Este estudo tem como proposta dialogar sobre a difusão das boas maneiras por meio de manuais de leitura e ensino, em especial nos manuais da “Coleção Biblioteca de Orientação da Professôra Primária” do Programa de Assistência Brasileiro-Americana ao Ensino Elementar (PABAEE-INEP), entre os anos de 1956-1964. No sentido de refletir sobre tais leituras inseridas como mecanismos de circulação e difusão de modos desejados para constituição de uma sociedade moderna, buscou-se vislumbrar interfaces entre os manuais da referida Coleção e manuais de autoria norte-americana, comercializados no Brasil no mesmo período, com vistas a evidenciar como a escolarização se inscreve em determinados projetos de sociedades e seu processo civilizador. Tal estudo buscou dialogar com pesquisas no campo da História da Educação, em especial a escolarização entrevista pelas relações entre os materiais de formação produzidos dentro e fora do âmbito escolar.

Background Literature searches underlie the foundations of systematic reviews and related review types. Yet, the literature searching component of systematic reviews and related review types is often poorly reported. Guidance for literature search reporting has been diverse, and, in many cases, does not offer enough detail to authors who need more specific information about reporting search methods and information sources in a clear, reproducible way. This document presents the PRISMA-S (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses literature search extension) checklist, and explanation and elaboration. Methods The checklist was developed using a 3-stage Delphi survey process, followed by a consensus conference and public review process. Results The final checklist includes 16 reporting items, each of which is detailed with exemplar reporting and rationale. Apresenta-se inquérito feito com diretores de escolas públicas de Ensino Fundamental e EJA - Educação de Jovens e Adultos de Diadema/SP quanto à ocorrência de violência e uso de álcool e drogas. Responderam 59 escolas (83,1%), em 60% houve ao menos um evento de violência, sendo a mais comum a violência familiar: física (59,2%) e sexual (51,0%). Constatou-se a ocorrência de 20% de casos de violência racial, 10% de homofóbica e cerca de 5% contra meninas. Nas faixas etárias de EJA triplicam essas ocorrências. Bebidas alcóolicas dentro da escola ocorreram em 23,1% das escolas pesquisadas que possuem Ensino Fundamental 1 e uso de drogas ilícitas, incluindo o tráfico, em 42,9% das escolas que contam com classes de EJA; 55,1% fazem ações preventivas quanto à violência e drogas, porém necessitam para ampliar encaminhamento e notificações de protocolos de atuação intersetoriais de orientação.

Resumo: Discute-se a criação de um protocolo escolar visando à prevenção de problemas de saúde e violência fruto de situações que envolvem drogas legais e ilegais. Partindo da recomendação do Ministério da Saúde de adoção da abordagem de redução de danos, orientam-se princípios, diretrizes e encaminhamentos práticos para todas as 59 escolas da Secretaria de Educação de Diadema, buscando padronizar e dar suporte à pouca formação dos educadores sobre o tema. Considera-se que essa iniciativa promove ações mais pedagógicas e atende às recomendações do Ministério da Educação para o enfoque realista do tema e para o fortalecimento e instrumentalização dos educando sem lidar de forma crítica e autônoma com a presença dessas substâncias em suas vidas e meios sociais. Também previne violências institucionais que a escola possa cometer contra alunos quando reproduz discursos repressivos.Palavras-chave: violência, drogas, saúde, escola, prevenção.

Interessa a este artigo refletir sobre o ensino de atualidades e do tempo presente numa perspectiva interdisciplinar e transdisciplinar, tendo como referência a análise de algumas práticas docentes de professores da rede privada de São Paulo. Pensar as implicações do ensino do presente, necessariamente, remete às preocupações de educadores que buscam enfrentar a polarização ideológica e a conjuntura de pós-verdade, que marcam os desafios da contemporaneidade. O artigo estabelece críticas às noções de neutralidade, imparcialidade e verdade absoluta. Por fim, convida o professor para adotar um projeto educacional voltado para uma atitude contemporânea frente à provisoriedade das análises acerca do tempo presente. O estudo analisa como a produção cinematográfica brasileira está construindo a memória histórica referente ao regime militar (1964 – 1985). Partindo do princípio de que amemória é um fenômeno construído e que, portanto, o cinema seleciona aquilo que deseja solidificar na memória de um grupo, procuro analisar criticamente quais temáticas estão sendo valorizadas – ou, contrariamente, esquecidas – pelo cinema nacional, referente ao período da ditadura militar. Considerando, ainda, a impreterível necessidade de se associar as representações sobre o regime militar às condições de produção das obras cinematográficas, procuro situá-las em dois blocos temporais distintos: um deles que marca o início do período conhecido como “Retomada”, nos anos 90, e o outro referente aos dias atuais. A partir desta diferenciação, busco apreender as representações elaboradas para o período citado e suas relações com os contextos de produção dos filmes.

