This paper consolidates academic studies on knowledge sharing and acquisition. An effort is made to synthesize and establish the research perspectives and the link between knowledge sharing and knowledge acquisition in higher educational institutions based on a systematic review of literature retrieved from sources such as Google Scholar and the various journals listed on Scopus. Many articles were identified that studied these two processes separately. However, the number of works that investigate the relationship between knowledge sharing and knowledge acquisition is extremely limited, particularly in the context of higher education institutions (HEI). This systematic review finds papers that explain techniques of information sharing and knowledge acquisition in higher education institutions and examines the impact of knowledge sharing on knowledge acquisition. The papers chosen draw a link between knowledge sharing and knowledge acquisition and outline the criteria that facilitate knowledge sharing.

The purpose of this study is to review the research on the function and impact of project management offices (PMOs) in knowledge management (KM) and to establish the current body of knowledge by addressing the following questions: What function does the PMO play in the knowledge management process, and what types of knowledge does the PMO deal with? The study includes a systematic literature review for six papers on project management office (PMO) role and impact on knowledge management. PRISMA guidelines were used to select the papers and the research focused on the most important six papers to investigate the research questions. The study findings revealed that PMO plays a vital role in boosting information usefulness by sharing the correct knowledge with the right people at the right time. Furthermore, PMO is important for maintaining knowledge repositories, which comprise knowledge generated from projects in the form of lessons learned, updated project management standards, and individual learning that becomes organizational learning.

Aim: Workplace aggression is a significant problem in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
and internationally. Studies demonstrated that the emergency nurses are the most at-risk group,
among other healthcare professionals, who are exposed to daily aggressive behaviour from
patients, relatives, and other visitors. This study adopts the SCARF model as a long-term
aggression preventive program. The general objective of this study is to measure the effect of
implementing the SCARF model on the perception of aggression among emergency nurses
working in Dubai Hospitals. The specific objectives include measuring nurses’ perception of
aggression, and measuring the effect of implementing the SCARF training on aggression rate
and severity, and performance of emergency nurses.
Method: A quasi‐experimental pre‐test and post‐test design was adopted. One hundred
and seventy (170) emergency nurses (85 in the intervention and 85 in the control group)
participated in this study. The nurses' perception was recorded by the modified version of the
Management of Aggression and Violence Attitude Scale (MAVAS).
Results: The results showed statistically significant differences between control and
experimental groups at p>.001. The results indicated that implementing the intervention in the
experimental hospital had influenced the perception of the emergency nurses. Moreover, the
results showed a difference in both aggression rate and severity of aggression incidents after
implementing the SCARF model. A comparison between aggression rate before and after the
study intervention, the findings showed 42 (28%) reduction of aggression rate. The severity of
aggression incidents were reduced at all levels. There were 71 level 1 incidents reported after
implementing the study intervention compared with 88 before the intervention with 17(16%)
reduction rate. Implementing the SCARF model has influenced the way the participants
managed the aggressive behaviors. The results showed a statistically significant difference in
using new and old management approaches after implementing the study intervention. There
was an increase of 57 (80%) in using new management approaches such as “talked down”,
“negotiation” and “reassurance”; and a decrease of 37 (46%) in using old management
approaches such as “restraints”, “holding”, and “medications”.
Conclusion: The study findings indicated that the SCARF model is imperative to reduce
aggression incidents and develop a plan for preventing, responding to, training and controlling
aggression incidents.

The current study is based on an integrated research model developed by combining constructs from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and other features affecting smartwatch effectiveness, such as content richness and user satisfaction (SAT). TAM is used to locate factors influencing the adoption of the smartwatch (ASW). Most importantly, the current study focuses on factors influencing smartwatch acceptance and use in the medical area, facilitating and enhancing the effective role of doctors and patients. The present study's conceptual framework examines the close association between two-term TAM variables of perceived ease of use (PEU) and perceived usefulness (PU) and the constructs of user satisfaction and content richness. It also incorporates the flow theory (EXP) to measure the effectiveness of the smartwatch. The study also uses the flow theory to assess involvement and control over ASW. The study used a sample of 489 respondents from the medical field, including doctors, nurses, and patients. The study employed a hybrid analysis method combining Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) based on deep learning. The study also used Importance-Performance Map Analysis (IPMA) to determine the relevance and performance of the variables influencing ASW. Based on the ANN and IPMA analyses, user satisfaction is the most crucial predictor of intention to use a medical smartwatch. Applying the structural equation model to the sample shows that SAT, PU, PEU, and EXP significantly influence intention to use a medical smartwatch. The study also revealed that content richness is an important factor that enhances users' PU. The current study could enable healthcare provider practitioners and decision-makers to identify factors for prioritisation and to strategise their policies accordingly. Methodologically, this study indicates that a "deep ANN architecture" can determine the non-linear associations between variables in the theoretical model. Overall, the study finds that smartwatches are in high demand in the medical field and are useful in information transmission between doctors and their patients.

