Name, Status, Aims and Objectives
The name of the Association shall be ‘VET
STUDENT FEDERATION’ here in referred to as the VSF. The VSF shall have as its primary aims: • To represent the students of the UCV & AS locally, nationally, internationally. • To promote and maintain the educational, social, cultural and general interests of the students. • To promote the views of students on problems in the educational system as a whole. • To maintain and promote co-operation with the students and student organisations. These aims shall be pursued without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation,disability, ethnic origin, religion, age or creed,independent of any party political organisation or religious body. STRUCTURE OF VSF The Executive council: The Executive Council shall consist of: (A) President (B) General secretary (C) Secretary group managemant societies (D) Secretary Finance (E) Secretary Sports (F) Secretary public Relation (A) The President shall: (i) Be responsible for the maintenance of the VSF status at IUB, and be the official VSF officers in matters concerning the University. (ii) Uphold the constitution. (iii) Have signing authorities to the VSF bank account in conjunction with the Secretary Finance. (iv) Be the chairman of all executive and general body meetings. (v) Provide direction for the federation. (vi) Ensure smooth running of all events. (vii) To call general and executive meetings. (viii) Have power to call a new office if needed. (B) The General secretary shall: (i) Assume the role of President, should the president not be able to complete his/her term for some reason. (ii) Represent VSF in all external bodies in conjunction with the President. (iii) Be responsible for the promotion of VSF interests abroad. (iv) Assume all duties assigned by the President. (C) Secretary group managemant societies (GMS)

Recreation trip Blood donating society Curricular activity Society societies (C) The Secretary group managemant societies (GSM) shall: (i) Ensure proper planning and operating events during the year. (ii) Present budgets and prospective costs of all events to the executive committee. (iii) Forward all major decisions to the executive for approval. (iv) Assume all duties assigned by the President. (D) The Secretary Finance shall: (i) Keep records of all monies received and dispersed. (ii) Prepare financial reports as deemed necessary by the Executive Council. (iii) Preparation of monthly financial statements. (iv) Co-signing authorities to the VSF bank account along with the President. (v) Responsible for fund-raising along with the General secretary. (E) The Secretary Sports shall: (i) Organize sports event while in office. (ii) Organize inter-department or inter-club sports tournaments and all that involves ensuring that it runs smoothly. (iii) Co-ordinate other events with different clubs on campus. (iv) Assume all duties assigned by the President. (F) The Secretary public Relation shall: (i) Be responsible for keeping the members informed of all VSF activities. (ii) Propagating the interests and activities of the VSF on university-wide committees made up of students, faculty, and administrators i.e IUB pulse.
