JET ENGINE OVER HAUL COMPLEX (JEOC)
TYPES OF MAINTENANCE
Three types of scheduled maintenance for jet engines are carried out in JEOC :
L1 Level
L2 Level
The Maintaining Schedules are Classified as :
Scheduled Maintenance
Unscheduled Maintenance
The Engine
CORE ENGINE FLOW :- The core engine flow passes through the final inlet guide
vanes to the three stage ‘booster’ then to the high pressure compressor, the combustion
section of the high pressure and low pressure turbines and finally exhausts into the CAN.
BY PASS FLOW :- The fan exhaust air (Cold stream) entering the by pass duct passes
through fan outlet guide vanes and flows along the bypass duct to exhaust into the CNA.
CNA :-The core engine ‘hot’ exhaust and the ‘cool’ bypass flow are ‘mixed’ in the
common Nozzle Assembly before passing through the single propelling nozzle to
atmosphere.
