This paper presents a description and evaluation of an innovative teaching experience carried out through a service-learning methodology within the university Degree in Social Education at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). It compiles data collected from 62 students from 3 rd year, who were attending the subject " Socio-educational intervention with adults, elders and people with special needs " in the year 2011-2012 and 2012-2013. The international theoretical basis related to the development and impact of this methodology within higher education, a description of the design and the development of the case of study and a quantitative evaluation are presented in this paper. The results have been analyzed through a questionnaire that seeks the opinion of the students about their teachers. We conclude providing evidences about the impact this learning process has had over the students, mainly in aspects such as involvement, motivation and reflexive attitude.

Resumen El Rock Radical Vasco ha ejercido una influencia notable sobre la juventud vasca a lo largo de las últimas dé-cadas. Éste habría posibilitado el surgimiento de nuevos movimientos sociales que habrían ejercido un gran impacto sociocultural pero también político en el seno de la sociedad vasca. Hablaríamos de un tipo de géne-sis de nuevas identidades culturales y políticas, protagonizada en su mayoría por jóvenes insatisfechos con las estructuras político-económicas hegemónicas, que encontrarían en la música un elemento de expresión, de unión y de acción colectiva. El Rock Radical Vasco representó durante décadas la antítesis a un modelo social, económico y cultural tradicional que tildó al recién nacido movimiento musical de modelo sociocultural trans-gresor y altamente peligroso. No obstante, la influencia del Rock Radical Vasco ha perdurado hasta nuestros días y ha posibilitado el surgimiento y supervivencia de una serie de identidades políticas y culturales que han marcado profundamente la estructura y funcionamiento de la arena vasca de lo social. El presente artículo trata de decodificar de un modo teórico y etnográfico, así como recopilando los testimo-nios de los propios protagonistas, el significado y simbolismo que se encuentra tras este emergente movi-miento musical y político a la vez, en constante expansión durante las décadas de los 80 y 90, además de anali-zar la influencia que ejerció en la arena de lo social y cultural del País Vasco. Abstract The «Rock Radical Vasco» or Basque Radical Rock has had a deep and transcendental influence and impact over the Basque youth in the last three decades. It has directly or indirectly made possible the birth of some new movements of great social and political relevance. These aforementioned movements have been in general leaded by young peers ready to confront the existing hegemonic sociopolitical powers. The «Rock Radical Vasco» organized for long years a fierce resistance against the political, judicial and police structures that tried by all means to criminalize and illegalize what they considered to be a transgressor and highly dangerous movement against their own status quo. The present paper tries to decode some of the key elements behind the emergence and spreading of this musical but also political movement, that so deeply influenced the youth of the time, overstepping the ideological boundaries and limits of the Basque Country. Likewise, we will analyze the transcendental role performed by the Punk movement within the «Rock Radical Vasco. Different sources and experts had been consulted when writing the present theoretical paper to tackle in the most objective manner this yet polemic topic. We will also consider as reference sources some of the most prestigious voices in the field, some of them also being part of the very same process or movement.

El objeto de este trabajo es la conceptualización de la identidad en sistemas educativos multiculturales. Proponemos un estudio sustentado en diversas teorías sobre identidad y su constitución mediante interacciones lingüísticas entre diferentes sujetos, que por lo general darían lugar a diferentes visiones internas y externas sobre el Yo. En este complejo proceso, la lengua no sólo sería un elemento constituyente de la identidad, sino que también tendría un papel esencial como marcador identitario. Concretamente, en contextos educativos multiculturales, las lenguas actuarían como marcadores etnoculturales que definen la identidad. Estos procesos de construcción de la identidad deberían analizarse por lo tanto, junto a su rol en la constitución de estructuras de poder específicas, ya que no todas las lenguas gozan del mismo estatus en una sociedad. El presente trabajo trata estos conceptos teóricos y los compara en relación a dos ejemplos etnográficos: el caso del aprendizaje del inglés en Sri Lanka del alumnado tamil y el ejemplo del aprendizaje de la lengua vasca entre estudiantes inmigrantes. Este trabajo concluye que las lenguas actúan como importantes marcadores de la identidad en aulas compuestas por minorías étnicas, que podrían dar lugar a alianzas y oposiciones en torno a las mismas, generando identidades que denominaremos efímeras.
