OBJECTIVE
• A literature survey on different boost converter topologies
• To gather information about the operation ,advantages, drawbacks and
applications of different boost converter topologies
• design a Boost converter after study of different topologies along with sutaible close
loop control
• finally interface the converter with PV cells and electric vehicles
Abstract
• The output of a non conventional energy source can't be directly given to the load and not
sufficient for high voltage application
• Dc to Dc Boost converter are most popular and its different topologies are mostly used in PV
applications and electric vehicles
• New topologies reduces switching losses, improves voltage gain, reduces the ripple voltages
/currents, reduces stress on MOSFETS and improves overall efficiency of converter
• Aim is to develop a high voltage gain boost converter that satisfies all conditions
