With the COVID-19 pandemic, distance education has been used to sustain education at all levels of education worldwide. The use of technological tools and software has become inevitable for teachers who use different levels of technological facilities or do not use them at all in face-to-face classroom environments. So, what are the intentions of the teachers, who carry out different educational content on different platforms, to continue their technological experiences in classroom environments these days when they return to classrooms? This study examined teachers' self-evaluations about their technological developments during the pandemic, as well as their intention to continue using technological opportunities in their classrooms in the future. In this direction, the design of the research is embedded single case study within the scope of qualitative research. The data obtained through interviews with 26 teachers were analyzed by content analysis. The findings were evaluated in terms of the technological developments of the teachers in the teaching process, which technological experiences they intend to continue, which ones they intend to abandon, and the reasons for not continuing their technological experience.

Social media is one of the significant developments that the internet has placed at the center of human life. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are social media platforms developed for different purposes and are popularly used today. However, intensive, and uncontrolled use of social media platforms, which people of almost all ages use, causes adverse effects such as technology addiction. Technology addiction threatens younger individuals more. It is necessary to take preventive measures so that these people do not experience physical and mental problems in the future. In this context, this research aims to determine the social media usage status of high school students and examine their technology addictions regarding gender. 85 high school students participated in the research conducted in the survey model. The research results indicate that the most used social media platforms by the students are Instagram and WhatsApp, the purposes of social media usage are watching videos, having fun, and news, and there is no significant relationship between technology addiction and gender.

The STEM education concept, abbreviated to the initials of science, technology, mathematics, and engineering disciplines, is one of the key approaches on the agenda of many countries. The past literature on the subject indicates that STEM education has positive effects on 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific creativity. Hence, this study aims to evaluate secondary school students' hopes and goals for STEM education in terms of various variables. The data of the research, which was designed using the surveying model as one of the quantitative research methods, were collected from secondary school students with the "Hopes and Goals Survey for STEM Education" The findings obtained as a result of the research analyzes were discussed based on the literature, and some relevant suggestions were given.

Digital games are tools where individuals from all ages have fun, socialize, and spend time. They have positive effects as well as negative effects. One of the most notable negative effects is addiction. In general terms, digital game addiction is playing games without control. To that end, this study examines adolescents' digital game addictions by their digital game tendencies, gender, and gaming spending. In this direction, the research sample consists of a total of 191 adolescents, 90 female and 101 male. Descriptive statistics and independent samples t-tests were used in the data analysis. When the digital game-playing tendencies of adolescents are analyzed, it is concluded that the games are generally played on the smartphone, are in the battle royale type, and are played for entertainment purposes. Another result collected in the study is that the mean addiction score is statistically significantly higher for males than for females and for those who spend money on games compared to those who do not. The research results were discussed in relation to the studies in the literature, and suggestions were made.

The three-dimensional design and production technologies are today widely used in many fields. Automotive, health, art and education, and especially architecture and engineering are among the prominent examples. The three-dimensional design technology can be categorized into two dimensions: design and production. The first of these dimensions, three-dimensional design applications and software, is software that can practically transform ideas into realistic and three-dimensional models. The production part, which is the second dimension, covers the processes of physicalizing the designed model with various 3D printers. To this end, this research examines and provides information about three-dimensional design applications and software that can be used in STEM education. In this context, five different basic, intermediate, and advanced applications and software that do not have access problems are included in the research. The examined applications and software are analyzed from various aspects such as ease of use, file format, operating environment, language and platform support, and supported operating system.

Sustainability of education has become of paramount importance during the COVID-19 pandemic at all educational levels worldwide. In this process, the assessment process, which is one of the most important steps of education and teaching activities, started to be applied as online exams. In addition to being compulsory during epidemic periods, the fact that it has various advantages such as reducing costs, suitability for new teaching approaches, preparing a large pool of questions, being time and place independent has led to an increase in the use of online exams. In addition to the advantages that online exams have due to their structure, they have also brought some disadvantages. Some limitations arising from the lack of synonymous proctors during the exam are among these disadvantages. There are a number of digital proctoring tools developed to reduce this limitation. These tools aim to increase exam security by recording the movements of students during the exam process. In this study, information was given about the add-ons used to make online exams safer and more reliable, and a general evaluation was made about the add-ons to provide in-depth knowledge to online exam practitioners.

