ALNG Marine Operation

Location Overview of the Marine Department
The ALNG marine department is responsible for:
•Ship vetting & compatibility •Pilotage (to / from ALNG berths) •Loading Master (ship / shore interface) •Marine technical advice •Surveying / dredging of the flare, approach channel, turning basin and ALNG berths •Maintenance of navigational aids •Provision of a PTMS (Soyo port control) A separate contract is in place between ALNG and Svitzer to provide •Towage service •Line handling (linesmen) •Pilot and patrol boats •Pollution response vessel
2 ALNG PILOTS
Highly experienced expatriate team consisting of 8 pilots working on a B2B system ensuring 4 pilots are in Soyo at any given time.
All are Master Mariners with oil and gas experience and endorsements.
Diverse range of skills and areas of expertise.
Conducted the simulator studies and developed the ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ for the arrival, loading and departure of vessels from the Angola LNG terminal.
3 SVITZER
Contracted to provide dedicated towage and line handling service to Angola LNG
Permanent jetty, logisitics base, 24/7 operation
Dedicated warehouse and workshop facilities
Additional resources available due to remote location

TUGS. • ENGINE OUTPUT 2 X 2206 KW • NEW BUILDS DEDICATED FOR THE PROJECT. • MODIFIED SKEG AND TOWING PIN DESIGN FOR HIGH SPEED ESCORT. • CLASS CERTIFIED FOR ESCORT TOWAGE AND Fi-Fi 1. • SINGLE TOWAGE DRUM FITTED FORWARD WITH A 225 T DYNEEMA TOWING LINE. • DOUBLE DRUM ARRANGEMENT FITTED AFT TO ALLOW TOWAGE OVER THE STERN. • EXTENSIVE BOW FENDERING.
