COC 1 – Script/Flow

Day 1
1. Checking the training Venue / Prayer
Before the training start. I already check the tools, equipment and materials
are available and in good condition. The CBLM supplies are enough for the
trainees and the MULTI-MEDIA is ready for General Orientation.

2. Greetings
Good morning trainees welcome to TESDA PTC MINGLANILLA. By the way I
am Mr. Amylson Quiachon, your trainer in qualification
SLAUGHTERING OPERATIONS swine NC II. Before we will start, can
you please stand-up for the prayer... AMEN… You may now take your seats.

3. Checking of Attendance
I’m very glad to see you all here. Please sign the attendance sheet with your
name and signature. Thank you!

4. Data Gathering Tools


For me to gather more information about you, I have here a structured
questionnaires that you need to fill out. This will help me know your profile,
characteristics and learning style. And this will serve as my guide in
preparing your learning activity. (I give you 5mins to answer).

5. Self-Assessment Checklist
I have also here the self-assessment checklist. The purpose of this is for me
to know what is your current competency in this qualification. Just Check
YES if you think you can perform this competency. But if NOT just check
NO. (I will give you 5 mins to answer. Thank you)

As I can see here, Homs checked yes on HANDLE AND SHARPEN KNIVES so
please present a proof of evidence tomorrow, this could be a certificate of
training or employment. And for Kathryn, since you check all the NO column
so meaning you will start at the beginning.

6. Pre-Test
Now, I will let you answer the pre-test. The purpose of this is to test your
baseline knowledge and preparedness in this qualification. You have 15mins
to answer this. Thank you!

Let’s proceed to our orientation. Once again, welcome to TESDA PTC

8. Tour of 9 Work Station


This time, we’re going to have a tour of the 9 work stations.
a. Contextual Learning Laboratory – ensures underpinning knowledge,
science, math and communication principles as applied to the
technology are provided to the learner.
b. Practical Work Area – learner acquires the skills and knowledge
components prescribed by the standards.
c. Learning Resource Area – provides learner the knowledge
requirements in the various modules responding to the competencies.
d. Institutional Assessment Area – recognition of prior learning is done
by the trainer.
e. Quality Control Area – various test and calibration are conducted in
this area.
f. Trainers Resource Area – houses the learning materials, Training
Regulations and curriculum exemplar.
g. Computer laboratory – uses of Information Technology
h. Distance Learning – enhance accessibility of TVET.
i. Support Service area – provides value adding competencies

9. END OF DAY 1.
Let’s go back to contextual learning laboratory. HOMS don’t forget to bring
your COE/Certificates tomorrow. Do you have any question? If none let’s call it a
day and see you all tomorrow. Thank you!
Day 2
1. Greetings and Attendance

2. Validate trainee 1
Homs did you bring your proof of evidence? I can see here that you had
an OJT in senior high school. Is that correct? That’s good. Please be
ready for the institutional assessment later.
Kathryn since you check all the no column you will start from the very
beginning. Kindly follow me in Learning resource area. Read info sheet
1.1-1 to 1.1-5 and Answer Self-Check and then Compare your answer in
the answer key. Call me when you are done to assist you in Practical
Work Area.

3. Demonstration (ni HOMS with knowledge)


Follow me in institutional assessment area HOMS.
-Written Exam (20 mins to answer)
-Demonstration (Ayaw jod kalimti ang word nga OBSERVED SAFETY og
WEAR YOUR PPE)
-Oral questioning (Prepare 2 questions)

Let’s go back to Contextual Learning Lab for the feedback.

Base on the result of your written Exam, you got 95%. Wow! And for the
demo, you were able to perform Installing and configuring computer
systems by following the correct procedures and finish it on time. In oral
questioning, you were able to answer all my questions correctly so good
job! So now, based on the evidence gathered, I can say that you are
competent in the first competency which is HANDLE AND SHARPEN KNIVES.
Let me give you your Certificate of Achievement. I will record it on
the progress char and achievement chart Are you ready for the next
competency?

Alright, let’s proceed to the Learning Resource area and read information
sheet 2.1-1, answer self-check and compare your answer to the answer
key. I’ll get back to you later. (Don’t forget to check this progress /
Achievement chart of Homs)

4. Demonstration (Kathryn w/ 0 knowledge)


Hi Kathryn, how are you doing? Are you done with the info sheets and
self-check? Alright, let’s proceed to Practical work area.

After studying the task sheet, you may practice and perform the task.
OBSERVED SAFETY.

I can see that you’re having a hard time in following the procedures, so
please allow me to do a demonstration and please observe because you
will do a return demonstration after. (perform the demo)
Now I will give you time to practice and I will get back to you later…
Alright Kathryn, are you ready? Please do the demonstration now.

Okay very good. You were able to perform well. So, I believe, you are now
ready for the institutional assessment so please proceed to the
Institutional assessment area.

-Written Exam (20 mins to answer)


-Demonstration (OBSERVED SAFETY og WEAR YOUR PPE)
-Oral questioning (Prepare 2 questions)

Base on the result of your written Exam you got 17 over 20. Wow! And in
the demonstration and oral questioning, you have passed the
institutional assessment. Good Job! Let me give you your Certificate of
Achievement. Let’s go back to the Learning Resource area for your next
modules. (Don’t forget to check this progress / Achievement chart of
Kathryn)

5. END OF DAY 2.
Ok. Since we don’t have enough time let’s call it a day. Kathryn let’s
continue that tomorrow. Before you leave this room kindly perform
PERFORM 5’S (ayaw kalimti ang 5’S).
Day 3
1. GREETINGS

2. POST-TEST
Well done! Both of you passed all the institutional assessment so this time I
will let you answer the post-test. This is to determine how much you have
learned in this training. (20 mins to answer)

3. AWARD THE “CERTIFICATE OF TRAINING”


Good job everyone. You have completed all the competencies for this
qualification. So I will award you this CERTIFICATE OF TRAINING for
completing the 35 days training in SLAUGHTERING OPERATIONS
swine NC II. So HOMS please come forward. Congratulations! Next,
Kathryn please come forward. Congratulations!

4. INSTRUCTION FOR APPLICATION OF ASSESSMENT


So now, I would suggest to take a National Competency Assessment at any
assessment centers accredited for SLAUGHTERING OPERATIONS swine
NC II. Just bring 2pcs Passport Size ID for the application of the
Assessment.

5. EVALUATION OF THE TRAINER


Before you go, please answer this program evaluation form. The purpose of
this is for me to know on what are the things that I need to in the future.