Bu araştırmanın amacı çeşitli branşlarda görev alan öğretmenlerin STEM eğitimine yönelik görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışmasıyla desenlenmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu amaçlı örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen çeşitli branşlardaki yedi öğretmenden oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin toplanmasında araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubundan elde edilen veriler nitel araştırma yöntemlerinde sıklıkla kullanılan içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucu toplam beş tema oluşturulmuştur. Öğretmenlerin STEM eğitimine yönelik görüşlerinin genellikle olumlu olduğu görülmektedir. Bu bağlamda STEM’e yönelik tanım temasında çok disiplinlilik; öğrenciye etki temasında 21 yüzyıl becerileri; Türkiye’de STEM Eğitimi temasında popülist yaklaşımlar; yapılan yanlışlar temasında anlaşılamama; entegrasyon temasında alt yapı ve donanıma yönelik görüşlerin vurgulandığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Ethics is a philosophical discipline that has a very long history and deals with the compliance of individuals or avoidance behaviors entirely and has many subheadings. Ethical problems created by computer technologies are examined under computer or informatics ethics. Computer ethics is defined as a dynamic and complex field of study that analyzes the relationship between facts, conceptualizations, policies, values and instantly developing computer technologies. Computer ethics are generally categorized under the ownership, accuracy, access and privacy topics. This study aims to investigate the relationship between university students' online unethical behavior and their gender, educational status, and ethics course experience. A total of 530 university students, 269 female and 261 male, constitute the study group of the research conducted with the correlational study model. Research data were collected through the "Online Unethical Behaviors Scale." Independent samples t-test were used in the analysis of the data. The t-tests revealed a significant correlation between gender and online unethical behavior. It was also concluded that there was no significant correlation between online unethical behavior and ethics course experience and educational status. The findings were discussed within the framework of the literature, and suggestions were presented.

FeTeMM (Fen, Teknoloji, Mühendislik ve Matematik) eğitimi son yılların en büyük eğitim hareketlerinden biri olarak nitelendirilmektedir. FeTeMM eğitimi öğrencilere fen, teknoloji, matematik ve mühendislik disiplinlerinde bütüncül olarak eğitim vermeyi amaçlayan, günümüzdeki birçok eğitim hareketini de destekleyen disiplinler arası bir yaklaşımdır. FeTeMM eğitiminde amaç, disiplinler arasında ilişki kurarak öğrenmenin bütüncül bir yaklaşım ile gerçekleştirmek ve yenilikçilik becerileri yüksek bir nesil yetiştirmektir. FeTeMM eğitimi, öğrencileri öğrenmeleri için cesaretlendiren, hayallerine ulaştıran ve öğrendiklerini yeni ve farklı problem durumlarına aktarmalarını sağlayan bir eğitim yaklaşımıdır. Bu da FeTeMM eğitimi almış öğrencilerin günlük hayatta karşılaştığı problemleri çözmelerine ve fikirler üzerinde plan, yorum ve değerlendirme yapmalarına olanak sağlamaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı günümüzde birçok alanda etkin bir akım olan FeTeMM’e yönelik üniversite öğrencilerinin farkındalık durumlarının ortaya çıkarılarak farklı değişkenler açısından incelenmesidir. The purpose of this paper is to introduce an interactive online case-study library website developed in a national project. The design goal of the website is to provide interactive, enhanced, case-based and online educational resource for educators through the purpose and within the scope of a national project. The ADDIE instructional design model was used in the development of the website for interactive case-based library. This library is developed on a web-based platform, which is important in terms of manageability, accessibility, and updateability of data. Users are able to sort the displayed case-studies by their titles, dates, ratings, view counts, etc. The usability test is used and the expert opinion is taken for the evaluation of the website. This website is a tool to integrate technology into education. It is believed that this website will be beneficial for pre-service and in-service teachers in terms of their professional developments.

