Technology is advancing swiftly, acceptance and adoption of such advancements by the society is blurred. This study examines technology acceptance and adoption of internet banking by medical officers in North Central Province in Sri Lanka. The study was primarily grounded on technology acceptance model and empirical data collected from the 124 respondents. Data analysis comprised statistical tools including correlation and regression analysis. The result reveals that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, security and privacy have a significant influence on acceptance and adoption of the internet banking. The acceptance and adoption of new technologies could be encouraged by building better awareness among the potential users.

The Small and Medium scale Enterprises (SMEs) have contribute economic development of country and generate new employment. This causes of generation of income and contribution of social activities and poverty reducing. Technology advancement highly impacts each and every part of the world. Advancement of technology affects to all of the business and it highly influence to the SMEs. Growth of SMEs with the technology in Sri Lankan context is blurred. Therefore, this study was primarily grounded on usage of Computerized Accounting Systems (CASs) and identify the factors that influence on Usage of CASs on SMEs. The study collected empirical data from the 100 SMEs in the North Central Province and bivariate analysis and factor analysis were used for the further analysis. The factors cost, business size, infrastructure, government support, management support, external environment and perceived ease of use were identified in literature. According to the findings it was revealed that 40% SMEs adopted CASs for keeping accounting records. There is no significance influence from demographic variables on usage of CASs and there is significant influence on use of CASs only the factors business size, business cost and external environment. Hence, the software development cost of CASs should be reduced by development companies by providing variety of options to SMEs and the acceptance of new technologies could be encouraged by given that better awareness of competitive advantages of CASs to SMEs.

Undergraduates have to get-up to date, quickly and accurate information mixing with digital/online tools to fulfill their information gap. The aim of this research was to find which factors affect to undergraduate online/digital information seeking behavior of Sri Lanka. The study is compiled with data gathered from questionnaires of 150 undergraduate from three Universities. Research mainly, focused on the models of Information seeking behavior and technology acceptance. Ease of use of technology, Usefulness of technology, Information need and information use were considered as independent variable and all of them are positively correlated and are identified as significant with the behavior of online information seeking. The relationship between Information need and information seeking behavior on digital/online environment shows the highest positive correlation coefficient. Undergraduates seek more information on line information on digital/ online environment. Therefore, traditional universities should provide more online facilities for undergraduates to improve their knowledge and skills.

Information systems play a vital role in today's business world. Literature reveals that information systems are not success in every context due to various reasons. Although several conceptual and empirical studies have addressed these issues, their findings are inconclusive. Studies that have investigated the use of success of information systems in Sri Lankan context are rare and very limited. Therefore, this study aims to identify the factors that effect on success of information system usage in the government sector organizations in Sri Lanka. A sample of 96 information system users in government organizations in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka was selected using purposive sampling. A questionnaire survey was administered in the data collection. Data analysis consists of descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results reveal that information quality, system quality and user quality have significance effects to the effective use of information systems. The study stresses the necessity of improving the quality of information in the information systems to enhance the ease of use, reliability and security. Moreover, government should employ well qualified staff and trained them regularly to ensure the quality of service provided through the information systems.

In the current context, use of pirated software is increasing and it is becoming a critical issue to the economy of the world. Though use of pirated software is an unethical and illegal activity most of the university students addict to use that type of software using various methods. It is not clear of reasons of using pirated software by students. This study examines the students' intention to use of pirated software among university students in Rajarata University of Sri Lanka (RUSL). Pilot phase reveals that 96% of students of the RUSL use pirated software. Based on the result of former studies self-administrative questionnaire was developed. Data were collected from 142 students using purposive sampling technique of the faculties Applied Sciences, Management Studies and Social Sciences and Humanities in RUSL. Research Model was developed on software piracy including Intension to use pirated software as dependent variable and Computer Experience, Attitudes, Awareness, Social Influence and Moral Obligation as independent variables. The results reveal that Computer Experience, Attitudes, Awareness of software and Social Influence positively affected to the use of pirated software while Moral obligation is negatively affected. Students should be enlightened about the consequences of use of pirated software to the economy of the country. Also, they should be informed that use of pirated software is an illegal activity. Results of this study is limited to undergraduates of Mihintale premises of RUSL and to generalize and validate the results more researches are needed with wider sample of selecting all national universities in Sri Lanka and selecting students who belong to other domains.

This study investigates the consequences cash flows and their impact on business financial success under firm's stability, liquidity and profitability which show the investment and its final outcomes. Three different consequences from stability, liquidity and profitability related paradigm are anticipated firm financial strategy, accounting and financial misconduct and investment consequences. These are in the business context found to practice from different strategy. Among the firm strategy, cost leadership heavily affect the strong positive cash flows. On the other hand differentiation strategy faces longer investment consequences and greater stability and liquidity of cash flows. Nevertheless, the investment consequence was ephemeral for any strategy. However portal point is sufficient cash flow need to be generating within the business unit. In the cost leadership or differentiate urged to fulfill investment criterion.

Technology becomes a part of the human life and it has significantly changed cultural norms of behavior of individuals. One of the popular applications of the technology is the smartphone and it has affected work of students' behavior. Therefore, the objective of this study is to identify the factors influencing the smartphone addiction among school children of the North Central province in Sri Lanka. A well administrated questionnaire is prepared based on the previous literature with constructs of Usefulness, Loneliness, Family Income Level, Gender and Addiction to Smart Phone. 140 respondents were selected using purposive sampling technique for data collection and analysis indicates that all the independent variables positively affect the addiction to smart phone. Loneliness and gender of students is having higher impact on the addiction. The advancement of technology severs to the growth of the children's educations, but parents have to place much attention to the use of technology by their children because addiction of smartphone would reduce their children's academic performance. The addiction of technology such as smartphones would be reduced when students are trained to think rationally from their childhood.

