__________________________________ This research investigates different screenwriting practices based on the process of creation studies of some filmmakers on contemporary Brazilian cinema. It is a complementary look concerning the observation of practices of a varied corpus. The filmmakers whose processes are studied are mainly: Eliane Caffé, Anna Muylaert and Leonardo Mouramateus; and, in addition: Marcelo Gomes, Karim Ainouz, Alê Abreu and Cao Guimarães. The screenwriter-director is the study focus of this research in order to concentrate on the transformations, adaptations and recreations that the screenplays undergo throughout the entire process of film creation, and sees in the diversity of contemporary Brazilian cinema a corpus capable of expressing the complexity of the screenwriting and narrative in cinema. The guiding question is "how can the complex approach of a varied corpus, in a study that does not separate film, process and spectator, contribute to a broader education in the field of screenwriting and narrative studies in cinema?". It finds theoretical and methodological support especially in Cecília Salles' theory of creation process, in dialogue with other theories, such as the filmmakers theory (Aumont, 2002; Penafria et al. 2016); the polycentric approach to world cinema (Nagib, 2006; Dennison, 2013); the procedural theory of narrative (Ricoeur, 2010); materialities of communication (Gumbrecht, 2010); and film literacy studies (Tavares & Reia-Baptista, 2019; Reia-Baptista, 2009). Also, It is fundamental for reflections on screenwriting practices the observations on the reading processes according to Vilém Flusser and Paulo Freire; the gesture of making and the need to pontificate (translate) in Vilém Flusser; and the contributions of Jacques Rancière on the ignorant schoolmaster and the emancipated spectator. It seeks what is complementary, more than what is similar or different, in the diversity of screenwriting creation procedures in a vision of creation as continuous experimentation, which remains active throughout the process, and which also extends to the spectator. It seeks to contribute to the fields of communication studies, semiotics; creation process; cinema; narrative; screenwriting; film literacy and the history of Brazilian and world cinema, in a across disciplines approach.

_____________________________________________________ Sofia Coppola had a personal project: to present the public with the point of view of Queen Marie Antoinette. To achieve it, she decided to pursue an intimate journey of the historical character. Dialogue with her collaborators, among them the production designer KK Barrett and costume designer Milena Canorero, was crucial on this path. This research aims to investigate the construction of that intimate journey in Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette, focusing on the work of production design resulting from the relationship between authorship and collaboration. Here, "authorship" is understood as the existence of a personal poetic project for the film and "collaboration" as teamwork as it occurs in the film work. Ingeniously divided into teams - such as art, photography, music, drama and others - the creative process in the film work is the outcome of the communication between these teams. The production design is responsible for the visual concept of the film, working with the construction of visual elements such as scenery, costumes, makeup, objects, etc. The production design was of great importance for the development of Sofia Coppola's poetic project (the creation of an intimate journey), since the documents of the process reveale a filmmaker interested in telling the story far more for its visuals than for the speech of the characters. From this case study, considering the importance of the art team for the film, it was established that even if it were possible to speak of authorship in the collaborative process in film work – existing here as the presence of a personal poetic project focused on the figure of the director and screenwriter Sofia Coppola - that authorship is also fueled by the complexity of teamwork relationships. For this understanding, the methodological thinking of the critical process proposed by researcher Cecilia Almeida Salles was crucial. Composing the body of our research are the following documents of the process: the movie Marie Antoinette, the making of the movie that accompanies the DVD, the production notes available on the movie's official website, the press kit of the Cannes festival, the book by biographer Antonia Fraser which inspired the movie, the published screenplay, and interviews on websites, newspapers and magazines. The same materials from the film-maker and her team's other movies were utilized in this research. These documents contributed to the assertion of our relative perspective on the creative process.

The process of writing the screenplay for Second Mother involved a lot of rewriting and route changes over almost 20 years, but, despite what it may seem, the filmmaker says that it is not a closed project, but a process in permanent transformation and rewritten over the years in different moments. Muylaert details this process in several interviews, among them to Encontros de Cinema (2015), to Metrópolis (2015a), and Primeiro Tratamento (2020) when she points out the four great moments of the screenplay and the transformations it had to one version to another (199495-96; 2004; 2009 and 2013). Based especially on these reports and the screenplay version of December 30, 2013, we undertook a study on the creation archives of the Second Mother screenplay, moved by the search path and the questions posed by Anna Muylaert, with the theoretical and methodological support of the critical theory of creative processes by Cecilia Salles (Networks of creation, 2019; Unfinished gesture, 2019) and, in addition, studies by screenwriter Jack Epps (Screenwriting is Rewriting, 2016), about the relevance of rewriting processes, and by Paul Joseph Gulino (Screenwrintig: sequence approach, 2004), about the sequence approach technique used to structure screenplays, fundamental, according to Muylaert, for the improvisation on the set, and incorporation of the environment, as she was looking.

____________________________________________ The present work was written by many authors in the context of the Research Group on Creation Processes at PUC-SP, in the face of the permanent challenge generated by the expansion of creation archives. The starting point happened with a publication on the Instagram profile of Ateliê Carlos Vergara, in which the artist records (and posts) the burning of archives, as an "exercise of rigor". The post triggered several questions about the materiality of the archives, especially in the digital context and the social networks. Thus, the materiality transformation; accumulation and coexistence between registration practices; process performances; specificities of the audiovisual record and the social networks are some of the issues covered in the article.

___________________________________ This communication investigates the strategies of making the film Antônio um two three exist itself, with a focus on screenwriting practices, in a perspective of the screenplay inseparable from production and direction.