İnternetin çok geniş bir kitleye zaman ve mekân sınırı olmaksızın hitap etmesi ve web teknolojilerinin hızlı bir şekilde gelişmesi web sayfalarının önemini daha da artırmıştır. İçerik ve tasarım olmak üzere iki temel yapıdan oluşan web sayfalarının sahip olduğu hedef kitle göz önüne alınarak tasarlanması ilgili sayfaların kullanıcılar tarafından daha anlaşılabilir ve kullanılabilir olmasını sağlamaktadır. Literatürde kullanılabilirlik, kullanıcı ara yüzlerinin ne derece kolay kullanıldığını değerlendiren; öğrenilebilirlik, etkililik, akılda kalıcılık, hata ve tatmin edicilik gibi bileşenlerden oluşan bir kavram olarak tanımlamıştır (Nielsen, 2012). Geliştirilen web sayfalarının başta hedef kitle olmak üzere tüm kullanıcı grupları tarafından ek bilgi gerektirmeksizin hızlı ve basit bir biçimde kullanılabilme özelliğine sahip olması gerekmektedir. Bu yüzden geliştirilen web sayfalarının yayınlanmadan önce kullanılabilirlik düzeylerinin çeşitli yöntemlerle belirlenmesi ilgili sayfaların son kullanıcıya daha uygun halde sunulmasına olanak sağlamaktadır. Geliştirilen web sayfaların kullanılabilirlik düzeyleri “Kullanılabilirlik Test Yöntemleri” ile belirlenebilmektedir. Bu çalışma, kullanılabilirlik test yöntemlerinden biri olan deneysel yaklaşım (kullanıcı testleri) ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tasarımın kullanılabilirliği hakkında en gerçekçi verileri veren ve çok yaygın olarak kullanılan bir yöntem olan deneysel yaklaşım,  gerçek kullanıcıları, gerçek bir ara yüzü kullanırken, gerçek görevler ile test etmeyi ve toplanan verileri analiz ederek tasarımı kullanılabilirlik açısından değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır (Çağıltay, 2011). Bu çalışmada, TÜBİTAK 113K302 numaralı proje kapsamında örnek olay kütüphanesi olarak hazırlanmış olan www.fatih2023.net sayfasının kullanılabilirliğini değerlendirmek için konu alanı uzmanlarının önerileri ile 9 maddelik bir görev listesi oluşturulmuştur. Tanımlanan görevler, web sayfasının hedef kitlesini oluşturan 13 öğretmen adayına 2 gözetmen eşliğinde laboratuvar ortamında uygulanmıştır. Oluşturulan görev listesinde belirlenen görevlere ek olarak sitenin genel durumunu ortaya çıkarabilmek için açık uçlu 2 soru sorulmuştur. Katılımcıların gerçekleştirdiği görevler bir ekran kaydedici program aracılığıyla ile kayıt altına alınarak gerçekleştirilen görevler ve ne kadar sürede gerçekleştirildikleri tek tek incelenmiştir. Araştırma bulguları web sayfasının genel anlamda kullanılabilir olduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca, katılımcılar tarafından web sayfasına ilişkin bazı öneriler de sunulmuştur. Katılımcıların yoğun bir şekilde zorlandıkları özelliklerden bazıları şu şekildedir:  1) Web sayfasında yer alan bazı ikonların ne işe yaradığının açıklanmamış olması. 2) Örnek olay ekleme sayfasındaki her sekmenin altında “Kaydet” düğmesinin yer alması. 3) Üye kayıt sayfasında şifre alanının gözüküyor olması. 4) Form öğelerindeki zorunlu alanların belirtilmemesi. Katılımcıların beğendikleri ve işlerini kolaylaştırdıklarını öne sürdükleri özelliklerden bazıları ise şu şekildedir: 1) Arama ve filtreleme bölümlerinin çok işlevsel ve kullanışlı olması. 2) İletişim bölümünün kullanımının çok kolay olması. 3) Üye kayıt sayfası sade ve pratik olması. 4) Sitenin genel olarak sade ve kullanışlı olarak bulunması.

