    ABSTRAK Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di MTsN Mulawarman dihadapakan pada permasalahan bahwa siswa kurang menguasai kosakata Bahasa Arab yang merupakan salah satu unsur utama dalam belajar bahasa Asing. Hal ini disebabkan penggunaanmedia konvensional dalam menjelaskan makna kosakata, selain kurangnya waktu yang tersedia. Sehingga hal ini berpengaruh terhadap aspek psikologis siswa yang merasakan kebosanan. Akibatnya penguasaan dan perbendaharaan kosakata mereka rendah dan sedikit. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut dan potensi yang ada, belajar sambil bermain dengan multimedia interaktif secara mandiri merupakan salah satu solusinya.     This paper discusses the difficulties of Arabic department students when dealing with Tarkîb al-Marfû’ât subject and the using of Zoom/forced technology due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Using the qualitative approach, this paper aimed to explore whether students were negatively impacted by switch of learning mode to online. Interviews were conducted to nine students who live in remote areas, and it revealed that those students experienced delay in learning the subject due to their lack of the internet availability. Teaching activities were not optimal due to signal interference so that the exposure to the relevant material was not comprehensive. Moreover the students also lacked understanding to the subject because of the specific difficulty level of the subject.     This study aims to examine the effect of reading Quran ability on reading skills, the effect of vocabulary mastery on reading skills, and the effect of reading Quran ability and vocabulary mastery on reading skills students at the Islamic senior high school Amuntai. This type of research is a survey, and the approach used in this research is quantitative. The population of this study was all students of Class XI majoring in MIA at the Islamic senior high school 1 HSU, the Islamic senior high school 2 HSU, and the Islamic senior high school NIPA RAKHA Amuntai, totaling 240 people, and with the sampling technique 25% of the existing population as many as 60 people.     Learning Arabic is more dominant as a skill than a Science. The learners’ goals are able to use Arabic both spoken and written well and correctly. While HOTS is more dominant in requiring learners to think integrally. Therefore, it is important to consider the extent to which the Ministerial Regulation accommodates HOTS through a study of the basic competence of Arabic contained in it. This study is a literature review of the basic competence of Arabic in the Decree of the Minister of Religion (KMA) number 183 in 2019 in HOTS perspective. The object of this study is the basic competence of Arabic in KMA 183 in 2019. The result shows the basic competence of Arabic in KMA 183 in 2019 to accommodate the ability in higher order thinking such as problem solving, critical thinking, and reasoning. While the Basic Competence in KMA didn’t achieve creative thinking and decision making.

    The research employed a research and development method modified from Borg and Gall, consisting of needs assessment, design, and development. The research objectives were to portray the material of teaching Arabic written in class ten at Islamic senior high school and design a model of enrichment material graded and used independently for the students who graduated from public junior high schools. The study showed that the students who graduated from public junior high school and continued study to Islamic senior high school must be assisted by an enrichment material for their independent study because the existing material did not match their previous knowledge.