Cloud computing is becoming a prominent technology among the individuals with its exclusive characteristics and usage of remote resources through the Internet. This study examined the factors affecting to the university students' attitudes towards the use of cloud computing in lately established universities in Sri Lanka. A Structured questionnaire was developed and collected data from 150 respondents following the purposive sampling technique. A research model was developed and five hypotheses were tested using Correlation analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of this study revealed that Perceived Usefulness is the most Important variable to improve the students' attitudes to use the cloud computing. Further, other factors Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Security, Perceived Ease of Access and Social Influences were also affected to the students' attitudes towards the use of cloud computing. Learning environment of lately established universities in Sri Lanka should be improved to access the cloud based resources of the students to improve students' attitude towards use of cloud computing.

Nowadays people are intended to do online shopping. Shop on the internet becomes an alternative for consumers since it is more comfortable than conventional shopping which usually attribute with anxious, traffic jam, limited time, and parking space and etc. Even though Sri Lankan annual online retail sales value less than 1%. According to the pilot study 70% of university students never purchase anything from online shops. But as developing country Sri Lanka having sufficient level of infrastructure for online shopping. Sri Lanka is still considered internet as a new medium tool between the retailer and the consumers, and also retaining customers on online shops is the most issue that are faced by any online shops. Therefore the objective of the study is to identify the factors effecting to the University students online shopping behaviour. There are five factors contribute to this research, which are demographic factors, Awareness, Abilities, Assurance and Attitudes. This research was used a survey method of distributing questionnaires to  respondents. The researcher collected the 150 questionnaires from Rajarata university students and data has been collected was analysed by using statistical package for social science 21 (SPSS). The collected data have been analyzed by means of frequency distribution, correlation between variables, multivariate regression, independent sample T-test and Anowa test to identify the relationships between variables.  The results of the survey has shown that most of Students haven’t shops from online stores and not familiar with online purchasing. Also there are factors that make the buyer hesitant to come online purchasing, Where requirement for Assurance and Attitude top concern of the purchaser. Based on the research findings, the Awareness, Abilities, Assurance and Attitudes have a significant relationship to Rajarata University students’ online shopping behaviour. According the data analysis result of the study, none of demographic factor significantly effecting to the Rajarata University students online shopping behaviour. Therefore the study gives a model that online businesses should consider when select the university students as their online shopping target customers.

Unintentional poisonings kill an estimated 355,000 people globally each year [1]. Unintentional poisonings of agrochemicals are extremely frequent in developing countries that are mainly depending on agriculture [2]. Due to unsustainable forms of agriculture, toxic chemicals may be emitted straightly into soil, air, and water that may cause huge depredation on the human health and the entire eco system [3]. So, this review is mainly intended to evaluate the significance of sustainable handling of agrochemicals for the safety of all the parties which highlights the importance of establishing a proper education system to enhance the safer handling of agrochemicals among the farmers especially in the developing world. Thus, policy makers and relevant authorities should pay their attention to make effective strategies to control the conduct of the users of the agrochemicals in order to mitigate the serious effects of the unintentional poisonings of agrochemicals.

As a quantitative study complemented by explanatory research design this study intended to identify the impact of the target pressure on unethical behavior of micro credit loan officers in Sri Lanka by selecting 50 micro credit loan officers of different finance companies in Anuradhapura district by using simple random method employing a self-designed questionnaire. Data was analyzed by using Descriptive statistics, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis with the help of SPSS 21. As per the findings, there is a positive significant relationship between target pressure and the Unethical behavior of Micro Credit Loan Officers that may tend to engage in unethical behaviors in order to cover high targets. Thus, policy implementations should directed at setting realistic, practical and achievable targets in order to promote the ethical behavior among the Micro Credit Loan Officers which may grant benefits to customers, employees, company and the society as a whole. Moreover, Micro Finance Institutions can focus several areas to avoid or reduce this unethical pressure on loan officers on meeting targets by implementing effective human resource policies, supportive and flexible management and culture, proper training on stress management and a sophisticated monitoring and feedback mechanism.

Green Marketing has become a buzz and a novel concept in the world with emerging growth of the economy. It is an important practice which marketers can apply to their manufacturing and marketing process to enhancing the market share, profitability. As revealed by Kotler P. in 2004, the deterioration of the natural environment is a major global concern. In many countries in the world, air, soil and water pollution has reached dangerous levels and hence there is a greater concern about green activities. This problem has increased seriously day by day with the activities of manufacturing organizations in the world. Therefore, businesses have begun to modify their behavior to address this new concern of the society. At the same time, the program ―Derena‖, broadcasted by ITN Rupavahini channel in Sri Lanka continuously raised the bad effect of the environment pollution to the society well-being. Consequently, this study attempts to identify the extent and nature of green marketing strategies adopted by LSM organizations in the NCP in Sri Lanka, one of the most important geographical locations and with resource base in the country and to give recommendations to minimize the weakness associated. Accordingly, the study consists of two major independent variables; Designing for the environment and Integrated waste management. The sample was 17 LSM organizations with 05 manufacturing categories in the NCP. Establishments with 25 or more employees engaged were selected as LSM organizations. The sample was selected using judgmental and convenience methods. Data were collected by interviewing respondents using a structured questionnaire. Analysis reveals that overall green marketing usage in the LSM organizations in the NCP is very poor. Hence, it is required to take steps to improve the level of usage for enhancing the long term customer satisfaction and society well-being. Green marketing strategies are practiced at a very basic level except the green promotion and green distribution. Anyhow, the practices of ―Designing for environment‖ are somewhat better than the practices of ―Integrated waste management‖. Therefore, it is suggested to introduce further pollution prevention programs and resource recovery projects based on green policies.
