I NOTIFICATION :
1 It is hereby notified for the information that Ordnance Factory Bhandara(Unit of MIL) intends to engage the
following Graduate /Technician Apprentices for Apprenticeship training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 (as amended
1973, 2014 and 2019).
2 Who are willing for engagement to these apprentices at Ordnance Factory Bhandara and are fulfilling the eligibility
criteria as prescribed in this Advertisement, can apply as per the instructions given in this Advertisement.
II CRUCIAL DATE :
The Crucial Date for determining the Age Limits, Educational Qualifications shall be 13th July 2024.
III CLOSING DATE :
The Closing Date for submission of the Applications to the Factory shall be 13th July 2024.

CMD MIL/CGM OFBA reserves the right to modify the vacancies/conditions for engagement of apprentices at any stage of
engagement.
NOTE : Abbreviations used in this Advertisement stand for as follows :

V FULFILLING THE QUOTA OF APPRENTICES
(i) In view of non availability of candidates in allotted subject fields, in order to fulfill the quota, the Apprentices will be
engaged in available subject fields and also in combination of Graduate/Technician apprentices, provided availability
of training facilities in O.F. Bhandara in that subject fields.
(ii). When the prescribed number of persons belonging either to the Scheduled Castes or to the Scheduled Tribes are not
available, the training places so reserved for them may be filled by persons belonging to the Scheduled Tribes or as the
case may be, to the Scheduled Castes and if the prescribed training places cannot be filled even in the above given
manner, then the training places so lying unfilled may be filled by persons not belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the
Scheduled Tribes
(iii) When the prescribed number of training places cannot be filled from the Other Backward Classes, then the training
places so lying unfilled may be filled by persons not belonging to the Other Backward Classes.
(iv) CMD MIL/CGM OFBA reserves the right to modify the vacancies/conditions for engagement of apprentices at any
stage of engagement.

VI PERIOD OF TRAINING AND STIPEND :

The Period of Training for and the rate of Stipend payable to the Apprentices are as follows :

VII AGE LIMIT :
To undergo Apprenticeship Training, the minimum age limit is 14 years and there is no upper age limit. However, the
candidates between the age of 14-18 years are not eligible to sign the Contracts, being the minor. Their Contracts are required
to be signed by their Guardians. .
VIII EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS :
On the Crucial Date, the Educational Qualifications and Other Qualifications of the candidates applying for engagement
as the Apprentices MUST be as follows :
1 GRADUATE APPRENTICES
(a) A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a statutory University.
(b) A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such Degree by an Act of
Parliament.
(c) Graduate Examination of Professional Bodies recognized by Central Government as equivalent to a degree.
(d) Candidates who have completed Graduate(Engg.) through regular(full time) mode are only eligible for
apprenticeship training.
2 TECHNICIAN APPRENTICES
(a) A Diploma in engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established
by a State Government.
(b) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University.
(c) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institute recognized by the State Government or Central
Government as equivalent to (a) and (b) above.
(d) Candidates who have completed Diploma through regular(full time) mode are only eligible for
apprenticeship training
3 GENERAL STREAM GRADUATE APPRENTICES
(a) A Degree granted by a statutory University OR an Institution empowered to grant such Degree by an Act of
Parliament OR Graduate Examination of Professional Bodies recognized by Central Government as equivalent to a
degree in relevant field.
IX Provided that:
(a) Engineering Graduate/General Stream Graduate or Diploma holder who had training or job experience for a
period of one year or more, after the attainment of these qualifications, shall not be eligible for being engaged as
an apprentice under the Act;.
(b) No Sandwich Course student shall be eligible for being engaged as an apprentices under the act after passing the
final examination of the technical Institution wherein such student is undergoing the course, unless so approved
by the Regional Central Apprenticeship Advisers;
(c) A person who has been a Graduate or Technician apprentice under the Act and in whose case the contract of
apprenticeship was terminated for any reason whatsoever shall not be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice
again under the Act without the prior approval of the Apprenticeship Adviser.
(d) Candidates who have completed Post Graduate Qualification are not eligible for Apprenticeship Training.
(e) A Candidate is not eligible to undergo apprenticeship training if the gap is more than five years. Candidates
who have completed Degree/Diploma after 30th September-2019, shall be eligible for Apprenticeship
Training.
X METHOD OF SELECTION:
(a) The Selection will be based on the merit list prepared on marks obtained by Graduate/Technician in the Final Year
(i.e. aggregate of all years) Examination and Document Verification followed by Medical Examination and Police
Verification Report.
In Case of CGPA/SGPA grading, Candidates must produce relevant documents from their, School/College
/University to calculate the equivalent percentage of marks, in the absence of which candidate will be
disqualified.
(b) There shall be NO Test or Interview for Selection.

XI OTHER INFORMATION:
1 REGISTRATION OF CONTRACT OF APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING
Selected candidates will have to enter into a contract with the employer which will be registered by Board of
Apprenticeship Training ( BOAT, WR, Mumbai ) for the period of training under apprenticeship Act, 1961 (Amendment
in 1973, 2014 & 2019).
(a) The candidate has to give a Declaration that he has not undergone Apprenticeship Training anywhere, under the
Acts.
(b) If the gap between the declaration of the result and the commencement of training is less than one year, a self-
affidavit is sufficient and if the gap is between one to five years, a Court Affidavit should be submitted in the same
format as Declaration.
(c) A candidate is not eligible to undergo apprenticeship training if the gap is more than five years.
2 EMPLOYMENT
(a) On completion of Apprenticeship Training, no employment in the Factory is guaranteed.
3 ACCOMODATION AND MEDICAL TREATMENT
(a) Accommodation may be provided on payment as per Rules subject to availability. Apprentices are entitled for
Medical Treatment at OF Bhandara as per OFMR.
4 DRESS CODE
(a) Selected candidates report to OFBA in uniform comprising of Plain Navy-Blue Trouser & Plain Sky Colour Shirt.
XII HOW TO APPLY:
(a) The interested candidates, fulfilling the eligibility criteria may fill-up application form and send it to “The Chief General
Manager, Ordnance Factory Bhandara( Unit of Munitions India Ltd.)- 441906(MS)” along with the self-attested copies
of required documents by post superscripting the envelope with Application for Graduate/Technician/General Stream
Graduate Apprenticeship Training in O.F. Bhandara”.
(b) Incomplete/incorrect/belated applications shall be rejected.
(c) Application in the prescribed format only be accepted.
(d) Applications received in Ordnance Factory Bhandara(Unit of MIL) after 13th July 2024 for any reason what so ever it
may be including delay by Post Office, will not be entertained.
XIII CAUTION FOR CANDIDATES
A caution MUST be noted by all candidates that some unscrupulous elements may approach the candidates with assurance of
procuring engagement for Apprenticeship training or guarantee of job after training for them in Ordnance Factory Bhandara
through illegal gratification. The candidates MUST not fall prey to any such false assurance or exploitation and MUST not
entertain or encourage such elements in any way. The Factory shall NOT be responsible in any manner whatsoever if a
candidate succumbs to such tactics by anybody at any stage.
