Self-Awareness
- how an individual understand his or her own
character.
SELF-CONCEPT
- According to Carl Roger, it is one’s idea about
himself, particularly toward their unique
personality and own perception about their point
of views.
Two Categories
IDEAL SELF - is the person that you would like
to be
ACTUAL SELF - is who you really are
Strengths
- an activity that makes you feel strong or
something you are good at
Weakness
- an activity that you do not like doing or you find
hard to master
ADOLESCENCE
- transition between childhood and adulthood
CHARACTERISTIC - is something about you
that sets you apart from others
HABIT - is something you do on a regular
basis.
EXPERIENCE - is something you have learned
from doing things before
Physiological Development
- refers to the physical changes/physical
health.
Build healthy eating habits
Get some exercise every day
Get plenty of rest
Be open to your parents if you have
concerns about your physical development
Cognitive Development
- Characterized by a person’s ability to think
and reason out.
Emotional Development
- During adolescence, it is normal to
experience a wide range of emotions.
Be humble and learn to
apologize when you have
done something wrong
Assume responsibility for your
actions
Learn to manage stress.
Practice gratitude.
Social Development
- Focuses on doing performing leadership
roles, and interacting with other people.
Engage with others
Develop your ability to
pay attention
Encourage others to
talk about themselves
Do not let fear hold
you back
Spiritual Development
- Growing interest in life’s deeper meanings,
spirituality, faith, and religion.
Explore your values
Take time to meditate
Practice self- awareness
