STEALTH
TECHNOLOGY
INTRODUCTION

 Stealth is a technique in which we can make any object

invisible.
 Stealth is an important technology which used in
military operations.
 Stealth technology also known as LO technology (low
observable technology)
HISTORY
 The first "stealth" aircraft used by America in the war
against Iraq

 This technique has also been used in ships.

 Later Americans worked again on stealth technology

and succeeded in most developed in stealth…
WHAT IS RADAR ?
 Radar is abbreviated as radio detection and ranging

 Radar was developed for war application , now its

applications had diversified .

 This is used to launch the missiles based on the target

and also counter attack the missiles launched by other
countries.

 Radio energy is transmitted by radar antenna in all

direction in form of pulses

 The object blocking these pulses act as target.

PLASMA
STEALTH

In this stealth the aircraft

injects a
stream of ionized gas which
envelopes the aircraft due to
which most of the radar wave
are observe this make the
aircraft completely invisible

SHAPES AND DESIGN
 It should be coated with the radar absorbing materials.

 It’s tail should kept an acute angle.

 Planes wings has to kept at angle.

 Design of nose.

AIRCRAFT DESIGN

 When we are using

normal shape

 While we use Stealth Technolog

 For navigation and weapon aiming, the aircraft is
equipped
with a forward-looking infrared (FLIR) and a downward-
looking infrared (DLIR) sensors

 It consist of four probes at the nose.

APPLICATIONS

 Used in wind farms.

 Civil aviation and launch

vehicles

 Military applications.
ADVANTAGES
 Reduces the causality rates during war

 Saving military budget

 Develop the military secretes

 Bluff the anti-detective device

 Stealth aircraft are invisible to radar.

 Develop the military secretes

 Saving military budget.

DISADVANTAGES
 Stealth aircraft cannot fly as fast or is not
maneuverable like conventional aircraft.
 Another serious disadvantage with the stealth
aircraft is the reduced amount of payload it can
carry.
 On the other hand a conventional aircraft can carry
much more payload than any stealth aircraft of its
class.
 Cost of maintenance
 Stealth aircraft cannot fly as fast as conventional
aircraft
 Can carry limited amount of load
FUTURE OF THE STEALTH
 The future of Stealth Technology seems to be
brighter than ever because of the fact of
significant development in the field of defense

 The need of Stealth technology can be stressed

upon the fact that most countries are investing
heavily in them and the emerging technologies are
being considered seriously and being incorporated
once their worth is proved .

 Stealth Technology has improved significantly

more advanced .

 stealth technology are not yet available

worldwide, but military forces around the world
will soon begin to attempt to mimic some of the