Bilgisayar ve internet teknolojilerindeki hızlı değişim insanların hayatlarında bir takım değişikliklere neden olmuştur. İnsanlar günlük hayatta yaptıkları işleri bilgisayar sistemleri aracılığıyla artık daha kolay ve kısa yoldan gerçekleştirebilmektedir. Tüm bu kolaylıkların yanı sıra geliştirilen sistemlerin kullanıcı odaklı olmaması, kullanıcıların bu sistemlerde sorunlar yaşamalarına sebep olmaktadır. Bu sorunlar kullanılabilirlik kavramını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Kullanılabilirlik, bir ürünün belirli kullanıcılar tarafından belirli amaçlar doğrultusunda etkili, verimli ve belirli bir kullanım çerçevesinde memnuniyetle kullanabilme derecesi olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada kullanılabilirlik değerlendirme yöntemleri ve türleri ile literatürde yer alan çevrim içi öğrenme ortamlarında yapılmış olan kullanılabilirlik çalışmaları ele alınmıştır. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda, incelenen çalışmalardaki kullanılabilirlik değerlendirmelerinin birçoğunun uzman temelli ve kullanıcı testleri yaklaşımlarıyla gerçekleştirildiği görülmektedir.

Today, the need for individuals who follow scientific and technological developments closely and who can adapt to these changes rapidly is increasing. These needs have made it necessary for countries to try various changes, reforms and current approaches required by the age in their education systems. One of these approaches is STEM education, which has frequently been encountered in the national and international literature in recent years. STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education is an approach that emphasizes the 21st century skills, integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines, and covers formal and informal education at all education levels. In addition, the number of studies on STEM education is increasing daily. This research aims to integrate the 8th-grade science curriculum with STEM education practices and examine the effects of these practices on students' problem-solving (PS) skills, scientific creativity, and critical thinking dispositions. In this study conducted with quantitative methods, the pretest-posttest control group design of the quasi-experimental method was used. The study group of the research consists of students who took the 8th-grade science course at a private school. Research data were collected from both the classes before and after the experimental study. Descriptive statistics and covariance analysis (ANCOVA) were used in the data analysis. The research results revealed that integrated STEM education applications positively affect students' problem-solving skills, scientific creativity, and critical thinking dispositions. The collected results were discussed with the studies in the literature, and suggestions were made accordingly.

This study examines the scientific studies on the use of virtual environments and simulation programs in teacher training programs. Firstly, a search was made in the Web of Science database using the keywords simSchool and TeachLive. Four of the studies obtained as a result of the screening were excluded for various reasons (such as duplicate or off-topic publication) and the study was conducted with 22 scientific publications. The research results showed that virtual environments and simulations, which are widely and effectively used in many disciplines, also have a crucial potential in teaching and training. Most of the studies subject to analysis suggested that the use of virtual environments and simulation in education has positive effects such as self-confidence, time management, and classroom management. The research findings were discussed within the framework of the relevant literature, and suggestions were made.

This research systematically examines the experimental articles on STEM education (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education). In this direction, experimental articles with the Social Sciences Citation Index on the Web of Science were analyzed within the scope of research questions, taking into account the guidelines of PRISMA. The research was carried out using the systematic review method. In the first search made in this line, the results listed 17,482 studies. Then, this number was reduced to 34 by applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Finally, the studies were examined in detail, and 12 articles that were not suitable were excluded from the scope. Thus, this research was carried out on 22 articles. In line with research problems, articles were categorized by publication year, country, method, study group and number, data collection tools, data analysis methods, topics covered, and experimental methods. The research results infer that the number of articles increases every year, and Turkey and China are the pioneering countries in this sense. It is noteworthy that mixed methods and quasi-experimental methods are generally preferred in the literature. Contrary to the literature, another result obtained from the research is that teachers are preferred in variable numbers as the study group. Scales, tests, and interviews are the most frequently used measurement tools by researchers. Besides, t-tests and content analysis are used in data analysis. Additionally, various topics are covered in the articles. One of the results obtained from the research is that the effect of STEM education on various skills and achievements is examined more. In line with these results, some suggestions were made by discussing the studies in the literature.

