Our paper emphasizes the analysis of the web marketing strategies implemented on four Romanian universities and four European universities websites. We reveal the main components of the online communication strategies focused on web marketing tools and social networks, in order to outline the cultural differences referring to web marketing approaches in different countries from the European Union. We consider that our paper has significant implications on the higher education e-strategies as it provides a high visibility of the academic institutions in the online environment which is appreciated by the main target represented by the students. Starting from the results and determined statistical indicators on data collected as part of the COMOR Project, developed by The Scientific Society of Management from Romania, to characterize managerial behavior in Romanian economic organizations, we have initiated an exploration using data mining techniques. The purpose of this analysis is to investigate whether group cohesion is valued at the expense of individualism attitude, based on the results obtained in this project and the impact that individualism / collectivism orientation has on the behavior of the employees in Galati organizations.

In advocating for CSR we shall start from the fact that there should be a policy on the company level according to which these companies have a responsibility that goes beyond a simple algorithm on profit. This concept is based on the responsibility towards people, society and environment that are affected by their activity. Beside the company’s contribution to the society by creating work places, taxes and collateral economic effects, the company can develop products, services, production methods and business practices. In this context, CSR ensures the achievement of a strong connection between the private environment and the community, contributing at the same time to the sustainable development of the company. The CSR concept should be regarded as an integral part of the company, that should not hinder the proper activities conducted by that company, but to represent responsibility towards society.

This paper outlines the role and benefits of social networks use on the increase of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign awareness, revealing the correlations between the maximization of the positive attitudes expressed by the fans of a brand and the CSR campaign indicators. The study emphasizes that a CSR campaign which lead to a social problem solving determine a higher tendency of the consumers to follow the official page of the company - which managed the CSR campaign - on a social network.Then, the attention is focused on the decision-making influence factors regarding the follow-up of a CSR campaign in the online environment, reflecting the most relevant indicators provided by social networking process assessment.

ABSTRACT The paper examines the relationship between two important variables that define small and medium-sized enterprises: organizational culture and responsiveness. Firms operating in Romania were selected for the study. The country offers a business context with many changes over the last two decades, a challenge and an opportunity for researchers. Results show that the combination of entrepreneurial characteristics and planning and goal oriented managerial styles suits best successful companies. The market-driven type of culture has the best coordination and is best positioned to deliver customer-centered versatility, while adhocracy helps businesses respond fast to changes in the market environment.

Based on data collected as part of the COMOR Project for the analysis of organizational culture in the Romanian business environment, developed by The Scientific Society of Management from Romania, we have initiated, using Business Intelligence tools, a scan of the characteristics of organizational culture organizational culture for Galati County. The aim of the research is to investigate the particularities of cultural dimensions, based on the Multifocus Model developed by Geert Hofstede, are found in economic organizations in Romania, and, in particular in the business environment of Galati. An important topic of the research is to identify the drivers that influence managerial behavior at the level of the Romanian organizations in order to promote and to guide the change at the level of the microeconomic structures.
