Puffin Book Club

You should all have received a Puffin Book Club Catalogue. I will be sending off orders after 15th June which is the deadline. Your orders are invaluable in helping to refresh the stock in the library. Please order a book if you can as the total of free books which we can buy soon mounts up. Think ahead to the long holidays or birthdays which might be coming up and take advantage of the huge discounts which the book club offers! You might be thinking of donating a book to the library if your child is leaving this summer. We welcome donations and suggestions of how to spend them. We then stick a bookplate in the book to remember your child by. If you want to buy a book yourself, please check with us that it is not already in the library as it is a shame to duplicate books when there is still a need for fresh material.

Youth Speaks
After the holiday, on June 13th at 9.30 some of Year 6 will be taking part in the Youth Speaks contest in school, giving their speeches to the Rotary Club judges. I will be sending out information about this to families at the beginning of the holiday so please look out for an email in your inbox if your child tells you he/she will be one of the contestants.
Ms Case

Library
The library will re-open to the children after the holiday. We have made a lot of changes and we hope to take all of the children into the library in the first week back to teach them how to use the new system and to show them what changes we have made. I would like to thank the team who has worked so hard to get the library to where it is today - Mrs Edwards, Mrs Baglin, Mrs Williams, Mrs Patel and, of course, Mrs Phillips. I hope that your children will really enjoy the changes we have made and the new stock which we have bought with your help.