In this study, individuals' trust and verification of social media news and their digital literacy were examined according to the variables of gender, educational status and duration of social media engagement. 174 people participated in the study, which was designed with a cross-sectional design. The results of t-test, ANOVA and Kruskall Wallis-H analysis revealed that gender made a significant difference in digital literacy, corporate and individual trust scores. Educational status produced the same effect in corporate and individual trust scores. According to the findings of the correlation analysis, the duration of social media usage did not cause a significant difference in any of the variables. In addition, while the factors of trusting and verifying were related to each other at different levels, digital literacy was only associated with verifying.

This research analyzed the predictive effect of personality types on online unethical behaviors and the relationship between these two variables. Online unethical behaviors are discussed in terms of gender, educational level, and ethics course experience. The study group of the research conducted in the correlational survey model consisted of 269 female and 261 male university students studying at the associate and undergraduate levels. The research data were collected using the Five Factor Personality Scale and the Online Unethical Behavior Scale. Correlation, independent samples t-test, and stepwise regression analysis were used in the data analysis. As a result, agreeableness and conscientiousness personality types were found to predict online unethical behaviors. Further, the correlation analysis results indicated that all personality types except neuroticism had a negative and significant relationship with online unethical behaviors. Additionally, the t-test results suggest a significant relationship between gender and online unethical behaviors. Overall, the study concluded that there was no significant relationship in terms of ethics course experience and educational level. The findings were discussed within the literature framework, and suggestions are given.

The rising significance of technology in society has caused a surge in the requirement of individuals possessing digital competencies. In the current era, digital skills are progressively vital for both personal and occupational growth. Governments have acknowledged the value of digital competencies and have incorporated them as part of fundamental proficiencies in numerous countries. Pre-service teachers have a paramount role in molding forthcoming generations, highlighting their necessity to possess robust digital competencies. This research centers on how an "Information Technologies in Science Education" course influences the digital competency progression in pre-service teachers. The study deployed a pre-test post-test experimental design with a single group to gauge the course's efficacy in enriching pre-service teachers' digital literacy abilities. The study results show that the IT course designed for the science field had an evidently positive effect on the digital competency of pre-service teachers. The mean scores in the post-test indicate a noteworthy level of digital competency in the study group. Moreover, the study notes the absence of experimental research in this domain, highlighting the necessity of further investigation into this area. The study's outcomes have implications for education of science teachers and the integration of digital technologies. The study recommends that programs for teacher education enable future teachers to develop their digital expertise via courses and training schemes. Additionally, it is crucial to incorporate digital technologies into scientific education to provide pupils with the essential abilities to flourish in a digital world.

In this context, bibliometric and descriptive analysis methods were used in the study carried out with the descriptive survey model. 1970 studies were accessed using the Web of Science (WoS) database to reach the data within the scope of the research. As a result of the filtering process on the database, the distribution of the relevant publications by year, document type, publication language, country and WoS indexes, the most influential institutions and research, cooperation between institutions and countries, the most cited authors, and the most studied topics were reviewed. According to the research results, the studies on blended learning in higher education were primarily published in the form of articles in English between the years 2002-2021. It is also deduced that Spain stands out, especially in producing publications, and these studies are generally published in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index - Social Science & Humanities (CPCI-SSH) index type. The most active journal with high citation density is Computers & Education, and the country that collaborates most is England. Regarding the keywords used in the articles, while the concepts of online learning, higher education, and student participation are prominent in the studies conducted in the first years, the concepts such as flipped classrooms, Edmodo, sustainability, gamification, mobile learning, and emotions came to the fore in the following years. In this context, discussions were conducted within the framework of the literature, and suggestions were made related to the findings obtained.