Today, offering customers excellent quality is crucial to the survival of an organization and international competitiveness. Ideally, providing innovative quality enhances the satisfaction of customers and improves institutional productivity. Organizations are seeking to implement quality improvement initiatives, like Total Quality Management (TQM), to offer highquality and innovative services to customers. This research paper's primary objective is to examine the determinants of adopting TQM in healthcare settings and gauge their impact on innovation performance. Self-administered questionnaires applying the drop-off tactic was used to collect empirical data. Senior healthcare practitioners completed questionnaires exploring two variables: innovation performance and TQM. The study analyzed 108 questionnaires out of the 250 questionnaires distributed, representing a 43.2% response rate. Inferential and descriptive statistical analysis methods were applied for data analysis using multiple regression analyses, Pearson correlation coefficient, and principal component analysis. This study's results support the positive impacts of customer focus, employee engagement, process management, organizational culture, top management commitment, and continuous improvement as independent variables on enhancing the innovation practices that improve general innovation performance as the dependent variable. Also, the study established that from the eight TQM implementation factors, customer focus has the highest coefficient value (0.374), thereby presenting the most significant impact on innovation performance. The study has contributed to the existing literature on the correlation between innovation performance and TQM implementation factors which can be used to deliver substantial knowledge to healthcare professionals to improve the TQM practices that they have and successfully enhance the quality of service and realize customer satisfaction.

Recently audio and video material has been used significantly in various online platforms. The audio-video materials enhance the teaching and learning process by facilitating the transformation of
the data and providing a richer interactive environment, hence gaining wide intention within the
educational realm. However, empirical studies have not examined the acceptance of the audio and
video material depending on a conceptual model where acceptance is the key factor. The present
study attempts to overcome this gap in the literature review by investigating the effects of media
richness, speed and vividness, perceived concentration, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness
on the acceptance of audio-video material. What distinguishes the current study is the fact that content richness is considered as a mediator that affects all other factors in the conceptual model. The
data is collected by distributing the online survey to college students. The results provide mostly
insight and support for students’ intention to use audio-visual resources in a conceptual model. The
technology characteristics of speed and vividness as well as TAM constructs were significant predictors of technology acceptance. However, it is concluded that the external factor of the perceived
concentration has no impact on the students’ perception and intention to use audio-visual resources.
In the recommendation, some theoretical and practical implications are stated along with the focus
on technology designers, change managers, and users.

Aim: Comprehending the elements that influence COVID-19 vaccination acceptability and recognizing expediters for vaccination decisions are critical components of developing effective ways to increase vaccine coverage in the general population. This study aims to investigate the main factors affecting COVID-19 vaccination uptake among Dubai 'Airport's employees. In addition, it seeks to explore the main signs and symptoms that appeared on vaccinated employees after taking the COVID-19 vaccination, hence, track the vaccine's safety. Methods: Employees at Dubai's airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), mainly in Dubai, provided data. To gather data online utilising the Google Forms platform, a questionnaire was used as the main quantitative tool. As 2000 questionnaires got distributed, 1007 employees participated in the survey, yielding a 50.4% response rate. Results: The results show that employees overwhelmingly agree with the assertion that the factors of accessibility and affordability have a significant effect on their decision to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, followed by a trust in vaccine, knowledge, vaccine safety, advice and information, and beliefs on the vaccine. In this study, the agreement level on factors affecting the COVID-19 vaccine uptake was found significantly to be higher in females (88.6%) who were married (91.6%) and those aged over 60 years (89.2%) at P <.05. In addition, the results show that 53.7% of vaccinated staff was found to have one or more side effects of the vaccine, where none of them was hospitalized after immunization. The binary logistic regression analysis in this study shows that females were two times more likely to have 'vaccine's symptoms after vaccination than males (Exp (B): 1.6; 95%CI: 1.127-2.351, P< .01). It further reveals that participants in the age group over 50 were three times more likely to have 'vaccine's symptoms after vaccination than participants in the age group 20-29 (Exp (B): 2.9; 95%CI: 2.497-9.681, P< .001). Finally, it indicates that individuals with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection were 2 times more likely to have 'vaccine's symptoms after vaccination than those without known past infection (Exp (B): 1.9; 95%CI: 1.272-2.542, P< .01). Conclusion: There are several factors that playing a significant role in population's decision to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, where the accessibility and affordability factors were found to have the greatest effect on their decision to uptake the vaccine. The current study concluded that COVID-19 vaccination is safe and that adverse effects from a vaccine are usually modest and affected by several factors such as age, gender, and COVID-19 infection history.

