that we can take care of the
health of each student and not cause illness, clean, and disinfect the things that
the students will touch such as desks, chairs, and doorknobs.

Trends

Culminating activities, field trips, student fairs, and intramurals all

contribute to a well-rounded educational experience, benefiting students in
several ways: Culminating activities, field trips, student fairs, and intramurals all
contribute to a well-rounded educational experience, benefiting students in
several ways:

1. Culminating Activities: These are many times end up as competitions or

performance to show the results of efforts and hard work. They help students
by:

- In practical activities, students are invited to combine knowledge with practice

(application).

- Funding programs that focus on teamwork and joint effort.

8
- That allows you to have clarity of ideas and interaction with the medium.

- Consequently, creating a close connection and a feeling of satisfaction during

the close of the unit of study.

2. Field Trips: The trips provide an additional learning experience compared to

the ones the classroom otherwise does. They benefit students by:

- Totally experiencing the world to be more practical.

- Bringing learning more interesting and lasting.

- One effective approach is exposing individuals to a variety of outside

surroundings and cultural practices.

- Furthermore, it is a factor that supports the likes of curiosity and the passion
for education.

3. Student Fairs: Such occasions host student work and could even consist of
science fairs or art galleries. They help students by:

- Sustaining a platform that permits them to showcase their talent and invested
effort.

- Developing public perception through a public presentation.

- Giving peers the chance to meet and share their own ideas and encouraging
others to do the same.

- Big signatures happen to go right beyond the charity sports page. It is as if the
rich history and identity of those the people of this community have and still
share are suddenly realized and enhanced.

4. Intramurals: Fitness, teamwork skills, and social interaction are encouraged by

intramural sports and activities as they occur in a campus setting. They benefit
students by:

- Incorporating physical health and fitness process.

- Training vital lifestyle skills such as teamwork, leadership, and determination

will be considered.

- Offer a sealed way for feelings and energy to flow.

- Transporting students to new heights of learning and installing a feeling of

encompassment.

9
In general, the prescribed activities aim to incorporate a comprehensively
prepared approach to education which emphasizes both academic and personal
growth. They stimulate, grow and i development of a robust and friendly learning
environment that can benefit students with the academic and non-academic
aspects in their lives after school.