The young population nowadays extensively uses mobile phones and smartphones. The attractive features that smartphones offer to users have caused a rapid increase in the usage time of these technological devices. This situation has led to the emergence of the smartphone addiction concept. Considered one of the major problems of the 21st century by many researchers, smartphone addiction is an impulsive disorder caused by excessive and uncontrolled use of smartphones. The research aims to analyse university students’ smartphone usage habits and smartphone addiction regarding numerous variables such as gender, daily use time, daily frequency of control, number of social media accounts, and intended use. The sample for the study consists of 366 students. The research data were collected using the Personal Information Form and Smartphone Addiction Scale. The data analysis is done using Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney-U tests. The results indicate that smartphone addiction levels of university students have a significant difference by gender, daily use time, daily frequency of control, and intended use. However, the number of social media accounts did not differ significantly.

This research aims to determine the trends of academic articles about gamification in educational settings and provide a roadmap for future studies on this research topic. Bibliometric analysis methods were used within the scope of the research carried out with the descriptive survey method. Research data were collected through the Web of Science (WoS) database. As a result of the filtering process on WoS, 798 scientific articles were included in the research. In the data analysis process, the distribution of the articles by years, WoS indexes, countries and publication language, the most cited articles and journals, the most collaborating countries, the most co-cited authors and journals, and the most used keywords were examined. The research results suggest that the articles were mainly published between 2012-2022, generally in English, and indexed and published in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI). Spain and the USA are the countries that publish the most, and England is the country that cooperates the most. Computers & Education is the most cited and co-cited journal. The keywords of gamification, higher education, and motivation were frequently used in the articles. The findings were discussed within the framework of the literature, and suggestions were made for future studies.

This research determines the trends of academic articles on distance education in the COVID-19 epidemic and provides a roadmap for possible future studies on this topic. In this context, bibliometric and content analysis methods were used. Research data were collected through the Web of Science (WOS) database. As a result of the filtering process on WOS, 767 scientific articles were included in the research. In the data analysis process, the articles were reviewed in terms of the year, country, journal, publication language, citation, co-authorship, cooccurrence, and co-citation. Research results indicate that the articles were published between 2020 and 2021 and generally in English. "Journal of Chemical Education" is the journal with the most publications and the most cited and co-cited journals. The USA draws attention as the country that publishes the most, has the most citations, and cooperates the most. The most cited article was conducted by Chick et al. According to the co-occurrence analysis, it is seen that the terms "COVID-19" and "distance learning" are frequently used by the authors. The findings were discussed within the framework of the literature, and other studies and suggestions were made.

The aim of this study is to reveal the opinions of teachers and students about the distance education applications carried out in the COVID-19 pandemic, which was identified in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and has spread around the globe in no time. The population of the research consists of 16 teachers and 20 students. The data were analyzed by content analysis technique and divided into themes, sub-themes and codes. It was concluded that students and teachers have positive and negative opinions about distance education activities. The fact that education can be carried out in a planned and scheduled manner even under extraordinary conditions is frequently expressed in positive opinions. Issues such as restricted interaction, infrastructure problems and lack of equipment are among the remarkable negative opinions regarding distance education activities. In addition, opinions have been put forward that distance education will be used more effectively in the future along with necessary improvement and in-service training.

Oyun tasarım unsurlarının oyun bağlamı dışındaki durumlarda kullanılması olarak tanımlanan oyunlaştırma; dinamikler, mekanikler ve bileşenlerden oluşmaktadır. Oyunlaştırma, bir piramit olarak ele alındığında bileşenler bu piramidin temelinde yer almaktadır. En etkili oyunlaştırma bileşenlerinden bir tanesi dijital rozetlerdir. Dijital rozetler, öğrenenlerin çeşitli yeterliliklerini yansıtan bir araç olarak değerlendirilebilir. Bu araştırmanın amacı eğitim ortamlarında dijital rozet kullanımına yönelik öğretmen görüşlerini incelemektir. Araştırma aynı eğitim kurumunda çalışmakta olan, farklı branşlardaki 15 öğretmen ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak yapılandırılmış görüşme formundan yararlanılmıştır. Daha sonra toplanan veriler içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan incelemeler sonucunda öğretmenlerin eğitim ortamlarında dijital rozet kullanımına ilişkin genellikle olumlu görüşlere sahip oldukları görülmektedir. Araştırma sonucunda, dijital rozet kullanımının öğrencilere olumlu davranış kazandırma, derse yönelik motivasyon, derse aktif katılım ve ilgi gibi birtakım avantajlara sahip olmasının yanı sıra öğrenciler arası rekabet ve altyapı sorunları sebebiyle bazı dezavantajları da beraberinde getirdiği ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca katılımcıların büyük bir kısmı dijital rozet kullanımının yapılan bazı değişikliklerle birlikte daha da yaygın bir şekilde kullanılacağını ifade etmiştir.

