The aim of this paper is to describe the emergence of contemporary models of the voluntary motor action. This paper describes the best known models, and preservation assessment in conceptual-production system of voluntary motor action. Paper is a review of available literature in the field of apraxia. Reviewing the literature we have found that the originator of modeling of conceptual-production system of voluntary motor action is Hugo Liepmann, that the dominant models of this system is Hailman's and Roy's models, and assessment instruments which are well known are Florida Apraxia Battery and Waterloo Apraxia Battery. The impression is made that, for the future voluntary motor actions studies, it is needed to integrate comprehensive knowledge, derived from clinical studies, testing researches and improvement of conceptual-production systems models, movement researches in functional, practical and social context

The new Law on Social Protection which Parliament of Serbia adopted in March 2011 prescribes for setting up of support services for independent living, including personal assistance, supported housing and provision of training for independent living for persons with disabilities in their respective communities by the local authorities. The authors analysed documents of international law, national legislation and examples of good practices in the field of support services in Serbia: Personal assistant service organized by Center for Independent Living of Serbia, supported housing organized by Association for Promotion of Inclusion in Serbia and day-care centers. Analysis shows that users of the abovementioned Services were satisfied with those services and maintained that such programs should become part of the system of social security of Serbia

The aim of the research: A comprehensive review of the typical characteristics of behavior of people with Rett syndrome through the use of innovative methodological approaches. The tasks of research: Comparative overview of the presence of typical characteristics of Rett syndrome from the aspect of professional and scientific literature and through case study. Research Methodology: meta-analysis, case study, behavior coding. Literature indicates the main characteristics of the functioning of people with Rett syndrome. Among the information obtained from the literature on Rett syndrome and case studie of girl with Rett syndrome, a high degree of correlation has been established.Retov sindrom je progresivan razvojni poremećaj, tokom kojeg nastaje teško oštećenje kognitivni, komunikativnih, motornih i vegetativnih funkcija, dovodeći do teškog invaliditeta.

The aim of this paper is that through theoretical discussion and review of the literature; show the importance of information technology in the process of creative processes in individuals with mild intellectual disability. For the purposes of this study, we used meta-analysis of the literature. We found that the scientific literature rarely deals with the theme of development of creativity through the use of information technology. We conclude that the cognitive system and the creation of systems of creativity are inseparable. Information technology provide new qualitative dimension in the development of creativity in people with mild forms of intellectual disability. Information and communication technologies provide a multimedia experience for people with mild intellectual disability and provide multiple channels of communication. A basic property of a multimedia computer and the receipt of information and its processing is performed belongs to the multisensory level, while the t...

Introduction: Multiple sclerosis is a disease demyelinating disease. Symptomology is diverse, and motor symptoms are strongly present. That is the reason why research of limb apraxia in people with MS started recently. The presence of limb apraxia in some individuals was found, however, the characteristics of apraxia have not been described till date. Therefore, the aim of this study is to describe the characteristics of apraxia in people with MS using Roy’s conceptual-production model of apraxia. Methods: To test this, a sample of 60 people was formed, 30 with MS (age 51.34; SD=7.70 years) and 30 without (average age 50.30; SD=10.47 years), who belonged to the control group. The instruments used were the questionnaire for collecting demographic data and basic disease data from participants as well as the Waterloo-Sunnybrook apraxia battery for assessing the apraxia presence. Results: Limb apraxia was not present for the majority of people. On the basis of the obtained scores, it wa...

Background/Purpose: Prevalence of behavior problems in school children ranging from 8% to 35%. The causes of behavioral problems are often attributed to socio-cultural factors and interpersonal relationships and not to biological factors like neuromotor condition. Neuromotor condition often stay undetected in population of Serbian school children, also relationship between neuromotor condition and behavior problems are not studied. The aim of the research is to verify whether atypical neuromotor condition is important for occurrence of behavior problems. Participants included 256 elementary students from second-, third-, and fourth-grade classrooms. Method: Using the Developmental Screening Test (DST), the children’s neuromotor condition was assessed. Behavioral problems were detected using the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) for teachers. Results: Statistical analysis has shown that behavior problems were more common in participants from the group of atypical neuromo...

Background/Aim. Studies that investigated the presence of soft neurological signs in terms of neuromotor immaturity and impact on the ability of reading, writing and calculation are rare. At school age, cognitive development in children of the typical population is monitored over, while much less was focused on motor development. This is one of the important reasons for conducting this research. The aim of this study is to determine whether neuromotor immaturity of children poses a risk for the adoption of the basic academic skills in school children. Most authors investigated the presence of dysgraphia, dyslexia and dyscalculia in clinically diagnosed conditions. Methods. The data were obtained by testing. To assess neuromotor maturity, The Developmental Screening Test was used. The quality of handwriting was evaluated according to the criteria proposed by Simner and Eidlitz. Quality of reading skills is assessed by the Three-dimensional Reading Test. Evaluation of the presence of ...

The theoretical framework of the research was based on Vygotsky`s statements that a person's disease or injury occurred in some period of life can affect the functioning and development of persons and make it specific. The aim of this research is to form a picture about specific functioning of conceptual-production system of voluntary motor action investigating the sample of persons with multiple sclerosis (MS), as well as to determine whether the presence of disability is better explained by achievements on the scales of Waterloo-Sunnybrook Apraxia Battery, which naturally express quantitative relationship between the achievements of persons with impairments compared to persons of typical population, or by using Roy`s model that reflects the specifics of persons` functioning in terms of conceptualization and production of motion. The sample consisted of 60 people of both genders, from 18 to 65 years. The experimental group consisted of persons who, according to the McDonald`s d...

Cilj rada jeste da se kroz pregled dostupne literature predstave aktuelna shvatanja o multiploj sklerozi. Osim uvodnog opisa bolesti, oblika bolesti, načina dijagnostikovanja, simptomatologije, oštećenja i mogućnosti rehabilitacije, posebnu pažnju u ovom radu poklanjamo mogućnostima za procenu invalidnosti.
