Course Overview
This unit of competency, “Prepare Land for Agricultural Crop
Production”, covers the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to
prepare equipment, maintenance and servicing of vehicles and
equipment, proper disposal of wastes, and care for the vehicles
and equipment in completing the activity. Equipment and
machinery may be animal- powered. It includes the completion of
documentation and logbooks for the operation.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM
At the end of this course, you should be able to:
1. Select and prepare equipment required for site cultivation
2. Maintain and service vehicles and equipment
3. Safely dispose wastes related to maintenance and servicing work
4. Document and keep records of maintenance and servicing activities.

The following assessment methods shall be used for assessing the competency of participants:
• Demonstration—This refers to observation of trainee’s demonstration during real work time
while demonstrating the specific task or job. This will limit only to the task or job can be
demonstrated online. This shall be done using Online Conferencing Applications by showing their
screen or asking trainees to perform task in trainers prepared computer via remote access.

• Interview/Oral Questioning— This refers to asking the trainees a number of questions
about real, simulated or hypothetical situations in the competency being assessed. This
will be done using Two Way Audio/Video Communication Platform (Skype; Google
Meet; Facebook Messenger, and Viber Messenger.

System/Assessment Method
• Computer based test— This is composed of multiple choice test, short answer and True or
False given online. The computer based test shall only be opened to a particular
participant scheduled for assessment during designated time. If the participant failed to
take the test during the designated time, he/she should notify the online mentor for
another schedule of test. A trainee should be able to get at least 80% of the correct
answers to pass the test.

slides and submit it to the submission bin of
your course site together with the task sheet
and performance criteria checklist.

Monitoring and Grading System

• Built-in Monitoring System


Logs reports, activity reports, and gradebook shall be
utilized to track the attendance and learning progress
of the trainees.
The activity completion tracker shall be enabled for
the participants to monitor their own progress
Grades will be based on the outputs submitted
through online
Training Plan/Schedule

The training shall run for 5 days depending on the competency of the enrolled
trainee.
• A more detailed breakdown of schedule, which include learning activities
deadline of submission of outputs, and assessment, shall be indicated in the
study guide which will be uploaded to the LMS to serve as further guidance to
ensure completion of the program.
