Anti-Terrorism

Fortunately, there is a science-based approach that can protect Pakistan from both internal and external threats. It is appropriately termed, Invincible Defence Technology (IDT), because it assures invincibility, peace and even economic progress, to the nation and the military that employ it.

Its methods have been proven and adopted as part of the training of America's future commanders at Norwich University, a nationally respected and oldest military academy in the USA. IDT is further validated by 23 peer-reviewed studies carried out in both developed and developing nations. Its coherence-creating effect has also been documented on a global scale in a study published in the Journal of Offender Rehabilitation. When large assemblies of civilian IDT experts gathered during the years 1983 - 1985, international conflict decreased 32%, terrorism-related casualties decreased 72%, and overall violence was reduced in nations without intrusion by other governments.

3713 sayılı Terörle Mücadele Kanunu, yürürlüğe girdiği tarihten beri tartışmalara sebep olmuş, defalarca değiştirilmiş, Anayasa Mahkemesi tarafından bazı hükümleri iptal edilmiştir. Geçmişten günümüze, gerek iç hukukta gerek Avrupa İnsan Hakları Mahkemesi’nde davalara ve kararlara konu olan suç tipi, terörle mücadelede görev almış kamu görevlisinin hüviyetinin açıklanmasını, yayınlanmasını veya kamu görevlisinin hedef gösterilmesini cezalandırmaktadır. Kamu görevlisinin yaşam hakkını veya vücut bütünlüğünü korumayı amaçlayan düzenlemede mağdurun terörle mücadelede görev almış olması gerekmektedir. Terörle mücadelede görev almış kavramının, uygulamada sorun yaratabilecek şekilde geniş bir biçimde algılandığı görülmektedir. Bu ifadenin aktif bir biçimde terörle mücadelede yer almış ya da istihbari destek sağlamış kamu görevlisi olarak dar biçimde anlaşılması gerekmektedir. Diğer yandan kamu görevlilerinin hüviyetlerinin açıklanması veya yayınlanması yine uygulamada basın hürriyetiyle ve hak arama hürriyetiyle çatışır bir görünüm arz etmektedir. Çalışmamızda suç tipinin unsurlarına ve ilgili yargı kararlarına, düzenlemenin sorun teşkil ettiğini düşündüğümüz kısımlarına dair önerilerimizi ortaya koyarken suç tipinin basın hürriyetiyle bağlantısına da geniş yer vermeyi uygun gördük.

Carlos svela la verità sugli attentati dell’11 settembre, e spiega, con una lucida analisi, la strategia statunitense della “guerra preventiva”, motivata dalla necessità di mantenere il controllo sul prezzo del petrolio, scambiato sui mercati internazionali in dollari. Una feroce critica ai media occidentali, al capitalismo, al consumismo, all’Onu, e alla sinistra occidentale, accusata di essersi adagiata “sugli allori della borghesia convertendosi al liberalismo californiano”.

AS DEMONSTRATED by the recent wave of attacks, terrorists find ways to thwart counter-terrorism defenses. However, for leaders who seek it, there is a simple and cost-effective solution to create lasting peace known in military circles as Invincible Defense Technology (IDT). This method comes from the fields of social sciences and quantum unified field theory – not from conventional approaches utilizing weaponry, and not from the field of politics.

Abstract: The expansion of neo-liberalism has deepened the gap between wealth and poverty and brought poverty issues among developing countries during the Post-Cold War Era. Two distinct ideological narratives have evolved--the religious narrative of "anti-terrorism" and the LGBT-human-rights narrative of "anti-homophobia"--to politically and economically strengthen the dominant position of the West over Third World countries.  This article attempts to analyze two sets of contradictions, namely, the contradiction within "civilization" and the contradiction within "aid", to demonstrate how the discourse of "western LGBT human rights", or “anti-homophobia,” can bring forth political effects on the project of "anti-terrorism".

