    “RE-ORGANIZING FURTHER THE BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (BDC) OF BARANGAY


    PIKALAWAG , SULTAN NAGA DIMAPORO, LANAO DEL NORTE”
    WHEREAS, SECTION 106-109 of the Local Government Code of 1991 mandate the creation of the Local Development
    Councils in all levels of government of the Local Government Units (LGUs);
    WHEREAS, THE Local Development Council is the planning body that will act as the coordinating body and set the
    economic, political and social development of the barangay. It shall formulate a development plan that will reflect the
    goal and aspirations of the entire community that can make the delivery of basic socio economic services possible.
    NOW THEREFORE, I, MARDY P. MUNDI, Punong Barangay of Barangay Pikalawag, Sultan Naga Dimaporo,
    Lanao del Norte by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby order the organization of the Barangay
    Development Council (BDC) of Barangay Pikalawag Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Lanao del Norte.

    Section 1. Composition. The Barangay Development Council shall be composed of the following:
    Chairperson : Punong Barangay MARDY P. MUNDI
    Members: Kagawad HANIDA PANDA
    Kagawad UMBRA C. BAZER
    Kagawad GATCHALIAN ABAS
    Kagawad SITTIE TAMPOGAO
    Kagawad WILFREDO PISON
    Kagawad ORLANDO ZUELO
    Kagawad NILA F. MAGPULONG
    SK CHAIRMAN MOH. ARAFAT COTONGAN
    Representative of the Congressman ORLANDO ZUELO
    CSO Representative MERLINA CALUNSAG
    FLORDELIZA ROMAGOS

    Section 2. Duties and Functions. The Barangay Development Council shall exercise the following duties and functions:

    1. Mobilize peoples participation in local development efforts


    2. Prepare barangay development plans based on the local requirements
    3. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of national or local programs and projects.
    4. Perform such other functions as may be provided by law or component authority.

    Section 3. BDC Executive Committee.

    Chairperson : Punong Barangay MARDY P. MUNDI

    CSO Representative MERLINA CALUNSAG

    Section 4. Powers and Functions of the Executive Committee

    1. Ensure that the decision of the council are faithfully carried out and implemented
    2. Acts on matters requiring immediate attention or action by the council.
    3. Formulate policies, plan and program based on the general prin ciples laid down by the council; and
    4. Act on other matters that they may authorized by the council.

    Section 5. BDC Secretariat

    Head of the BDC Secretariat is the Barangay Secretary top be assisted by the Municipal Planning and Development
    Coordinator.

    Section 6. Functions of the BDC Secretariat.

    1. Provide technical support to the BDC.


    2. Document the Councils proceedings
    3. Prepare council’s report
    4. Provide other assistance as may be required by the council.

    Section 7. Functions of the Sectoral Committes:

    Each Sectoral/Functional Committee shall hold meeting/s every quarter or as maybe determined by the members
    and submit reports to the executive Committee.

    Section 8. Frequency of Meetings:

    BDC meeting- Once in every semester but may be convened anytime as the need arises.

    EXEC Committee- Monthly


    Sectoral Committess- Once in every quarter

    Section 3. Effectivity. This order shall take effect immediately.

    Done this 5th day of March 2018 at Barangay Pikalawag Sultan Naga DImaporo, Lanao del Norte.
