This paper looks at the role of sampling in the contemporary music industry, with regards to electronic music subcultures; internet music; and appropriation. It examines the existing legal & cultural environment surrounding sampling, and argues that the practice, through technological advancements, is a typical action fundamental to music and culture - the borrowing/appropriation of ideas. It is here that Richard Dawkin's theory of memetics is applied to the study of musical appropriation, from the macro scale of subcultures/genres to the micro scale musical imitations made every day by creators. This essay includes primary research into contemporary electronic music creator's application of sampling into their art. By combining these sources, it is contested that the current stigma surrounding sampling is actually detrimental to the advancement of contemporary music.
This paper was submitted as a dissertation for the music industry management course at UEL, May 2015.

This special issue addresses principally, but not exclusively, two themes: first, the differences and similarities between two stylised and separable, but not separate, class policies – that of Anglo-American neo-liberalism and German-Austrian ordoliberalism; and second, whether or not European Union Treaties and actual policies have been driven by German-Austrian ordoliberal principles. By way of examining these two themes, the contributions also tackle other important questions and puzzles, such as the wider impacts of those policies on society, or the tensions created between theoretical postulates and the practical implementation of them, or why neo-liberalism proved to be so resilient after the global financial crisis of 2007–2008. They also endeavour to place these discussions in wider, global contexts. Our introduction provides a comprehensive summary of the arguments developed by the contributors and poses some further questions setting out a new research agenda in the field...

The aim of this study was to evaluate the activity and toxicity of a tirapazamine (TPZ)/cisplatin drug combination in patients with stage IV or recurrent cervical cancer. The chemotherapy was administered for a maximum of eight cycles every 21 days. TPZ was administered intravenously at 330 mg/m2 over a 2-h infusion, followed 1 h later by cisplatin intravenously at 75 mg/m2 over 1 h on day 1. All patients received antiemetics including dexamethasone, ondansetron, and lorazepam. Subsequent doses were unchanged, reduced, or omitted according to observed toxicity and protocol guidelines. Response evaluation was performed every two cycles. Thirty-six patients with stage IV or recurrent cervical cancer were treated. Ninety-four percent of patients had prior radiotherapy. Two patients had prior chemotherapy. There were two complete responses and eight partial responses (27.8%). An additional 11 patients (30.6%) had stable disease as their best response. Response rate was greater in tumors outside of the previously radiated field (44.4% vs 11.1%). The median time to progression was 32.7 weeks. The most frequent grade 3 or 4 adverse events were nausea, vomiting, and fatigue, which occurred in 30.6%, 25%, and 22% of subjects, respectively. Anemia was the most frequent grade 3 or 4 hematologic toxicity at 8.3%. We conclude that the combination of cisplatin and TPZ was reasonably well tolerated in patients with recurrent or advanced cervical cancer. Further evaluation of this drug combination may be warranted.

This study explains the current interest of travellers and business of tourism in Artificial Intelligence. It takes into account how Artificial intelligence disrupts the travel distribution. And, how it impacts on tourist behaviour. The methodology approach in this study employs a descriptive data analysis. It describes the data of UK traveller outbound behaviour and the economic performance of TUI Plc. Thomas Cook Plc. and Booking.com. Besides, the methodology approach includes Critical Realism. It provides a philosophical explanatory of the impact.
This study, concludes that the application of Artificial Intelligence in the business of tourism disrupt the travel distribution. It is in the form of the new Intelligent Travel Agents (ITA). But their services affect travellers heuristics and intuition negatively. It displaces travellers learning to discover new products and services.
Finally, this study makes recommendations. First, it all proposes recommendations to the management of Intelligent Travel Agents. It suggests to match its products and services through Market-bound Self-reinforcing Mechanism. It would create a strategy for developing new traveller segments. It also recommends that Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) should be at the heart of the Intelligent Travel Agents.

Each demographic generation exhibits character traits that distinguish one from another. Closer examination and understanding of these habits and preferences provide vital clues to communicate effectively with and to respond to the demands of the people within a particular demographic group. The study of consumer behaviour forms a core component in strategic marketing and branding. In this paper, existing research have been analyzed, current attitudes and social trends have been surveyed in order to discover if there are fundamental differences between Italian and US Millennials, and what exactly these differences are.