The purpose of this study is to investigate students’ intention to continue using online
learning platforms during face‐to‐face traditional classes in a way that is parallel to their usage during
online virtual classes (during the pandemic). This investigation of students’ intention is based on a
conceptual model that uses newly used external factors in addition to the technology acceptance
model (TAM) contrasts; hence, it takes into consideration users’ satisfaction, the external factor of
information richness (IR) and the quality of the educational system and information disseminated. The
participants were 768 university students who have experienced the teaching environments of both
traditional face‐to‐face classes and online classes during the pandemic. A structural equation
modelling (SEM) test was conducted to analyse the independent variables, including the users’
situation awareness (SA), perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, satisfaction, IR, education
system quality and information quality. An online questionnaire was used to explore students’
perceptions of their intention to use online platforms accessibly in a face‐to‐face learning environment.
The results showed that (a) students prefer online platforms that have a higher level of content
richness, to be able to implement the three dimensions of users’ situation awareness (perception,
comprehension and projection); (b) there were significant effects of TAM constructs on students’
satisfaction and acceptance; (c) students are in favour of using a learning platform that is characterised
by a high level of educational system quality and information quality and (d) students with a higher
level of satisfaction have a more positive attitude in their willingness to use the online learning system.

expresses the strongest effect on ARSG adoption with the highest coefficient value of 0.413 (b =
0.413, t = 12.881, ρ < 0.01). Moreover, user intention is significantly impacted by gender and place
of living but not by education or age. The research also provides pre-market insights on users' Personal types that represent who will most likely adopt the new smart glasses and that differentiate
them based on their priorities. To the best of our knowledge, this is among the first works to investigate technology acceptance drivers of AR smart glasses in the Middle East.

The emergence of Covid-19 has accelerated digital transformation, while simultaneously disrupting traditional education. The implementation of distance education practices produced a massive amount of data generated by the deployed learning management systems. Educational data mining tools using machine learning methods can produce thorough student-level insights into what has become known as precision education. This study aims to investigate a convenient approach to analyze a data set of 480 students in the Middle East using three supervised machine learning methods (artificial neural networks, decision trees, and Naïve Bayes) to predict overall performance using SPSS. The findings indicate that the naïve Bayes algorithm achieved the highest accuracy of 89.85%, while the artificial neural networks algorithm achieved the lowest variance, with a standard deviation of 2.37. Besides, there are more valuable insights beyond accuracy that other Machine learning models can provide in the SPSS environment, such as visual representation and normalized importance of independent variables. Moreover, in the context of missing student data, the data set was evaluated if e-learning parameters alone can predict student performance. The findings suggest that e-learning parameters alone can predict student performance with an average accuracy of 84.49%. This study contributes to limit grade inflation in the age of online learning due to educational malpractices.

In the case of compromised databases or interested database managers, CryptDB has been built for validated and realistic protection. CryptDB operates through encrypted data while executing SQL queries. The key concept of the SQL-aware encryption technique is to map SQL operations to encryption methods, adjustable query-driven encryption which facilitates CryptDB to modify the encryption level of data depending on user queries and to alter the data through layered encryption levels in an efficient manner. The systematic literature review in this paper shows that there is ongoing research regarding the implementation of CryptDB in new applications such as cloud computing and management information systems. Experiments are being conducted to improve the encryption schemes and layers to avoid data leakage when CryptDB is applied in dynamic applications. Further, there are studies on alternative query-processing systems to improve the performance and throughput. However, CryptDB is found to be the only practical approach to process the queries for encrypted data.