The computer is part of the information and communication age, and the Internet today is the most used communication tool. Studies have shown that there is a relationship between problematic Internet use and loneliness. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between problematic Internet use sub-scales and loneliness. In this study, data were collected from the college students at an Anatolian University in Turkey. The participants of this study consisted of 392 undergraduates. Of the participants, 43% are male (n = 167) and 57% female (n = 225). The average age for the participants is 22 years old. The Problematic Internet Use Scale and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Loneliness Scale were used as data collection instruments. In the present study, structural equation modeling (SEM) procedures are used to explore the relationships that exist among the variables.  The findings of the study revealed that while university students’ social benefit/social comfort of Internet has a direct effect on their excessive Internet use and negative consequences, it is related to the loneliness level indirectly. In addition, it is seen in the research model that with an increase in the negative consequences of the Internet, the loneliness level was raised. Another result from the study is that when university students’ excessive Internet use increased, their loneliness level decreased.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmenlerin teknoloji kullanımını içeren örnek olaylardan meydana gelen çevrimiçi bir kütüphanenin öğretmen eğitiminde kullanılmasının etkisini araştırmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, geliştirilmiş olan örnek olay kütüphanesi, Coğrafya Eğitimi Anabilim Dalında öğrenim gören son sınıf öğrencilerinin öğretmenlik uygulaması dersi kapsamında kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada örnek olay kütüphanesini kullanımının öğretmen adaylarının Teknolojik Pedagojik Alan Bilgisi (TPAB) ve öğretmen öz-yeterlik algılarına etkisini incelemek için deneysel yöntemlerden “Tek Grup Ön Test – Son Test Modeli” kullanılmıştır. Deneysel uygulama sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının TPAB’a ilişkin PB, AB, TAB, PAB ve TPAB alt boyutlarında ön-teste göre anlamlı bir artış olmuştur. Diğer alt boyutlar olan TB ve TPB’de ise öğretmen adaylarının son-test puanlarında anlamlı olmasa da bir artışın olduğu bulgularına ulaşılmıştır. Benzer şekilde, öğretmen adaylarının öğretmen öz-yeterlik algılarına ilişkin alt boyutların tümünde (öğrenci katılımı, öğretim stratejileri ve sınıf yönetimi) ön-teste göre bir anlamlı olmasa da bir artış olmuştur.

