Now we will design the plant according to the load 275TR Taking the diversity of 40TR , our plant capacity is now revised to 235TR Now we will select the following things for plant setup -CHILLER -COLOLING TOWER -CHILLED WATER PUMP -CONDENSOR WATER PUMP -AHU -INSULATION -VALVES -DUCTING -ACOUSTICS -GRILLS -DAMPERS -CABELING -DISTRIBUTION PANEL
20
We have a TR requirement of 235TR So we will take 2 chilling units Refrigerant used will be 134-a 1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane,

Since we will be using 2 chillers therefore 2 cooling towers are to be installed Each will be installed of different capacity

As the length of ducting increases its cross section is decreased so as to maintain the static pressure
33
Rectangular and round cross section area is used in our design of plant
Rectangular duct
Circular duct
34
Plant is designed for the given load 275 TR Design and calculation of major parts of AC plant has been discussed
Load calculated by Mechanical Services Limited of B-block was 191TR while our results shows that load is about 235TR 300

our load given load
Series 1
So there is a difference of about 40TR which is quite considerable ,which may lead to the Ineffective cooling and non comfortable environment Specially on the second floor where the heat load is higher AHU units installed are of same 35 capacity as on other floor ,which gives less cooling, so higher capacity AHU must be installed.