5G is a revolutionary development in network technologies which is gradually becoming very common among people contributing significantly in different fields such as education, industry, agriculture, health, tourism and military. Currently, 5G is an outbreak change as opposed to the traditional service of the Internet since it offers better quality, ultra-fast connection, low-cost, reduced latency, energy saving, which makes its great impact even greater in people's life. The present study examines various factors that have a significant impact on the Use of 5G in the Gulf area. The study extended the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) to include factors such as Perceived Enjoyment, Perceived Resources and Perceived Skills Readiness. The present research has adopted a hybrid model that incorporates TAM determinants with other external factors which have a direct relation with 5G as internet service. Previous studies have focused on the importance of 5G in different environments and countries. However, this study focuses on the newly spread Use of 5G in the gulf area by adopting a hybrid conceptual model. The findings suggest that 5G may help in promoting the usage of internet service more effectively with its low-cost, faster data transfer and better quality. Moreover, the findings indicate a positive effect of the gender as a mediator between the variables: Perceived Skills Readiness, Perceived Ease of use, and Perceived Resources.

Brands are perceived to possess a personality that consumers choose to self-express and thus create their self-identities. Despite the extensive research that suggests that the self-expression can be a key driver for brand choice and preference, little research has been conducted to understand the role brands play in constructing consumers self-identity. This study attempts to address this gap by examining the relationship between brand personality and consumer selfidentity. Further, the study adopts an international perspective by establishing how consumer cultural orientations can moderate such relationship amongst Chinese and British consumers. The study adopts a quantitative research design and uses an online survey to assess the effect of brand personality on consumer identity. In total, 139 participants took part, with 85 from the UK and 54 from China. A number of statistical tests were conducted, including an analysis of variance, t-test, Cronbach's Alpha and means were computed. The showed that the effect of brand personality was insignificant. However, the results found that the differences between the UK and China were evident. The study offers some managerial advice to brand managers and marketers operating in global markets.

Language disparities in Arabic-speaking individuals with Speech and Language Impairment (SLI) can increase the limitations faced by SLI specialists. There is a need to improve neurofeedback interventions for patients who belong to this group. In contrast to studies that rely solely on behavioral measures, neurofeedback training can capture cognitive changes in response to learning not seen in time or accuracy measures alone. However, rigorous systematic literature reviews on neurofeedback interventions are limited. This research aims to perform a systematic literature review and analyze neurofeedback studies where Electroencephalography (EEG) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) measurements were utilized with the isolation of the effect of a particular behavioral intervention on SLI cognitive profiles. We conducted a systematic literature review of studies on neurofeedback training published between 1992 and 2020. PRISMA guidelines have been used to achieve the review; we choose many keywords to be used in our search. The use of combinations of these keywords in searching of eight digital libraries (Springer Link, Science Direct, PLOS One, Taylor and Francis Online, Wiley Online Library, ISNR online, SAGE Publishing, and Google scholar) generated 155 publications. Out of these, 60 articles were found to be duplicates, and hence, they were removed. Therefore, the total number of final papers that form the primary data for this systematic literature review is 50. We identified 50 studies relevant to the objective of this research. After a rigorous review, we observed that 36 out of 50 (72%) selected studies used EEG or MRI to analyze the effects of neurofeedback on individuals with SLI, and 38% performed comparative analysis and hence improved the quality of their studies. We recommend the standardization of applications of EEG and MRI using BCI methods. EEG and MRI neurofeedback training methods are less expensive and yet more potent compared with pre-existing behavioral intervention and assessment methods with methods that use SLI Neurofeedback.

