This study examines the effect of some economic and non-economic factors on corruption.  It tests a number of hypotheses formulated around the impact of specific dimensions on increasing or reducing corruption in the Middle East and North Africa Region over a time series from 2008 to 2018. The objective of this study is to illuminate the impact of several independent factors (average income, economic freedom, education, income distribution and globalization) on corruption increase or decrease in the MENA region taking a few countries as a sample case. To reach this end, secondary data is employed and retrieved from secondary sources using published reports and indexes and official websites and databases maintained by various research institutions. The results are tested using panel data regression analysis as a statistical tool for data analysis and hypotheses testing. Findings indicate a significant effect of the presented economic and non-economic determinants on corruption in the...

The main objective of this study is to investigate the impact of external funding flow on Jordan’s GDP (1997 – 2017) focusing on variables such as; grants (GR), soft loans (LN), foreign direct investment (FDI), and the Jordanian migrant worker's remittances (JMWR) on Jordan's GDP which represent the dependent variable through using the E -Views statistical program and multiple regressions analysis. Previous studies showed the significant and non-significant impacts of the flow of external funding on the economy. In this study the researchers analyzed the impact of external funding flow on Jordan's GDP for the period (1997-2017) and found that grants (GR) and foreign direct investment (FDI) have a statistically significant impact on Jordan's GDP; in contrast, soft loans (LN) and the Jordanian migrant’s worker’s remittances (JMWR) have no statistically significant impact on Jordan's GDP for the same period. This study filled the gap and expanded the analysis to tes...

The purpose of the current study was to determine the optimal treatment duration of high-voltage pulsed galvanic current (HVPC) in treating chronic pressure ulcers. Sixty volunteers suffering from chronic pressure ulcers participated in the study for a treatment period of five weeks. They were divided randomly and equally into four groups (three treatment groups and one control group). Patients in the treatment group (G1, G2, G3) received HVPC respectively for 45, 60, and 120 min seven days a week, while patients in the control group received sham HVPC (45 min, seven days a week). The wound surface area (WSA) was used to measure outcomes before starting the study and after three and five weeks' treatment. It was found that there was a significant reduction in WSA in G2 (60 min) and G3 (120 min) compared to G1 (45 min) and the control group (sham HVPC). There was no significant difference between G2 and G3. Application of HVPC for 60 and for 120 min, seven days a week, therefore proved to be the optimal duration for enhancing chronic dermal ulcer healing.

The reaction between Ni(II), Co(II), cr(III) bitrates, Ni(II) chloride and ambidentate a-keto ylide benzoylmethylenetriphenylphosphine (BPPY) resulted in isolation of [Ni(BPPY)2](NO3)2.2H2O, [Ni(BPPY)2]Cl2, [Co(BPPY)2](NO3)2 and [Cr(BPPY)3](NO3)3; 2H2O. The compounds were characterized by elemental analyses and infrared 1HNMR spectroscopy, molar conductivity in solution and molecular weight measurements.

In this paper the color images with low lightness has been enhanced by using Modified Retinex and histogram equalization (MRHE) algorithms Dependingon a bright channel prior . This algorithm treats the lightness component in YIQ color space that is transformed using bright channel prior, and then the chromatic components get form traditional Multiscale Scale Retinex algorithm with Color Restoration (MSRCR). Then apply the histogram equalization, after using invers transform, this algorithm enhanced lightness and contrast in all regions with low or high lightness. This algorithm is camper with MSRCR and HE, to examine the efficiency of it, weused the metrics depending on the relationship between the mean and the average of standard deviation for enhancement images.

The aim of this study was to identify the impact of HR activities on competitive advantage in private schools. The study uses primary data collected with the help of a well-structured questionnaire that was developed and distributed among a sample of 92 respondents (49 female and 43 male), questionnaire results were statistically analyzed to test the hypotheses that were developed to identify the impact of HR activities on competitive advantages. Multiple regression analysis was used as a statistical tool and technique to identify five key elements: recruitment and reward system, training and skill development activities, organization climate, employee participation and empowerment; and effective communication system to determine competitive advantage in private schools in Jordan. The results indicated that there is a statistically significant effect of HR activities on the competitive advantage; On the other hand, there is no impact of other variables.

Five Saccharomyces cerevisiae isolated from the ability of chitinase production from the isolates were studied. Quantitative screening appeared that Saccharomyces cerevisiae S4 was the highest chitinase producer specific activity 1.9 unit/mg protein. The yeast was culture in liquid and solid state fermentation media (SSF). Different plant obstanases were used for (SSF) with the chitine, while liquid media contained chitine with the diffrented nitrogen source. The favorable condition for chitinase producers were incubated at 30 ºC at pH 6 and 1% colloidal chitine.
