right to education into action by including all
learners , respecting their diverse needs,
abilities and characteristics and eliminating
all forms of discrimination in the learning

relevant; gender-responsive, and
contextualized.

With these ideas TEACHERS are the

Primary Implementer of IE.
• All learners, regardless of the condition
participate in a mainstream classroom
alongside their age peers
• The learners adhere to prescribe
curriculum and methodology with some
accommodation/adaptations and
modifications to meet the needs of the
learners disabilities, giftedness and
talents
• All learners simply require good
instruction, but different teaching
strategies may be employee to those with
low or very high education needs
• The general education teacher oversees
the learning of students and in some
cases, with the help of a shadow teacher
or special teacher.

Every child, regardless of their height is
given the same resources. In this situation
everyone is given the same support with
the assumption that once all children are
provided with the same opportunities,
every one of them were catered properly.
This is considered to be equal
treatment.
What is Equity?
It is about fairness in every situation. The
boxes that represent supports are
differentiated; individualized or
personalized to match the diverse needs of
the learners.
Every learners get the support they
need..
What is Reality?

One gets more than is

need, while the other gets
less than is needed. Thus, a
huge disparity is created
What is Liberation / Justiec?
All 3 learners can see the game without supports or
accommodations because the causes of the inequity
was addressed. The systematic barrier has been
removed.
According to Valbrun (2017), barriers limits learners’
participation. HE removed the barriers for all the
learners to see the situation without any additional
support that results to creation of equitable systems
of education
Accommodation vs. Modification
Accommodations – change how the learners with disabilities,
giftedness, and talents learn the same materials and met the same
expectations as their age peers (e.g. a person with visual
impairment using audio
Modification – changes what a learners is taught or expected to
learn ( e.g. a person with intellectual disability use less
complicated text materials of different content topic, than