The aim of this study is to examine Corporate Governance (CG) practices in the Tourism Small And Medium-Sized Enterprises (TSMEs) in Bahrain. In addition, the research sought to clarify the challenges facing the implementation of CG in the tourism industry in Bahrain, as well as the appropriate mechanisms for ensuring the sustainability of CG. The theoretical framework is proposed based on CG agency theory and institutional theory, which helped in identifying the facts that related to the CG at multi-level working of the tourism sector in Bahrain. A qualitative research is adopted, whereas the primary data used in this research are collected through interviews with 10 managers and executives in the banking and finance sector and involved in CG. Thematic analysis is used to analyse the qualitative data. The results highlighted that the relevance and importance of CG for a range of tourism organisations in Bahrain. The results revealed that certain challenges have plagued the organisations seeking to implement CG in their business, including a lack of adequate system and business processes, higher costs, and lack of understanding and assistance from the government. In addition, the results offered several strategies for overcoming these challenges, including training on higher CG awareness, corporate governance mechanisms and audit report timelines, and the removal of unnecessary CG policies and procedures. The present study is an important contribution in the existing stock of CG literature as it helps in listing out the benefits of CG codes in the tourism industry. In addition, this study conveys the potential for driving suitable change in the organisational culture that will help in enhancing and positively shaping prevailing business behaviour.

YouTube and TikTok have gained increasing recognition as social network sites to support online
knowledge acquisition, sharing, and application via social media platforms in the medical field.
This study examines which aspect of TikTok and YouTube stimulates doctors, nurses, and any
other YouTube and TikTok in the medical setting, to rely on them as sources of knowledge acquisition
and sharing to keep their medical repertoire updated. A hybrid model is designed to
investigate users’ acceptance of YouTube and TikTok as social media platforms. The model focuses
on four main external factors: content richness, innovativeness, satisfaction, and enjoyment.
These factors are connected with two TAM constructs which are perceived ease of use and perceived
usefulness. The results have shown that both YouTube and TikTok are affected by PEOU,
PU, personal innovativeness, flow theory, and content richness. Both social media networks provide
up-to-date sources described as useful, enjoyable, and relevant. Nevertheless, the comparative
results have shown that YouTube has deeply influenced users’ medical perception and
knowledge compared to TikTok. It is created for the very mere purpose of socialization and selfexpression.
In contrast, YouTube is used for educational and non-educational purposes due to the
type of uploaded content and time management. Therefore, TikTok developers and influencers
should initiate highly specialized videos and create content that raises awareness of medical field
issues.

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has greatly exhausted and stunned healthcare systems and healthcare workers in many ways. The World Health Organization (WHO) has called for action to address the extreme burden the COVID-19 pandemic places on healthcare professionals. According to WHO, appropriate measures would save lives and prevent significant adverse mental and physical health of healthcare workers. This research intends to assess the levels of depression and anxiety among the healthcare providers working in the Primary Health Care Sector (PHCS) in Dubai. The study further assessed whether the depression and anxiety levels have worsened or improved during the COVID-19 pandemic's peak. Data were gathered from 12 primary healthcare centers and 4 airport clinics (Dubai International Airports) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), particularly in Dubai. A questionnaire as the primary quantitative approach was used to gather required data via an online method using the healthcare providers’ official emails. A total of 401 questionnaires were distributed, and 349 frontline healthcare providers participated, leading an 87% response rate. In this study, a cross-tabulation of the healthcare workers' data with anxiety and depression was carried to determine the correlation between the variables. A chi-square test was used to test the correlation between the variables. The study also employed a dependent sample t-test to assess any significant difference between anxiety and depression levels during the initial outbreak and the pandemic’s peak. The study findings indicated that the COVID-19 pandemic significantly and negatively affected healthcare workers' mental status working in PHCS in Dubai at p-value (.000). It further indicated that during the COVID-19 pandemic’s peak, most of the healthcare providers (45.6%) were in the mild anxiety category, and 36.1% of them were in the moderate depression category. During the initial outbreak, the mean anxiety (5.22) was significantly lower than the mean anxiety (22.68) during the pandemic’s peak (P<.001). The results also indicated that the severity of depression developed from a normal range of depression during the initial outbreak with a mean of 1.63 to mild depression during the COVID-19 pandemic's peak with a mean of 10.63 (P<.001).This study indicated that COVID-19 has a considerable adverse effect on healthcare workers and overburdened them in many ways. The study provided the necessary information on the effect of emerging infectious diseases such as SARS-Cov2 on healthcare workers. It also highlights programs that can prevent mental and physical distress among healthcare workers.

