A interação em ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem (AVAs) é fenômeno de substancial importância para o sucesso de programas de ensino a distância. Neste artigo discutimos sobre a manifestação de afeto e conflito que permeiam as interações ocorridas em AVAs de um sistema formal de ensino superior. A partir dos diálogos desenvolvidos pelos alunos foram identificados padrões de interação que revelam manifestações de afeto positivas e/ou de conflito. Os dados coletados correspondem aos diálogos desenvolvidos entre alunos e professores em um curso superior a distância, submetidos à análise de seu conteúdo em uma abordagem interpretativista. A compreensão do afeto, do conflito e da negociação nas relações em ambientes de aprendizagem on line parecem relevantes para a construção de espaços de aprendizagem que potencializem a manifestação do afeto e a superação do conflito.

This article describes and analyzes experiments conducted during the development of the master's work entitled "Parameterized Modeling of Accessibility Design Details: Work Flow In order to reuse, interoperability and materialization”. Such experiments intend to investigate and verify the potential of interoperability between different architecture softwares. It was verified the possibility of materialization and reuse of models, where the details worked with new guise through the context of environment and creating of the project which it was inserted. The difficulties of access, sharing and editing data and information were evaluated. The results obtained allowed to identify features and limitations related to the models and their formats.

To be presented, digital books usually require portable reading devices. Given this relationship, understanding their technology is necessary for the proper design of the digital book. So, this article aims to identify the technological characteristics of portable reading devices that influence the digital book design. The study was developed from a literature research and a systematic review. After these procedures, it was inferred that the choice of the technology relies on the main focus of the publication, whether it is interactivity or continuous reading. Furthermore, the technology influences the choice of the digital book format which determines its design possibilities.

This article presents the complex context of the use of materials published by various media, especially the Internet, and its indiscriminate use that often goes against the current copyright law. The practices adopted for distribution of learning materials based on the philosophy of free access, which, despite its liberal use, respect the copyright are discussed. Finally, we discuss the practices adopted by two universities of Santa Catarina, its distance education programs seek to legalize and regulate issues related to copyright in the production of learning materials for their courses. Such practices demonstrate that universities are still using policies described for the protection of copyright based on the current Brazilian legislation, which, also, is being updated.

Daylighting considerations influence the whole design process and should incorporate conceptual and aesthetics topics as well as technical ones. In spite of advances in both research and technological devices in the last decades, there are several barriers that make it difficult the effective application of such advances in architectural design. Recent studies have pointed out the lack of adequate understanding of the day-lighting phenomenon as one of the major barriers. This article presents the development of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), an innovative teaching method for improving students’ understanding about the lighting phenomenon, approaching the light path and its modifications generated by the main architectural design variables.

This paper describes an experiment in which a virtual learning environment was used in the context of an architectural design course. The objective was to evaluate the capability of the learning environment used to support the interactions needed, between teacher-student and between students, for the establishment of a process of discussion and development of architectural design. Some limitations were identified and also positive points, such as the possibility to register the whole design process. These registers allow the design teacher to evaluate his own teaching process and improve it and also the visualization of what kind of intervention the teacher makes and when, making it possible to identify the kind of design processes established by the student and the kind of structure of knowledge which is implicit in a process of teaching/learning architectural design according to the level of development of the design.
