Passenger trains stabled on platforms, stabling at way
side stations:
A. On arrival of train on to platform.

i. Hand brakes: Working condition of Hand In case hand brake is defective

as per the advice of Guard.

B. After rake is stabled at way-side station:

C. Before dispatching from stabling point.
After attaching the loco on to formation:

Releasing of hand brakes: i. Working SLR. Guard
ii. Front/non working SLR. Points Man, Guard to
(Slackness of brake blocks to the wheels in supervise & ensure.
conventional rakes and green indication of hand brake
in LHB rakes also to be ensured).
1 After releasing hand brakes of both rear and front
SLR/Power cars, the Guard shall ensure closing of
non-working guard compartment door and lock with
universal key/padlock

2 Manual Releasing brakes of formation. Train crew and pointsman
Entry in the “Stabled load Register” filling up all the relevant columns to the

above effect should be made.
Once the coaches/rakes are fully locked and secured, security should protect

the coaches/rakes till departure from the stabling point.