This study aims to investigate the most effective and interesting variables that urge use of the smartwatch (SW) in a medical environment. To achieve this aim, the study was framed using an innovative and integrated research model, which is based on combining constructs from a well-established theoretical model’s TAM and other features that are critical to the effectiveness of SW which are content richness and personal innovativeness. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is used to detect the determinants affecting the adoption of SW. The current study depends on an online questionnaire that is composed of (20) items. The questionnaire is distributed among a group of doctors, nurses, and administration staff in medical centers within the UAE. The total number of respondents is (325). The collected data were implemented to test the study model and the proposed constructs and hypotheses depending on the Smart PLS Software. The results of the current study show that the main constructs in the model contribute differently to the acceptance of SW. Based on the previous assumption, content richness and innovativeness are critical factors that enrich the user’s perceived usefulness. In addition, perceived ease of use was significantly predictive of either perceived usefulness or behavioral intention. Overall findings suggest that SW is in high demand in the medical field and is used as a common channel among doctors and their patients and it facilitates the role of transmitting information among its users. The outcomes of the current study indicate the importance of certain external factors for the acceptance of the technology. The genuine value of this study lies in the fact that it is based on a conceptual framework that emphasizes the close relationship between the TAM constructs of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use to the construct of content richness, and innovativeness. Finally, this study helps us recognize the embedded motives for using SW in a medical environment, where the main motive is to enhance and facilitate the effective roles of doctors and patients.

Customers' satisfaction is one of the most important indicators to identify the hotel sector's service quality level. The study's main purpose was to measure the impact of service quality dimensions on customer satisfaction in the hotel industry in the United Arab Emirates. In particular, this study examines why service quality is a critical determinant of the hotel sector's organisational performance. The study used quantitative methods to achieve the objectives of the research. A self-administered questionnaire was designed to collect the data using the drop-off technique. The questionnaires were distributed to 5000 in-house customers (domestic and international) at the hotels. In total, 3748 customer questionnaires were used in the study, yielding a 75% response rate. In this study, hypotheses were tested through the multiple regression model using SPSS 25.00. Multiple regression analysis showed that tangibles, responsiveness and empathy have significant positive effects on customer satisfaction (β = .120, ρ < 0.05; β = .173, ρ < 0.05; β = .495, ρ < 0.01, respectively). The study found that service quality helped organisations meet customers' needs and expectations and enhanced satisfaction. Organisations could, therefore, achieve improved financial performance by offering excellent quality services that meet customer needs and expectations. Therefore, improving hotel service quality could result in higher satisfaction levels of hotel customers.

The implementation of quality management strategies is a global phenomenon, particularly in organizations in developing countries, who have used different quality management systems to improve the quality of their services and to satisfy their customers. In the healthcare sector, the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) philosophy can help to enhance patient safety and help healthcare organizations improve performance and adopt cost-effective management practices. This research paper aims to identify and measure the Critical Successful Factors (CSFs) that affecting the implementation of TQM in hospitals. A literature review on TQM was examined to identify the CSFs for its implementation in healthcare between 2010 and 2020. In addition, this study employed quantitative methods to achieve its research objectives. A questionnaire was designed to gather empirical data from senior staff in hospitals adopting a self-administered technique to measure the CSFs that affecting TQM implementation. Of the 600 questionnaires circulated in two public hospitals in Dubai, 356 questionnaires were analyzed, producing a response rate of 59.3%. Descriptive and inferential statistical techniques were applied to analyse the data employing central tendency (Mean), measures of dispersion (Standard Deviation) and Principle Component Analyses (PCA). The findings in this study revealed that an effective TQM implementation in hospitals require abundant top management commitment, employee involvement, training and education, recognition and reward, process management, strategic planning, information analysis, organization culture, continuous improvement, and customer focus. The results in this study further indicated that among the ten TQM implementation CSFs, top management commitment and customer focus were found to be the most CSFs affecting the implementation of TQM in hospitals with highest mean value of 4.8 and 4.7, respectively. This study has contributed to the existing TQM literature concerning the CSFs affecting the implementation of TQM in the healthcare context, particularly in hospitals. In addition, the findings of this research paper provide vital knowledge to hospital managers with a precious understanding of the factors that enable TQM implementation in hospitals.

