White bread generally contains low dietary fiber. To reduce wheat flour usage, local ingredients such as local soybean can be used as an alternative to increasing the nutritional value. The addition of inulin can increase the level of dietary fiber. This research aimed to determine the chemical, physical, and sensory characteristics of white bread with soybean substitution and white sweet potatoes (Ipomea batatas L.) inulin extract addition and to determine the best formula.     Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri) is a type of tuber that has a high glucomannan content. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of slice thickness on the quality of porang tuber chips using the Green House Effect (GHE) method by pretreatment with 0.15% sodium metabisulfite solution immersion. The slice thickness treatment was carried out at three levels, including 4 mm, 6 mm, and 8 mm, while the drying treatment was carried out with two types, which are the GHE drying method and the conventional drying method using sunlight. The results of the research on porang chips on brightness, moisture content, glucomannan content, ash content, and calcium oxalate content showed that the thickness of the slices had an effect on the quality of the chips. This study aimed to determine the biogas production, biogas yield, hydraulic retention time, and the quality of biogas made from cassava and cassava leaves with cow dung as a starter. The experiments were performed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four repetitions. Substrate composition of cassava leaves, cassava tubers, and cow dung is A (15: 0: 85), B (0:15:85), C (0:25:75), and D (0:35:65). Variance analysis performed using SAS statistical program.     The objective of the research was to analyze noise and vibration of hand tractor.  Noise was measured with digital sound level meter, while vibration was measured with portable vibration meter. The result showed that the noise level of hand tractor Perkasa 700 GX which was 88 – 99 dB (A) exceeded the critical tolerance level of 85 dB (A), while the vibration level of 2.10 Hz with acceleration of 24.20 m/sec2exceeded the critical tolerance level of 2.10 Hz with acceleration of 10.00 m/sec2. To reduce noise and vibration, it is suggested to improve construction of the hand tractor by improving engine design especially the muffler, installing a spring ring on each bolt, mounting shock breakers, as well as using an engine.     The purpose of this research was to study the effect of power intensity and reaction time on the yield and the characteristic using an erlenmeyer glass heated in a microwave oven with power capacity of 399 watt and frequency of 2,450 arrangements was used in this experiment. Treatment consisted of two factors, namely power intensity and reaction time. The power intensity included three levels (30, 50, and 70%). Similarly did for the reaction time (30, 60, and 120 cooking oil to methanol). Parameters to be analyzed included biodiesel yield, acid number, density, and viscosity of = 1%. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan pemborosan pupuk, penurunan produktivitas, peningkatan biaya produksi, penurunan keuntungan, dan dampak negatif pada lingkungan. Masalah tersebut dapat diatasi dengan pendekatan precision farming.     Data historis dosis pemupukan pada budidaya tebu dan hasil yang diperoleh (hasil tebu dan kadar gula) sangat bermanfaat untuk mengetahui dosis pemupukan yang memberikan hasil yang tinggi.  Hubungan tersebut dapat diformulasikan dengan artificial neural network . Penelitian ini bertujuan membangun model artificial neural network sehingga dapat ditentukan kebutuhan jumlah hara N, P, dan K pada target hasil tebu ( yield ) dan kadar gula yang diharapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Artificial Neural Network ( ANN ) yang dibangun untuk memformulasikan hubungan antara jumlah hara yang dibutuhkan dengan hasil tebu dan kadar gula memiliki akurasi R 2 =0.93 untuk pupuk pertama N, R 2 =0.88 untuk pupuk pertama P, R 2 =0.88 untuk pupuk kedua N, dan R 2 =0.92 untuk pupuk kedua K.     South Kalimantan is a largest rice producer in Kalimantan island. More than five years its rice met by their own production, moreover it has supplied to other area such as Kalimantan Tengah, Kalimantan Timur and Kalimantan Utara. In many studies, rice stocks play a critical role in determining the regional’s food security. In recent issues, rice stocks has a wide impact on an array of economic, political, societal stabilities. Unfortunately, most of the land in Kalimantan Selatan is classified as wetlands, where the land productivity is low. Therefore, this study analyzes rice supply patterns in Kalimantan Selatan in order to provide policies development toward rice self-sufficiency. This research is using system dynamics approach to explore the system which then develop any alternatives of rice policies. Eventually, this study provides evidences for the need to consider rice supply system in the regional’s food security policies.
