Why mental health awareness is important?
Mental health and physical health are intertwined. One can rarely have one without the other, they
feed each other. Especially for children, mental health decides how you move throughout the world.
It affects how we think, act, and feel about the world around us. If a child has mental health issues
that go untreated, it can shape how that child lives the rest of their life. A person’s mental health
chooses whether they’re going to live a healthy or unhealthy life
“ Mental health is a state of wellbeing where people and societies function at their best.”
FAST FACTS
Mental health is the state of wellbeing where people and societies function at their best.
Mental health and neurological disorders are one of the major groups of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs),
which affect people’s thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships.
They include a diverse range of diseases and conditions such as depression, schizophrenia, dementia,
Alzheimer’s disease, anxiety, and substance abuse disorders, among many others. An estimated 450-500
million people live with mental conditions worldwide.
A person’s ability to maintain good mental health is down to a range of factors, which are often beyond
their
control. The determinants of mental health include social, environmental, psychological, and biological
factors. These include the major NCD risk factors of alcohol and tobacco use, unhealthy diet, and physical
inactivity.
There is no health without mental health. Mental health has links to cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular and
respiratory diseases and other NCDs, often co-occurring with them.
Mental health conditions and neurological disorders are conditions that affect thoughts, emotions,
behaviours, and relationships. These include disorders that cause a high burden of disease such as
depression, bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, dementia, substance use disorders,
among many others. These conditions can be experienced in isolation; however, they often occur alongside
other noncommunicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, respiratory diseases and cancers
OUTCOMES

We the members of the this project started a social program for spreading
the awareness of mental health through socialmedia. Our Aim was to make

health of the individual as most of the time people are at home can’t go
outside, interaction with friends also been restricted and many more things
which we normally do in our daily routine life During conversation with
different peoples We group members of this social Activity project find
that most of the cases were of depression, Anxiety and other mental
disorder and we group members thinks that mental health is important
now a days as no one knows what’s actually happen in brain like is it
stress, Anxiety or other things while during conducting this activity it
requires skills like how our group members communicate with
different peoples of age listening skill is most important part of this
activity and we as group members focus on these things and.Mental
Health Awareness Month provides a timely reminder that that

Where on the one hand there is a constant struggle to survive between the
tough competition with the already existing pages on Instagram that are
working on same issues for the longer duration oftime and large audience
but on the other hand this challenge and competition inspired me to offer
something different and better than others , that's what keep you going .

And i think mental health is a serious issue that you can't ignore
you never know what's going on in a person's mind but we can
support them by listening to them, maybe this can change their life,
and maybe yours.
I also feel positive vibes in myself after creating self loving quotes
and stories ,and i am now more serious about mental health issues.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

The whole thing started from a common idea and the people who had the
same intentions towards this idea came together, the idea was simple we just
have to be there for someone who genuinely need someone to talk to ,so we
choose to offer our availability to support and guide people who are not in
right space of mind and want to share their feelings eventually we all thought
to make an account on Instagram by the name "psych_sanity" and we started
offering our support to people and moreover we also shared lots of
motivational and self-love quotes stories and posts on which we got
appreciation from a-lot of people and we interacted with few people who
wanted to share their thing with us so when it comes to me i came out to
know that mental health is a serious issue and we can make a huge changein
people's life only just listening to them with empathy and this experience has
made me a better person today and i feel extremely happy because it just
gives you a different kick altogether.