Since March 11th 2020 as the World Health Organization (WHO) has proclaimed Coronavirus Disease 2019 a pandemic, governments have had to implement regulations and policies to prevent the spread of a deadly disease such as hand hygiene practices, wearing masks in public areas, maintaining social distance as well as quarantine or isolation. Current evidence on the 14-days quarantine which is obtained post-travelling is very limited, and this raises some critical questions about the effectiveness of its implementation in the rising COVID-19 infection trend. This study aims to assess the current non-quarantine practice in Dubai for passengers returning from travel, which is expected to enhance tourism in the emirate of Dubai and boost the economy while maintaining community safety and preventing imported transmission of COVID-19. The study adopts a quantitative method using a survey design to accomplish its objectives. A questionnaire is performed as the main quantitative instrument to collect data from passengers who arrived at Dubai airports with negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test at arrival (day 0) and repeated the PCR test on day 5-day 10 from arrival. In this study, all relevant data were accessed using the Dubai airport database, a sample of 574 passengers have been surveyed using a systematic random sampling method. The study findings indicated that the proportion of positive cases on day 5-day10 from arrival was significantly less than 1% (0.00017) with a p-value of 0.0234. Therefore, it can be concluded that the objectives of implementing a 14-day quarantine post-travel were not met when passengers tested negative for COVID-19 PCR upon arrival at Dubai airports. This study contributes to the literature concerning the effectiveness of implementing a 14-day quarantine strategy on passengers who arrive at airports with a negative PCR test result. Accordingly, it progresses on building theory relating to infectious diseases in the healthcare setting. Furthermore, the study assured what are the best preventive measures to be implemented for travelers coming to Dubai airports.

Nowadays, the ability to deliver excellent quality to customers is key to an organization's survival and global competitiveness. Essentially, delivering excellent quality increases customer satisfaction and enhances the productivity of institutions. The implementation of quality improvement initiatives, such as Total Quality Management (TQM), is one way that organizations are seeking to deliver quality services to customers. The main aim of this resaerch paper is to examine the impact of TQM elements on hospital service quality in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), focusing on accredited hospitals in Dubai. The empirical data was collected via a self-administered questionnaire using the drop-off technique. Senior hospital employees filled questionnaires examining two variables: TQM and hospital service quality. Of the 480-questionnaire distributed, 292 usable questionnaires were analyzed, yielding a response rate of 60.8%. Descriptive and inferential statistical analysis methods were used to analyse the data using principle component analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analyses. The results in this study reinforce the positive effects of organization culture, continuous improvement, customer focus, teamwork and participation, process management, and top management commitment, as independent variables, on improving the quality of services delivered by hospitals as the dependent variable. It was also found that among the eight TQM implementation factors, organization culture expresses the strongest effect on hospital service quality with highest coefficient value of 0.373. The research paper has contributed to the current TQM literature regarding the association between TQM factors and hospital service quality that will deliver significant knowledge to hospital managers, to enhance their existing TQM practices and successively improve service quality.

Recently, organizations must look into quality improvement initiative tools for improving organizational performance. Effective quality improvement strategy such as Lean Six Sigma (LSS) practices has a potential to provide improvement and effectiveness in healthcare industry. The main aim of this study is to assess the level of implementing LSS practices and measure its effect on healthcare service quality and patient satisfaction. Data were collected from primary healthcare centers located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Healthcare providers completed a questionnaire measuring LSS practices while patients completed a questionnaire measuring perceived service quality and patient satisfaction. The questionnaires from patients then were paired with the questionnaires from healthcare providers who had attended to the patients. The Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) was used to analyze the collected data. The mediating relationship proposed in the study’s framework were tested using Baron and Kenny model. The results revealed that the application of LSS dimensions was adopted at 92.2% of Dubai healthcare centers. Moreover, the proposed model indicated that service quality fully mediates the effect of LSS practices on patient satisfaction. Additionally, LSS is shown to be positively affect service quality and patient satisfaction and that service quality has a more significant effect on patient satisfaction than LSS strategy.

