Proposal Title: Basis for Blood Bank Development Program: A Strategic Approach to Improve Healthcare Accessibility and Response to Emergencies Among the
Students of NEUST
Adviser: Rose Ann R. Paet, MAN, RN

INTRODUCTION: This section gives a short overview of the background of the problem and why it's important/ Research Gap (limit to 3-5 sentences)
Blood is a critical resource in healthcare, playing an essential role in saving lives during emergencies, surgeries, and medical treatments. However, access to a sufficient
and safe blood supply remains a challenge in many regions, where awareness and participation in blood donation programs may be limited. The NEUST, with its pool of potential
young donors, presents a unique opportunity to address this issue. This research aims to develop a strategic blood bank program that enhances accessibility and responsiveness to
emergencies among students. By fostering a culture of volunteerism and integrating blood donation initiatives into the college's framework, we aim to improve blood availability,
educate students on the importance of donation, and establish a reliable network for emergency situations.

Objectives of the Research: it should state what the study intends to describe, find out, discover or evaluate. Specific Objective should be in declarative form
The general aim of this study is to develop and implement a comprehensive blood bank program that enhances accessibility and responsiveness to blood supply needs during
emergencies among the students at NEUST
1. To determine the factors influencing the willingness of students to participate in blood donation drives.
2. To establish partnerships with local hospitals and blood banks to ensure a reliable blood supply network for emergencies.
3. To create a strategic plan for organizing regular blood donation drives and awareness campaigns within the NEUST
4. To develop protocols for ensuring the sustainability and efficiency of the proposed blood bank, including donor recruitment, blood storage, and emergency preparedness.