______________________ The critical theory in creative processes is a theoretical and methodological approach, which leads to reflection on the objects of communication and the arts, focusing mainlyon the production paths. Literacy studies, in turn, propose a dialogical reading of theworld, which implies a broader and culturally referenced understanding of artisticcreations. This article proposes a convergence between these two fields to observe the presence of the creative reader in screenwriting practices. For that purpose, it analyzesthe materialities of the screenwriting creation process of some Brazilian contemporaryfilmmakers and screenwriters in a complementary perspective.

__________________________________________ The reader, as an active and embodied subject, is also inserted in the history of the art and the cinema, and dialogues with the creation strategies of each art. _____________________________________ In ABC of Reading, Ezra Pound recalls theimportance of listening to poets to understand poetryand to observe pictures (rather than books about pictures) to understand art history. ____________________________________ One of the main themes to the theory of creation processes, as proposed by Cecilia Al-meida Salles, is that of communicative practices. Under this bias, the author points to cre-ation as “tendency towards the other in several ways” (SALLES, 2002, p. 68). Here, we bring a study that aims to show some dimensions of these practices, especially in regards to the desire of encounter with the viewer. In addition to Salles’ criticism of processes, other theorists collaborate in this investigation – among them Gilbert Simondon, Jacques Rancière, Georges Didi-Huberman, as well as Vincent Colapietro and Charles Sanders Peirce, with whom Salles stablishes dialogue. It is an eort that exemplies the multidisci-plinary works developed by the Research Group on Processes of Creation (CNPq) at PUC-SP, in dierent artistic languages and under several approaches to creation. We believe that by taking the work of art as a catalyst for cultural phenomena, aggregated by subject, we take distance from the “temptation to understand the creative processes in the strict relation between lived fact and the ctional work” (SALLES, 2006, p. 70), and this is what we seek here, choosing as starting point the relations between author and viewer.

______________________________________ A recurrent metaphor among screenwriters compares the screenplay to a flight plan. One of the screenwriters who cited this metaphor was Karim Ainouz, in a screenwriters meeting in Curitiba (Fiction Live II, 2013), where he presented the screenplay as a "flight map". During the meeting, the filmmaker mentioned some moments in the making of the film, when, being the screenplayer, made him freer to experiment during different stages of the process. This, in some way, brings the screenplay closer to the artistic experimentation in the context of the collective process of the cinema. Other filmmakers, such as Eliane Caffé, Anna Muylaert and Hilton Lacerda also mentioned, in different documents of process (interviews, open debates, screenplay published version’s preface text), a greater degree of experimentation and openness to chance, when they are also the screenwriters. The screenplay is not seen as a constraint but source of freedom: a map to achieve larger flights. Lastly, the relation of the experience of these four filmmakers is made with Cao Guimarães who prefers to write the screenplays in the montage. Reports and screenplays will be discussed, in a complementary perspective, to present the potential of the screenplay as a tool of experimentation. It is a discussion from the point of view of the process critic (Salles), who proposes an investigation about the creation in the scope of the thought of complexity.

__________________________________________________ The records of the creation process in Sofia Coppola indicate a trend, which is the search for the intimate journey of the characters. Proceeding with the trend of Sofia Coppola's poetic project, the following movies will be analyzed from the viewpoint of the creation process: The Virgin Suicides (1999); Lost in Translation (2003); Marie Antoinette (2006); Somewhere (2010) and The Bling Ring (2013) in a relational perspective. This research has the theoretical and methodological support from the Cecília A. Salles’s critical process, as studied in the research group in Creation processes from the PostGraduate Program in Communication and Semiotics of Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo – PUC-SP, and the mythologist Joseph Campbell's journey concept (1990; 2007; 2008) and the Robert McKee’s climax and controlling idea concepts (2006).

This paper analyzes the relationship between authorship and collaboration in movies, using the production design of Sofia Coppola’s movie Marie Antoinette (2006) as a case study. Here, “authorship” is perceived as the existence of a personal poetic project for the movie, and “collaboration” is the teamwork as it happens in the making of movies. Several sources were analyzed, such as interviews published in websites, newspapers and magazines from the period that the movie was released; the team’s filmography; the making of feature film; the press kit of 2006 Cannes Festival and the production notes that were published on the movie’s official website.
Keywords: authorship, collaboration, creation process, cinema, production design.
In the e-mail that he sent the script and his dissertation letter on the process of creation of the film, he stressed that the document was, in effect, a “””script””” (with many quotation marks), one of the last versions of the film, solely for the purposes of bureaucratic registration requirements at ANCINE, the Brazilian Film Agency, emphasizing that, to him, “there is no script, only game.”
In books and handbooks on cinema, we find fairly complex definitions of what a script is, or how it should be written, this hybrid genre between literary writing and a handbook of instructions, this “in-between” genre – a potential text, a pre-viewed and rehearsed praxis in writing. From handbooks instructions what remains is what is not there.
The film and Mouramateus’ process, which is not solely confined to Antonio um dois três, but encompasses the many short films that he made, raised issues regarding the concept of script writing. Not for the sake of definition or closure, but as an endeavor of seeking, in the study of the creative practices of this film, to expand the idea of script, bringing it closer to what is more essential to it: imagining and enable imagining films – the primary function of any script, through verbal resources whether written or not.
We thus opted for viewing the script as a state of imagination. Or, as Mouramateus says, a game.
For an analysis of these materials, we found theoretical and methodological inputs in Cecilia Almeida Salles’ criticism of creative processes, and in the proposal of narrative as a process by Paul Ricouer; in Gaston Bachelard’s concepts of poetic imagination; Dietmar Kamper’s power of imagination and imaginary orbit; Hans Benting’s endogenous images; and of the visuality and mental cinemas of Italo Calvino.