Teknolojideki hızlı gelişmeler birçok alanı olduğu gibi eğitim ve öğretim alanını da doğrudan etkilemiştir. Bu etkileşim, daha nitelikli öğrenci yetiştirilmesi için eğitimcilerin eğitim ortamlarının daha etkili hale getirilmesini gerektirmektedir. Etkili öğretim ortamlarının oluşturulmasında teknoloji destekli araçların kullanılması birtakım kolaylıklar sunmaktadır. Günümüzde, en etkili öğretim materyallerinin birisi ise ilk olarak 1991 yılında İngiltere’de kullanılan etkileşimli tahtalardır. Etkileşimli tahta, genellikle bilgisayar ve projeksiyon cihazına bağlı olarak çalışan ve bilgisayardan düz bir zemine yansıtılan içeriğin etkileşimli bir şekilde kullanılmasını sağlayan bir teknolojidir. Ülkemizde, eğitim ve öğretimde fırsat eşitliğini sağlamak ve okullarımızdaki teknolojiyi iyileştirmek amacıyla başlatılan FATİH Projesi kapsamında eğitim ortamlarında etkileşimli tahta kullanımı, araştırmacıların ilgisini çeken konular arasında yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, eğitimde etkileşimli tahta kullanımı ile ilgili YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi’nde yer alan yüksek lisans ve doktora tezlerini inceleyerek Ülkemizde eğitimde etkileşimli tahta kullanımı ile ilgili araştırmaların eğilimlerini ortaya çıkarmak ve gelecekte yapılması düşünülen yeni çalışmalara ışık tutmaktır. Bu amaçla yapılan tarama işlemi sonucunda ulaşılan tezlerden 49 tanesi araştırma kapsamına alınmıştır. İlgili tezler; türleri, yılları, araştırma yöntemi/deseni, örneklem büyüklüğü, örneklem düzeyi, gerçekleştirildiği üniversite, enstitü ve anabilim dalı, yazım dili, veri toplama araçları, istatistik yöntemleri/teknikleri, konuları ve verilerin analizleri bakımında ele alınmıştır. Çalışılan tezlerde dil olarak genellikle Türkçe’nin tercih edildiği, örneklemin ise genellikle amaçlı örnekleme tekniğiyle seçilen öğrenci ve öğretmenlerden oluştuğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Nicel ve karma yöntemlerin nitel yöntemlerden daha sık kullanıldığı ortaya çıkan bir diğer bulgudur. Tezlerde görüşme, başarı testleri, ölçekler ve anketler sıklıkla kullanılan veri toplama araçları arasındayken toplanan verilerin daha çok nicel yöntemlerle analiz edildiği görülmektedir. Araştırma sonucunda, verilerin analizinde frekans, yüzde, ortalama, t-testi ve ANOVA gibi tekniklerden faydalanılmasına rağmen MANOVA ve MANCOVA gibi ileri düzey istatistik tekniklerinin kullanılmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, harmanlanmış öğrenme ile ilgili YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi’nde yer alan yüksek lisans ve doktora tezlerinin incelenerek ülkemizde harmanlanmış öğrenme ile ilgili araştırma eğilimlerini ortaya çıkarmak ve böylelikle ileride yapılması düşünülen yeni çalışmalara ışık tutulmasını sağlamaktır. Bu amaçla, harmanlanmış öğrenme ile ilgili anahtar kelimeler kullanılarak YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi’nde yapılan tarama sonucunda 27 yüksek lisans, 17 doktora tezine ulaşılmıştır. Ulaşılan tezler; türlerine, yıllarına, araştırma yöntemine, örneklem büyüklüğüne, örneklem düzeyine, gerçekleştirildiği üniversiteye, yazım diline, veri toplama araçlarına, istatistik yöntemlerine/tekniklerine ve bağımlı/bağımsız değişkenlerine göre incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları ülkemizde harmanlanmış öğrenme ile ilgili 2005-2014 yıllarında toplam 44 tezin yürütüldüğünü ve bunların büyük kısmının Türkçe (n=35) yazıldığını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Çalışmalarda bağımsız değişken olarak harmanlanmış öğrenme ortamının (n=16), bağımlı değişken olarak da akademik başarının (n=16) daha fazla incelendiği görülmektedir. Ayrıca tezlerin genellikle lisans (n=27) örneklem düzeyini kullandığı ve örneklem grubu olarak 5 ile 100 (n=39) kişi arasında yoğunluk gösterdiği görülmektedir. Tezlerde ölçme aracı olarak ise örneklem düzeyi ile ilişkili olduğu düşünülen görüşme (n=28) ve akademik başarı testlerinin (n=23) tercih edildiği ortaya çıkan başka bir bulgudur.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, online exams have become an indispensable part of distance education. Measurement and evaluation, which is one of the most important parts of education, has become more controversial with distance education. Contrary to traditional assessment and evaluation, online assessment and assessment are usually carried out as assignments, projects or online exams given to students through the learning management system. In the absence of a supervision mechanism or live supervisors in the learning management system, exams are conducted without supervision. This is where online exams are the most controversial. Many instructors find unsupervised exams insufficient in terms of reliability and validity.
