authentication setup will prompt a valid code; you will then be able to get the code from the
OneLogin Protect app.

NB. Please do not delete the app! You will need it each time you access the AWS VPN,
and when you log into your TI OneLogin account.

Installing the AWS VPN Client

AWS VPN access is provided by two portals, East and West, so that there is always a backup
connection in case one of them fails. You need to have both of these portals configured, so
that you can select either one to connect when using the AWS VPN Client App. The below
steps will guide you to first log into the East portal to download the VPN app and the East
portal configuration file, then to log into the West portal to download the configuration file for
it, and then configuring profiles to both of the portals at the same time.

Step 1: Go to the AWS Self-Service Portal - East using the following URL:
https://self-service.clientvpn.amazonaws.com/endpoints/cvpn-endpoint-0fd57e454cdaec629

NB. If you see the error message in the below screenshot, this means that you are using an
OLD link to the AWS Self-Service Portal and you need to get the latest link by opening a
ticket in the SME Support Portal.

14
Step 2: The browser will redirect you to the TELUS International OneLogin Authentication
page. Enter the TELUS International AI Community Platform username and password. The
system may also prompt you to enter a one time code from the OneLogin Protect 1 mobile
app:

Step 3: Once you have been successfully authenticated, the browser will take you to the
AWS Client VPN self-service portal.

Step 4: Download the AWS Client VPN App by clicking the Download button under the
AWS Client VPN for Windows section (or if you are using a different operating system,

15
select the one that suits you from the selection above for OSX or for Linux).

Depending on the browser you are using, this step might look different. For example, If you
are using Google Chrome, after you click on the Download button you should see the AWS
VPN Client installation package being downloaded at the bottom of the window, like in the
below screenshot:

If you are using Edge, the view will look like this:

As you can see from the image above, at the top of the Edge browser view you should see
the name of the file that is being downloaded (AWS_VPN_Client.msi) under a small pop up
window named Downloads.

Step 5: Download the AWS VPN Client configuration file by clicking the Download client
configuration button:

16
This step may differ depending on the browser you are using. For example, if you are using
Google Chrome, after you click on the Download button you should see the AWS VPN
Client installation package being downloaded at the bottom of the window, like in the below
screenshot:

If you are using Edge, the view will be as follows:

17
Step 6: Once you have downloaded both files to your computer, log out of the AWS
Self-Service Portal - East by clicking the Logout button at the top right of the screen:

Step 7: Go to the AWS Self-Service Portal - West using the following URL.
https://self-service.clientvpn.amazonaws.com/endpoints/cvpn-endpoint-01e86f311d6af9e29

Step 8: The browser will redirect you to the TELUS International OneLogin
Authentication page. Enter the TELUS International AI Community Platform username
and password. The system may also prompt you to enter a one-time code from the
OneLogin Protect 1 mobile app:

18
Step 8: Once you have been successfully authenticated, the browser will take you to the
AWS Client VPN Self-Service Portal - West.

Note the Endpoint ID AWS Self-Service Portal - West (in the red square: cvpn-endpoint-01e86f311d6af9e29)
is different from the AWS Self-Service Portal - East Endpoint ID cvpn-endpoint-0fd57e454cdaec629.

Step 9: Download the AWS VPN Client App configuration file to your computer by clicking
the Download client configuration button:

Step 10: Go to the folder where both files were downloaded by opening the File Explorer
(the files are probably located in the Downloads folder, or if you selected a different
destination go there):

19
Double click the installation file named AWS_VPN_Client.msi (file with extension .msi) to
start the Installation of the AWS VPN Client app.

Step 11: A new window will appear with the app license agreement. Tick the checkbox
to accept the terms in the License Agreement and then click Install.

Step 12: A progress bar will appear showing the installation status. Once installation has
finished, a message will appear indicating that the wizard has completed the installation.
Click the button Finish.

Step 13: Open the AWS VPN Client app by using the Start Menu on your computer and

20
locating the AWS VPN Client app or double clicking the shortcut on the desktop.

Step 14: Once the app has loaded, the following popup will appear.

Step 15: Create a connection profile by opening the File menu in the popup, and then
selecting the option Manage Profiles.

21
Step 16: A new window will appear. Click the button Add Profile.

Step 17: A new window will appear - type in TI-VPN-EAST as the Display Name for the
profile and then click on the folder button located next to the VPN Configuration File field.

Step 18: In the new window, look for the VPN Configuration file that was downloaded back
in step 5. The file’s name is cvpn-endpoint-02e10168b27d9262b.ovpn. Select the file and
then click Open.

22
Note that the file might be located at a different location depending on what you selected
when downloading the file in Steps 5 and 8.

Step 19: Click on the Add Profile button.

Step 20: In the Manage Profiles window the profile that was created should be listed as a
Saved Profile. Click the Add Profile button to add the VPN configuration file for the West
Portal.

Step 21: A new window will appear; type TI-VPN-WEST as the display name for the profile
and then click on the folder button located next to the VPN Configuration File field:

23
Step 22: In the new window, look for the VPN Configuration file that was downloaded in step
9. The file’s name is cvpn-endpoint-01e86f311d6af9e29.ovpn. Select the file and then
click Open.

Step 23: Click on the Add Profile button.

Step 24: Now the 2 connection profiles should be listed as Saved Profiles in the Manage
Profiles window. Click the button Done.

Step 25: The AWS VPN Client app should now display the message “Ready to connect”
and the 2 connection profiles TI-VPN-East and TI-VPN-WEST should be available in the

24
drop-down list. To connect to the VPN, select one of the profiles and then click the
Connect button.

The first time you connect to the AWS VPN Client, you might not need to input your
username and password, because you did this to download the AWS VPN Client. Thus, if
you do not see the screen shown in Step 27, continue from Step 28 onwards.

Step 26: A new browser window will open with the TELUS International OneLogin
Authentication page. Type in your TI credentials and the one-time code from the mobile app
to login to the AWS Client VPN service.

Step 27: Once successfully authenticated, the browser will display a message indicating the
authentication status. Close the browser window.

25
Step 28: The AWS VPN Client app will now display an informative banner related to the TI
VPN Connection. Click OK.

Step 29: The TI VPN should now be connected. The AWS VPN Client app should now
display the message Connected.

in again and instead you will be taken straight to your SRT home view.

Step 9: If you are asked to log into Workplace, enter your +SRT email address (the format
should be firstname.lastname+srt@telusinternational.com or equivalent) and click Continue:

30
Step 10: You will asked to provide your password; note that this is the SRT Password that
you configured when you logged into SRT for the first time and it should not be confused
with the AI Community Platform password or the AWS VPN password:

Enter your password and click continue.

In case you have forgotten your password, you have two options: click either the “Forgot
your password?” or the “Sign in without a password” option. Follow the instructions you
see on the screen for the option you select.

Step 11: If your password is correct, the system will log you into the SRT view in your
Workplace account:

31
Open a new tab in your browser and enter the SRT URL again:

Once there, you can close the previous tab and proceed to rate ads in the usual way.

How to Log into TELUS International OneLogin Portal for instructions), you will be asked
to register your security questions. Here is a screenshot of the first time login view:

The following requirements have to be taken into account when setting your security

● Do not use a password as an answer.
● Answer a minimum of 5 questions.
● Answers are not case-sensitive.

so. Remember you have to comply with the system requirements and you cannot
reuse any of the 5 previously used passwords.
● The security questions can only be set up through the TELUS International OneLogin
Portal. You can still log into the AWS VPN Client even if you do not register

44
your security questions; however, you risk not being able to recover your
password yourself, which is faster than waiting for the SME Support team to reset
your password.
