1. Enter labels and values to set up a spread sheet
2. Label cells A4, B4, and C4
3. Autofill the year for the first 15 years
4. Enter the appropriate values and formulas in cells C5, B6, and C6

• In cell C1, enter: Interest Rate as a Percent
• In cell C2, enter: =1
• In cell B1, enter: Interest Rate as a Decimal
• In cell B2, enter: =C2/100

on Scroll Bar

• Click and drag your mouse
vertically to create a vertical scroll
bar or horizontally to create a
horizontal scroll bar

2. Format controls
• Right click on your scroll bar and
select Format Control from the
drop down menu

to the following
• Minimum value enter: 1
• Maximum value: 20
• Cell link: C2
• Click OK

4. Format your y-axis
• Double click on your y-axis values
to open the formatting window
• Change the following:
Minimum: 1000
Maximum: 15000

• Move the white box up or down
(or left and right if you have a
horizontal one) to see the changes
in your graph
