FIRE INTRODUCTION ABOUT FIRE

 What is fire?
Fire is basically a chemical reaction combining three
elements:
 Fuel
 Heat
 Oxygen
The Fire Triangle

Oxygen Heat
O2

Combustible Material ( Fuel )

REMOVE

Oxygen O2 Heat

Combustible Material ( Fuel )

Either Fuel, Heat or the Oxygen…

then fire will be extinguished
THE FIRE TRIANGLE WILL BE
COLAPSED

Material ( Fuel )
The Fire will be Extinguished
EG:1
The Fire on the candle gose off when it is covered by
something
Why?
Because the OXYGEN is not
There. It means if one of the
element from the fire triangle is
removed the fire gose off.
TYPES OF FIRE
 Class A – Normal Combustibles
 Class B – Flammable Liquids
 Class C – Electrical Circuits, Switch boards, Office
equipment

 Varnish
Classification / Types of Fire
Extinguished using CO2
 Energized electrical equipment
 Electrical Circuit
 Switch Boards
 Office equipment

 Magnesium
 Sodium
 Potassium
 Other Flammable Metals
Classification / Types of Fire
