<p>Bu arastirmanin amaci ögretmen adaylarinin ögretim materyalleri tasarlama ve gelistirme asamalarinda basta sunum programlari olmak üzere görsel ve isitsel ögretim materyalleri gelistirirken hangi noktalara dikkat ettiklerini ve ne tür güçlüklerle karsilastiklarini belirlemektir. Arastirma, betimsel yöntemin kullanildigi tarama modelinde yürütülmüs nitel bir çalismadir. Arastirmanin çalisma grubunu 32 ögretmen adayi olusturmaktadir. Arastirma verileri açik uçlu soru teknigine uygun olarak yari yapilandirilmis sorulardan olusan bir görüsme formu ile toplanmistir. Toplanan veriler doküman incelemesi yöntemi ile degerlendirilmistir. Sonuç olarak: Ögretmen adaylari sunum programi kullanarak ögretim amaçli materyal gelistirirken görsel tasarim ve mesaj tasarimi açisindan bakildiginda alan yazinda belirtilen ilkelere genelde uymaktadirlar. Öte yandan materyal ile konuyu iliskilendirmede, grup ile ortak karar almada ve temaya uygun animasyon, resim bulmada güçlük yasamakta olduklarini belirtmislerdir.</p><p><br></p><p>The purpose of this research is the design and development stages of teaching materials for teachers using presentation programs to determine which points to pay attention and what kind of difficulties they encountered. The study used a descriptive survey model of the method is a qualitative study was conducted. The study group is 32 student teachers. The research data in accordance with the technique of open-ended questions were collected by using a semi-structured interview consisting of questions. The collected data were evaluated by the method of document analysis. In conclusion, the teaching program using presentation material for teaching purposes is usually abide by the principles set out in the literature in developing the design of the message. On the other hand, linking the issue with the material, the group with a common theme, the appropriate decision-making and animation, stated that they were experiencing difficulty finding a picture.</p><p><br></p

The purpose of this study is to examine students' perceptions of the nature of science and metaphors related to the concept of robot, to determine the differentiation in these perceptions and metaphors resulting from LEGO NXT robot applications, and to share some good examples of education-oriented activities with robots. In this study, a hybrid research method, which is a blend of a qualitative descriptive survey model, pre-test, post-test semi-experimental patterns without controlled group, is utilized. The working groups consist of 48 students, who are volunteers to take part in the research, from 3 different high schools. The data are collected using a " metaphor form " consisting of open-ended questions, utilizing the Scale for Understating Nature of Science. ABSTRACT An increasing lack of interest among teenagers towards a career in engineering and technology is a phenomenon reported in literature. Although there are various reasons behind this fact, misperception about the nature of science and engineering seems to be the predominant cause among the others. In this paper, we are going to discuss the experiences acquired from a project, which has been supported, by Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) within Science &amp; Society Program. The aim of the project is to bring out good samples of teaching activities that integrate technology education with pre-conditions of scientific literacy by focusing on design and engineering exercises to help students develop a positive attitude towards engineering and technology and to eliminate their prejudices and misconceptions. LEGO Mindstorms NXT robots have been used as a suitable platform. The results obtained by pre-test and post-test indicate that the robotic activities within the project contribute considerably to the perception of nature of science positively. A plan to have a wider impact and sustainability will be also recommended by modifying the structure of the project to include activities related to teacher training.