Public scrutiny and the need for funds in a more competitive environment are pressuring nonprofits to be more consciously aware of their reputation. This study used automated analysis with text mining and topic modeling of 177 articles directly linked to nonprofits’ reputation and published up to 2016. After identifying the most salient topics and conducting an in-depth, critical review of the most significant articles within each topic, four theoretical and managerial implications were identified. First, managers need to develop skills to deal with risk, the Internet, and social networks. Second, risk management is an emergent, still tentative, but important topic waiting for more contributions. Third, researchers can apply lexicons developed and validated by experts to uncover knowledge relevant to the entire nonprofit sector’s organizations. Last, the trends and topics highlighted can help scholars and practitioners make better decisions in research or responses to management challenges.

The emergence of synthetic cannabinoids (SCBs) as drugs of abuse in readily available "Spice" smoking blends has exposed users to much more potent cannabinoids than the phytocannabinoids present in Cannabis sativa L.. Increasing reports of adverse reactions are emerging in the clinical literature. SCBs may disrupt the endocannabinoid signalling, which has been shown to be crucial within human endometrium remodelling process. Within this study, a telomerase-immortalised human endometrial stromal cell line (St-T1b) and primary human decidual fibroblasts (HdF) were used to determine the impact of SCBs JWH-122, UR-144 and WIN55,212-2 (WIN) on endometrial stromal cells. Our findings indicate that JWH-122 and UR-144 (0.01-25 µM) induce prompt ROS/RNS formation and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress without reduction in cell viability. Disturbances in the normal functions of the ER lead to cell stress response, which is after compensated with the increase in reduced/oxidized glutathione ratio (GSH/GSSG). Instead, WIN induces ER stress, mitochondrial dysfunction and apoptotic cell death. The addition of the CB1 antagonist AM281 significantly reduces the effects on cell viability, suggesting that CB1 plays a key role in WIN-induced apoptosis. Collectively, our data suggests that SCBs have dissimilar effects on human endometrial stromal cells and, thus, may impact human reproductive function through distinct mechanisms that are crucial for the understanding of the pathophysiological outcomes from its abuse.