The main purpose of this article is to present the results of a social
research on relevant Ukrainian problems connected with the employment of
demobilized soldiers who participated in anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in
eastern Ukraine. Many veterans have been demobilized during 2 years of the
ATO – all of them have to adapt to civilian life again. One of the most
important roles in successful social adaptation of a person who was at war is
performed by labour and self-fulfilment. Main research tasks were: 1) to
describe employment of ATO veterans; 2) to characterize the influence of
war experience of a person on employment; 3) to identify reasons of
unemployment; 4) to characterize veterans’ attitude to self-employment etc.
Research method is telephone interview. Sample: 904 people in 5 regions of
Ukraine and Kyiv. It is the first research on employment and social
adaptation of ATO veterans.

Theorists of criminal law widely agree that state punishment involves harsh treatment and stigma and that states must therefore provide protections for targeted individuals. But certain regulatory measures can also be used to impose harsh treatment and stigma. This paper addresses the stigmatic impact of harsh regulatory measures. It argues that harsh regulatory measures that label targeted individuals as risky impose a stigma that has the potential to significantly affect these individual’s personal and professional relationships. Such measures include area restrictions applied to alleged terrorists and registration requirements for convicted sex offenders. I recommend ways of implementing legal safeguards for targeted individuals against the stigma involved in the employment of such measures.

An ancient Chinese parable tells of a poor young farmer who lost his only possession: The horse that he had inherited from his father. The members of the village visited the poor farmer and expressed their condolences for his loss. "How do you know that losing my horse was a misfortune?" Sure enough, about a week later the horse returned with a healthy young mare as its wife. The citizens of the village were shocked, and they all went to visit the farmer to congratulate him on his good fortune. "How do you know that gaining the mare is good fortune?" Again, the young farmer's words rang true. About two weeks later, as he was breaking the mare, she threw him and he broke his leg. All the people of the village gathered around his bed to console him for his tragedy. "How do you know that breaking my leg was a tragedy?. Later that month, the Japanese invaded. The emperor sent emissaries to every village to find healthy young men. All the young men of the village were sent to the front except the young farmer whose leg had not yet healed. None of the young men returned…all were killed in battle.

Online media have also contributed to the movement of anti-terrorism in Indonesia like the one done by internet memes. After the terrorist attack in M.H. Thamrin street, Central Jakarta, Indonesia, on 14 January 2016, a number of internet memes went viral in social media and the internet in responding to the terrorist attack. This paper addresses this topic by exploring, investigating, analyzing, and explaining the phenomena of internet memes related to the terrorist attack. Particularly, the analysis focuses on the variety and the contents of the internet memes as the response and messages of the internet and social media users related to Sarinah bombing. This interdisciplinary study is a qualitative-descriptive research that involves the study of language-literary studies and terrorism studies. The memes are analyzed by using Semiotics theory of Umberto Eco and the concept of terrorism studies. Finally, these kinds of memes are the signs of voices of some Indonesian people through online communication for fighting terrorism that can also be called as part of the sign of Indonesian online movement of anti-terrorism in social media and the internet.

One of the least discussed, but most influential, processes by which media and communication policy have become" global” is legal harmonization, the establishment of laws and regulations that are like each other across states irrespective of differences in legal and political systems. Harm-onization, also known as policy convergence, policy transfer, and legal globalization, is not new {Braman 1993), but it has been growing in importance for the past. several decades.

It is now commonplace to suggest that acts of terrorism on home soil impact the media’s ability to challenge the anti-terror policies that follow immediately from them. Still, complex contexts can emerge, and this article focuses on one that shapes a media response to a proposed UK anti-terror policy in 2006. It observes how proposed legislation for an identity card scheme, following closely after the 2005 London bombings, is reported in the elite press according to different ‘thresholds’. Emerging from an initial (1) observing of political conflict and a (2) detailing of claims made about the policy are (3) moments of performed criticism of the policy as a ‘threat’ to the British public’s ‘civil liberties’ by these newspapers. This verbally ‘empowered’ coverage provides an important exception to the previously observed media passivity in response to anti-terror policies/propaganda. Furthermore, the article argues that this is instigated by a complex context of political contest and reproduced cultural associations that encourage the performance of these newspapers’ ‘fourth estate’ role.
