1). The data for a 4-bus power system with generations at


buses 1 and 2 are shown below. The generator reactances are
in per unit on a 100MVA base.

(d) Determine the elements of the admittance matrix bus in
rectangular form for the system.

3(a) Figure Q3 shows the power system network with


generation at bus 1. Buses 2 and 3 are the voltage- controlled
buses and the load, respectively. Line reactance and loads are
marked in per unit as shown in figure Q3. Assume an initial
voltage (1.0 + j0.0) pu on the load bus 2 and bus 3, and
keeping |V3| = 1.005 pu, compute the bus voltage V2 and V3
using the Gauss-Seidel iteration method. Perform two
iterations only

real and reactive power. Construct a power flow diagram and
show the direction of the line flow.