The aim of this work was to determine the persistence of auxinic herbicides applied on tropical pasture and toxicity for succeeding crops. The herbicides were applied in an area of dystrophic red‒yellow latosol with pasture infested of weeds. At 40, 80, and 280 days after application of herbicide, the soil samples were collected at depths of 0 to 20 cm. Soil with residues of 2,4-D, 2,4-D + picloram, triclopyr, and a soil without herbicide application were analyzed with six replicates. Seven crops were cultivated in these soils: cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.), velvet bean [Mucuna pruriens (L.) DC.], pigeon pea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.], alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.), lablab bean [Lablab purpureus (L.) Sweet], corn (Zea mays L.), and sorghum [Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench]. The plants of cucumber, pigeon pea, and alfalfa were the most susceptible to the auxinic herbicide residues. Caesalpinia echinata seeds deteriorate in less than three months at ambient temperature, although they can remain viable for up to five years when kept under freezing temperatures. We studied the deterioration of brazilwood seeds when submitted to different conditions of temperature and humidity aiming to check the applicability of mathematical models for predicting loss of viability of those seeds. The results showed that the high temperatures preconized for the rapid deterioration and simulation of storability produced an irregular behavior, suggesting that the deteriorative metabolism of these seeds may not correspond to the metabolism during the natural storage. Applying the equations, seeds with 8% water content stored at 7 ºC could be stored for five years, while the literature shows that these seeds would not tolerate more than a year. Resumo A intenção deste artigo é identificar alguns desafios que marcaram o trabalho de operadores de câmera e cinegrafistas que atuaram no cinema paulista, entre as décadas de 1920 a 1940. Nesse período, a produção não ficcional, conhecida como "natural", se intensificou como resultado da chamada "cavação". Isso ocorreu, em parte, para atender as demandas de uma elite econômica e da propaganda do governo que brotavam das necessidades de registrar símbolos e práticas de poder. O recorte da análise partirá de alguns desses filmes e das primeiras experiências de documentários produzidos entre as décadas de 1920 e 1940, para a Prefeitura Municipal de São Paulo. Defendemos que un marca individuação: tanto forma NPs denotando um só indivíduo de certa classe (um exemplar da espécie vaca, em un báka) quanto um comparativo de igualdade, marcando a unicidade do grau de altura atribuído a pessoas distintas (cf. Nhós tem un altura, "Vocês têm a mesma altura"). A unicidade contribuída por un pode ainda vir associada a uma condição ímpar, como em uma bruta sónu ("um baita sono"), em que o grau de sonolência é único por ser excepcional. Guided by the recomendations of Health Ministry at the adoption of the Harm Reduction emphasis, it guidelines orientations and practical referrals to all the 59 schools of the Diadema's Secretary of Education, in order to support the educators about the theme. The commercially available diagnostic tests for Chagas' disease employ whole extracts or semipurified fractions of Trypanosoma cruzi epimastigotes. Considerable variation in the reproducibility and reliability of these tests has been reported by different research laboratories, mainly due to cross-reactivity with other pathogens and standardization of the reagents. The use of recombinant antigens for the serodiagnosis of Chagas' disease is recommended to increase the sensitivity and specificity of serological tests. Expressed in Escherichia coli, as fusion products with glutathione S-transferase, six T. cruzi recombinant antigens (H49, JL7, A13, B13, JL8, and 1F8) were evaluated in an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for Chagas' disease. Plants have the ability to undergo morphophysiological changes based on availability of light. The present study evaluated biomass accumulation, leaf morphoanatomy and physiology of Neonotonia wightii andPueraria phaseoloides grown in full sunlight, as well as in 30% and 50% shade. Two assays were performed, one for each species, using a randomized block design with 10 replicates. A higher accumulation of fresh mass in the shoot of the plants was observed for both species under cultivation in 50% shade, while no differences were detected between the full sunlight and 30% shade. N. wightii and P. phaseoloides showed increase in area and reduction in thickness leaf when cultivated in 50% shade. There were no changes in photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, water use efficiency and evapotranspiration of P. phaseoloidesplants because growth environment. M. tuberculosis-positive cultures were obtained from 228 patients seen in our service and drug sensitivity assays were carried out from January 1992 to December 1994. A survey of the medical records of these patients showed resistance to one or more drugs in 47 (20.6%), 25 of whom (10.9%), who reported previous treatment, were considered to have acquired resistance. Among the antecedents investigated, only previous treatment and alcoholism were the factors independently associated with the occurrence of resistance. The survival of patients with resistant strains was lower than that of patients attacked by non-resistant M. tuberculosis. We conclude that in the present series M. tuberculosis resistance to tuberculostatic agents was predominantly of the acquired type.

Cryptosporidium sp., a coccidian parasite usually found in the faeces of cattle, has been recently implicated as an agent of human intestinal disease, mainly in immunocompromised patients. In the study realized, by an indirect immunofluorescence technique, specific immunoglobulins (IgG and IgM) have been demonstrated in human serum against Cryptosporidium oocysts. Purified oocysts were used as antigens in the indirect immunofluorecence assay. After analyzing this test in sera from selected groups of patients, the frequency of both specific IgG and IgM of immunocompetent children who were excreting oocysts in their faeces was 62% and in children with negative excretion of oocysts was 20% and 40%, respectively. In adults infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and who were excreting Cryptosporidium in their stools, the frequency was 57% for IgG but only 2% for IgM.