This study tends to investigate and assess the average waiting time (WT) in Dubai primary healthcare services centers. Healthcare centers will face critical problems if WT is not solved properly. Accordingly, this study tries to dig a deep insight on such problem and provides proper suggestions to reduce WT. An Electronic Medical Record audit is used to count the patients' WT during a four-week period in health care service centers employing a universal sampling approach. All patients who visit the health medical centers during such period are considered for the study purpose except those need emergency services. A self-administered questionnaire is used to collect the needed records about WT longevity causes from direct employees who use to interact patients in a continuous basis. The questionnaires are distributed in 12 healthcare centers throughout Emir-ate of Dubai in UAE. A total of 76,780 electronic medical records are audited for patients and 938 responses are analyzed for the employee survey. The study finds that about 45.2% of the patients were registered within less than 7 minutes of their visit and the mean WT was 11.7 minutes of entrance. While more than two third of them (75.3%) waited less than 30 minutes and the average consultation WT was 34.2 minutes. 65.9% of patients waited less than 28 days to get their appointment and the average appointment WT was 35 days. The data collected from employees denoted that the main causes of patients' WT were high workload level, insufficient work procedure, employees supervisor interaction problems and adequate facilities availability. There is a need for healthcare leaders and managers in charges in this sector to reduce patients' complaints while waiting and to solve the WT problem in a planned manner.

Access to family doctors for consultations is a paramount health policy matter. Accessing
healthcare services is a challenging task as it considers a major barrier to quality care and adversely affects
the quality of service and establishment of a friendly customer relationship. Given the recent concerns
among public policy health advocates and patients regarding long waiting time as well as patients’ lack of
opportunities to book appointments prior to meeting the doctors, this paper explored the views of healthcare
providers and patients in primary healthcare centres in Dubai regarding the need to introduce Hybrid
Appointment System (HAS) which schedules patients attendance by doctors on the basis of their preference
thereby reducing the systems total time loss. This study adopts a quantitative method and a survey research
design to elicit the perceptions of healthcare providers and patients regarding the need to introduce HAS. A
self-administered questionnaire is used to collect data from patients and staff across 8 healthcare centers
throughout Emirate of Dubai, UAE. A total of 1448 patients and 624 staff responses are analyzed. The
outcomes of the study showed that a significant number of patients (74.40 per cent) approved the notion of
establishing the HAS framework. Specifically, Emirati patients including married women as well as welleducated
patients and those aged 55 years and below supported the idea of introducing the system of
appointment. Similarly, a high number of staff in clinics (78.90 percent) also supported the introduction of
the appointment system. The respondents, mainly patients and healthcare providers perceived accessibility,
availability, saving time through reduced waiting time as the central benefit of using the appointment system.
However, they admitted the following disadvantages; difficult to get appointment, now show and it is not
beneficial for patients with acute cases. Nevertheless, the respondents indicated a positive attitude towards
the establishment of HAS, especially in primary healthcare centres in the region. The results of the study will
contribute significantly to a nationwide effort directed to conduct a study and implement the outcomes to
enhance patients' access to Dubai primary healthcare facilities. In this respect, the study provides invaluable
information for policymakers and managers to enable them to design and implement novice methods
efficiently in providing timely access to primary healthcare in the area.

Several research has been conducted on social media application's acceptance, but factors that impact educational purposes are completely ignored in this research. Therefore, the research has been conducted with the purpose of developing a conceptual model, which is derived from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The subjective norm of the study is to find out social media's acceptance in education by students. To find out the exact conclusion, the research follows the questionnaire survey method in which 310 questionnaires were distributed to the students of the United Arab Emirates' well-reputed university. In this questionnaire survey, two famous approaches were used to examine the collected data that is the partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and Machine Learning approach (ML). From the above-stated study, it has been observed that perceived usefulness, subjective norms, and perceived ease of use are proven to be significant measures of student's intention that motivates them to use social media networks for their educational purpose.

The study conducted aims to form a conceptual model to calculate the pupils' acceptance of social media in education and its factors. Although the amount of research done on the acceptance of social media applications has amplified, the factors affecting its acceptance for learning are not recognized. The study is carried out by extending the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) using perceived playfulness and social influence. Alongside this, the collected data is evaluated through Machine Learning (ML) approaches and the partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). A total of 369 students enrolled at highly regarded universities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) filled out questionnaire surveys, then analyzed, and results are stated. This research suggests that students' intention to adopt social media networks in learning is due to significant factors such as perceived playfulness, social influence, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use.
