TRAINING OBJECTIVES

This course is designed for the trainees who want to join a textile spinning mills as auto-
cone operator. In this course the student will get the operating skill and knowledge of
the auto-cone winding machines. The purpose of this course is to enhance the skill level
for the auto-cone operator to conform the highest quality modern machines.

This course aims at producing skilled labour force for the spinning mills. The trainees
will be given adequate training in operating the auto-cone winding machines.

CURRICULUM SALIENTS

Entry level : Matriculation (male)


Duration of course : 3-Months
Total training hours : 300
Training hours per week : 25
Training methodology : Practical 80%
Theory 20%
Medium of instruction : Urdu/English
No. of trainees : 25

NOTE: One hour per week for Work Ethics

SKILL PROFICIENCY DETAILS

On successful completion of this course, the trainee should be able to:


1. Clean the machines at the start and middle of the shift.
2. Start and stop the machines and individual spindles.
3. Feed the bobbins in the magazine and place paper cones on the holders.
4. To be able to remove the loose yarns entangled to various parts of the machine.
5. To be able to control the production of all the spindles under his custody.
6. To be able to handle the minor problems of the machines by himself and to
report for major problems to the maintenance staff or the supervisor.
7. To be able to differentiate between cones of different counts and codes. Can
place them properly in stacking area and can count the production.
8. Can remove residual yarn from bobbins without damaging them.
9. Can rewind the rejected cones.
10. Gives feed back to the ring department about the spinning faults.

On successful completion of the course, the trainee should be able to:
1. Explain the objectives of the cone winding.
2. Explain the requirements of the atmospheric control for the different materials.
3. Explain package faults and can report them to the higher management.
4. Understands the working of the cone winding machine.
5. Explain winding faults and their causes.
6. Understand the quality requirements of the mills.
7. Knows the difference between different materials of yarn, material blends and
yarn counts.
8. Knows about the bobbins of different colours assigned for different counts.
9. Knows about the assigning of paper cones for different counts.
10. Understands the different causes of yarn breakage during winding.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR INSTRUCTOR

1. 4- Years Degree (B.S.) in Textile Engineering with 2 years experience, or

2. 3- Years Diploma in Spinning with at least 6 years experience in industry
