Ranking Description
a) Effort should be made to reduce the risk, but the costs or prevention should
be carefully measured & limited. Risk reduction measures should be
implemented within a defined time period.
b) Where the moderate risk is associated with extremely harmful
consequences, further assessment may be necessary to establish more

improved control measures.
c) Additional control shall be proposed and implemented upon
commencement of work if necessary.

a) Work should not be commenced or continued unless the risk has been

remain prohibited.
d) Additional control must be proposed and implemented before
commencement of work. The risk level shall then be reduced to at least
moderate.
