what we will learn from this…

Maximum Power Transfer theorem for AC circuits

LAB COURSE OUTCOMES:

Code Course Outcomes

23EC202.1 Verify Kirchhoff’s laws and network theorems
23EC202.2 Calculate time constants of RL & RC for first and second order systems
23EC202.3 Illustrate frequency response of RL, RC networks

23EC202.4 Determine Q factor and bandwidth for resonant circuit

23EC202.5 Verify various two port network parameters

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs): The POs are the transactional statements of graduate attributes (GAs) that each
graduating engineer should possess in terms of knowledge, skill and behavior with a minimum target performance
level at the time of graduation as fixed by the program of study seeking continuous improvement year on year. The
graduates of Electrical & Electronics Engineering of NSRIT will be able to demonstrate the following outcomes in
terms of knowledge, skill and behavioral competencies at the time of graduation with the expected target
performance level.
1.Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering
specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems. (Engineering Knowledge)
2.Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching
substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
(Problem Analysis)
3.Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet
the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and
environmental considerations. (Design/Development of Solutions)
4.Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and
interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions. (Investigation of Complex
Problems)
5.Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools
including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the
limitations. (Modern Tool Usage)
6.Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and
cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice. (The
Engineer and Society)
7.Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental
contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development. (The Environment and
Sustainability)
8.Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the
engineering practice. (Ethics)
9.Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in
multidisciplinary settings. (Individual and Team Work)
10.Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and
interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions. (Investigation of
Complex Problems)
11.Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply
these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage Projects and in multidisciplinary
environments. (Project Finance and Management)
12.Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-
long learning in the broadest context of technological change. (Life-Long Learning)
