The aim of this paper was to investigate the information seeking behavior and ICT utilization skills of undergraduate law students from the Faculty of Law at Adekunle Ajasin University in Ondo State, Nigeria. Purposive sampling was used to select the law students. The sample size consisted of 356 law students. The findings revealed that the respondents’ main reason for seeking information was to become more knowledgeable about legal issues. Most respondents favored traditional information sources and services such as textbooks, books on legal issues, and the law library. The majority preferred to use both print and electronic sources. Awareness of electronic resources was low, with most respondents unaware of their existence. The Internet was only used “when necessary”, while Internet access was mainly through the use of mobile phones. The majority of the respondents had taught themselves Internet searching skills prior to attending university.

The review forms an important chapter in a thesis where its purpose is to provide the background to and justification for the research undertaken. It is not a chronological catalog of all of the sources, but an evaluation, integrating the previous research together, and also explaining how it integrates into the proposed research program. Literature reviews help us to see the full picture and uncovering new evidence on relevant topic. It encourages objective thinking, and systematic approach to the research undertaken. A good literature review requires the ability to conduct exhaustive bibliographic searches, ability to organise the collected data meaningfully, describe, critique and relate each source to the subject, and present the organised review logically, and lastly also very important, to correctly cite all sources mentioned. 2. The information environment has greatly impacted on teaching, learning and research methods of higher education worldwide and India is no exception. The new technologies have facilitated smooth and systematic transformation of data into digital format. This has changed the process of access, retrieve and use of information by students and researchers. The purpose of this study is to examine the information seeking behaviour of students of two law colleges of Mumbai. To understand the information seeking behaviour of law students the concerned literature has been reviewed and questionnaire was randomly distributed to get the responses. The study mainly concentrates on frequency of visit to the library, purpose of information seeking, computer acquaintance, amount of time spent on information gathering activities, problem faced in information seeking, etc. The results of the study reveal that books are still most heavily used resources by the students. Majority of the students are familiar with using offline and online legal databases. However, the students of both the colleges face the problem of information overload on internet and lack of skills to search information. Hence, the study recommends that formal users training programme shall be conducted to optimise the use of information sources and services.
